I gave these people a chance before taking it to the reviews. We've been coming here since my 9 year old was old enough for a dental cleaning. My 6 year old and wife come here too. Every 6 months. My daughter has had ortho work here and so has my wife. Since I neglect my care more than I should, I called to plan my dental work ahead and save up. I was told I would get a discount of a couple hundred dollars since my whole family comes here. Sounded nice. So I eventually scheduled it. I was told the same over the phone. I took hours off from work to make it in. Planned a nice meal before. Went in and was hit with $0 discount. Reason being, the manager that promised the discount wasn't in and the assistant manager didn't have the authority to give a discount. Ok, I understand. Although to get to that date, in that seat, it took me about a year to save. Not to mention I had my gums poked and every single tooth x rayed and checked already. 2 hours burned. For what? The part that did it for me, was that the "assistant manager" had no empathy or care to my scenario. She was pretty much like take it or leave it. I was upset. This was April 10th. So, I called back to get the manager on the phone. That same assistant would tell me she wasn't in. Finally after 4 days of calling, the manager was in. She told me she would give me a call back to see what could be done. She never called. Never emailed. I also got a notification right after I walked out that my email was changed. By who? Who authorized it? Very unprofessional and very shady of them to give me a car salesman experience and not even call back to try to make it right. I tried to make it right and were 16 calendar days in and nothing. Don't recommend this place if you're looking for honesty. I have been a patient for years and had always been happy until 2 weeks ago. Two weeks ago I went in for my scheduled cleaning and was told I needed a crown on one of my molars because of a crack they found. . I had the crown done and was sent home. Within a couple hours I was in the ER because I couldn't open my mouth and my jaw hurt so bad. I was told that jaw muscles were in spasms because my mouth had been open for a long time while they worked on my crown. I was giving muscles relaxers and told to follow up with my dentist. When I was able to get a follow-up appointment for the pain and not being able to open my mouth, I was told to take Tylenol and I should be able ti open my mouth in a couple days. A week goes by and my jaw hurts so bad that I thought I had an ear infection . I again end up in the ER only to be told that my ear was fine and my pain was to do with my jaw. I called my dentist and they said to come in the following day, which I did. After my exam I was told I needed a root canal on the same tooth I had the crown two weeks earlier. I asked for pain meds to help while I waited for them to set up an appointment to do my root canal and was once again told no. I have always hated the dentist and this place completely changed my POV of them. Everyone was so friendly and gentle. I am a new patient and they took care of me on my very first exam! It was a "let's do it now or soon" type of deal and of course I said now. My other dental place was horrible with that kind of stuff and would need 10,000 referrals and take weeks to get you to where you needed. It was like I didn't matter. I also appreciate the fact that they do EVERYTHING then and there. I was told I needed a crown and they shaved my tooth down to get rid of my cavity, molded the shape and created the crown then and there. Everything was pretty quick too! Doctor Rucker and his staff were so gentle and positive and honest! I am excited to go back in December possibly sooner to have my wisdom teeth removed because like I said they do everything there. ‼I've been coming here for a few years, but after my last cleaning, I'm going somewhere else. I was told I needed a deep cleaning and by looking at reviews, apparently, they tell many people that. Although I have dental insurance, it's not covered and an out of pocket cost. Daniel told me if I don't get the deep cleaning, their office will drop me and no longer see me. I made a call to my Aunt & her husband for a second & third opinion. She is a dentist and he is a hygienist in CA. They said no dental office has the right to do that. I had even called my insurance company and they told me that was the first time they've ever heard a patient get dropped because they refused a deep cleaning. read more

The dentist is fabulous at making the kids comfortable and not afraid. Both my kids have come to this location and have had a great experience. 5 stars for the professionalism of Dr. Brown. He is a great dentist, And he cares about patients. The problem is the hustle that occurs on the initial meeting. Once the X-rays are done, the girl who is the patient coordinator came into the room while I was in the chair and displays a worksheet that stated I need about $4000 worth of work. That was for the bridge I needed. I had a cavity in another tooth. Normally I would get a filling. No! She stated I needed a crown. That's another couple of thousand dollars. Oh, for teeth cleaning? $1200. They said I needed a deep cleaning. Why is that a hustle? My wife went there a week after my initial exam. BAM! She was told she needed a deep cleaning! $1200. Plus, her estimate came up to......$4000!!!! To get the bridge, I used up all my insurance, plus Care Credit, and I still owed money!! HORRIBLE! I wanted to get an estimate on crowning my two upper front teeth as they were chipped off. They offered a free exam and x-ray to bait me, so I bit. The front desk receptionist was the only friendly guy in this low class den of vipers. They do not introduce themselves to begin with and rush you through x-ray. I have no idea who this little girl was, but she sucked. Then a dentist comes in and has no name either! He starts with the con job right away handing me a mirror and pointing out everything that needs to be taken care of. Sure! There is now a list that would involve extensive time at the dentist, orthodontist and periodontist. They are like used car salesman...bad ones. This little twerp begins testing the gums and calling out numbers referring to gum condition. He then jabs me deep into a pocket of nerves and keeps pushing! I was really close to turning him into a fine powder. What an ass! Always be aware of the "DEEP CLEAN" scam. I told this guy I had a deep cleaning 6 months ago! Why do I need another? It doesn't seem like it did any good. Come on! Nice try junior. He was in shock and never did tell me HIS charge for a deep clean, and this procedure does nothing at all...nothing. They are very unprofessional and amateurish as they are young and without much experience. As soon as I heard "deep cleaning," that was my signal to leave asap. You can see this scam a mile away. I'm so glad to have found SMSD .. a few months ago, my veneer came undone and I have been calling all neighborhood orthodontists amidst the pandemic.. noBody was taking new patients ..SMSD found me a spot and Dr. Yu was able to put it back in little time .. Since then, I've been here twice .. once for a dental checkup and a deep cleaning .. the staff is very courteous & professional .. everything is clean and all work seemed done in an efficient and timely manner to my full satisfaction .. I made an appointment to see Dr. Yu because I needed a temporary solution for my missing front tooth. I had my engagement photoshoot in a week, so I needed something that could be done quickly but look completely natural. Dr. Yu was very knowledgable and took the time to discuss my options given my tight timeframe. I am BEYOND pleased with the result!! When I talk and smile, you can't tell at all that I have a fake tooth! I am so happy (and relieved!) because I know my engagement photos will come out perfectly now thanks to Dr. Yu and his attention to detail and amazing skills! Also, I can't say enough about the friendly staff and facility. When I walked into the office, I was immediately greeted by a very pleasant employee at the front desk, and Dr. Yu and his assistant were super nice and professional (yet down to earth). This is a brand new office with all new equipment and clean, updated rooms - which I love! It's also very kid friendly (the larger waiting room area has tablets with kid's games), and they even have tv screens mounted to the ceiling in some of the exam rooms to keep patients entertained/distracted during their visit! You can tell making their patients feel welcomed and comfortable is a top priority to them. It was such a positive experience that I'm going to continue my dental treatment at this office to work towards a permanent solution for the gap in my front teeth. I received the worst treatment ever, from the schedulers ( who never put my appointment on the calendar) to Dr. Sharastani, who always seemed to want to be somewhere else. I saw the endodontist, who only works there one day a week, and am still waiting for the doctor to call to discuss the treatment plan. It's been over a month. I am obviously not a priority. Nice and clean office. Friendly staff. My root canal was quick and painless. The dr was quick and efficient and explained as he went as it was my first. He numbed me so well I didn't have any discomfort whatsoever. A week later I came back for the crown. Sorry don't remember the name but he smelled really good I wanted to ask what it was but he was so professional I froze. ANYWAYS. Loved the hygienists who helped both times. Multiple people told me the root canal was beautiful to which I was very confused (average joe here) upon googling an ugly root canal I saw what they meant. First i want to say that we have found our clinic!!! Their concierge Kasey is very helpful. We were greeted at the door immediately. She had her mask on but you can see that smile in her eyes. Shes very helpful and informative and has a great customer service not just with me, but also with my kids! Chatavia cleaned my 3 yr old twin girls teeth and i'm very impressed! My girls are crazy and wild and normally wont listen to anyone but me. My girls were behave and they listened to her instructions. Chatavia was very patient and was very gentle with the girls. My girls love her!! Dr Farokh is amazing and very informative. She explained things and procedures well with us. We are happy with her and this clinic and we will sure be back in 6 months. read more

My insurance finally kicked in so decided to enjoy my benefits! I turned out to be their first patient at their newest location!! I was very happy to see how excited the staff was. Dentist visits are known to be traumatic and dreadful but this visit ended up being the best I've ever had. Dr. Yu was great! He was very detailed about everything he found during my exam. He also broke down all my options on how to tackle my issues. I really loved how the staff was not forcing choices on me and allowing me to choose freely. Have a dentist in Los Angeles, but wanted to be able to keep cleanings on schedule while in Las Vegas. This office refused to clean my teeth, even with x-rays provided by my regular dentist, unless I also wanted to pay for unnecessary dangerous additional radiation. I wouldn't even have minded an extra fee, but it is super unhealthy to get unnecessary x-rays. Apparently, patient health is not a top priority here. Made me sad. read more

Samira Farokh the pediatric dentist was amazing and the staff there was just as great!!!! They made my 11 year old son feel comfortable and explained everything to me and took there time to make sure he was ok. They were amazing when they did his dental work making sure he was fine the whole time and talking to him and letting him know what they were going to do next. I was really appreciative that they let him hear the sounds that the tools made and let him feel certain tools that they were going to use on him also. I felt like it made him more relaxed when they explained to him and put his fears to ease!!! MY SON LOVED IT THERE AND HAD A GOOD EXPERIENCE... that you can have at a dentist office!!! Awful awful experience -Terrible billing dept and reconciliation of their own mistakes of billing me direct and not my insurance. Twice! I was sent to their collections for an X-ray bill that was improperly run through my dental insurance and when I questioned it being wrong- WAS not told the truth -AND Again was sent a bill for an entire service fee that was not billed directly to my insurance. A bill for $443 for an X-ray and cleaning. When I walked in to personally take care of it and let them know about this serious -mistake which was shadow mountain billing me out of pocket instead of the proper way through my insurance- I got no where with this first interaction (even though they supposedly emailed and set up a "ticket"). Another bill was shipped out 3 weeks later and I called again and had to explain (rather angrily explain) that I was never bringing my entire family, 6 of us by the way, back for their dental services. They suddenly then called me back in 10 min. Hmmm weird. They told me I didn't owe anything anymore and they fixed it....Then strangely enough the collection agency called me an hour later demanding I pay the $443 over the phone now. After being told an hour before this was taken care of. ...A complete scam. And they go through dentists and roll over staff every 6 months. I have been a customer for 5 years- but will NOT be back. Please do not go to this dentist office and their sister office Shadow Mountain right across the parking lot. read more
