This review is long overdue. I have been a patient here for a long time and I want to describe my experience here. I have found it difficult to find good medical care. I appreciate how this office runs and how easy my appointments always are. Every appointment is always on time with no waiting. I am always in and out before I know it and the staff is always incredibly kind, friendly, and professional. I have gotten several different things done and I am regular with my cleanings and checkups. I love how clear the doctor is with her explanations of what she is seeing. I am always shown X-rays and photos and the doctor and staff takes time to answer questions. I also appreciate that costs are explained upfront and I am always given a detailed estimate. They have flexible payment plans and affordable options that you can pay monthly making the costs very reasonable and affordable. In terms of insurance, they have always explained everything clearly on what's covered. I am also glad that they've worked with my insurance when I've had issues. I have not always felt good about my dental heath but coming here and staying regular with my checkups and cleanings I feel that I am investing in my smile. It feels good and I get such great value from coming here. Overall, the staff here is exceptional and I am happy to be a patient. For anyone looking for good quality dental care give them a try. TLDR: Practice advises unnecessary procedures, including but not limited to fillings for cavities that Do Not exist. Consider a second opinion. They offer a $25 credit toward the bill for leaving a review, which lean positive here as a result. Interesting pattern in the negative reviews for this office. ----------------------- The office and its staff were pleasant, but the diagnoses were inaccurate and appeared predatory. I was cash pay, not using insurance. After leaving this office, I sought a second opinion. The second dentist could not identify Northern Edge's findings or support its treatment plan. Nonexistent cavity - Doctor could not show me the "hole" on the imaging but attempted to show me utilizing a mirror and tool. I could not see it and expressed no sensitivity. It was about $400 for a filling. There was zero trace of a cavity nor the start of one during the second opinion. "Fractures" - Doctor stated I have fractures, not craze lines. None of my teeth are cracked and show zero evidence of "fracture". It's like calling a scratch in paint a hole in the wall. Doctor and team emphasized teeth grinding and purchasing a mouth guard from a dentist office. Second opinion stated zero evidence of "fractures", signs of grinding, or need for intervention. Misleading screen display to emphasize discoloration - There are screens in the rooms used to review x-rays and photos for the evaluation. The tone is set to make your teeth look far, far more discolored. On the screen mine looked almost entirely gingerbread brown vs off-white in reality and during the second opinion imaging. Deep Clean - I have a history of deep cleans and planned for perio maintenance. My last scaling/root planing was less than a year ago. I have never been severe enough to require shots to numb and have only had a topical. Doctor wanted it all. The gum depths she cited were much higher than the second opinion and my history. Second opinion stated there was zero evidence or need for this procedure. Bedside manner - Extremely minor complaint but just added fuel to the fire. I asked if periodontal disease is hereditary. Obviously, lifestyle factors in. My concern was for what I can expect in the future and take extra care. Doctor's response was "don't blame your dad", which didn't answer the question and was needlessly patronizing. read more

I'd like to take the time to really shout out the entire team at Northern Edge Dentistry. The professionalism that they have is top tier. I came here after going to so many other corporate offices. The experience that I got here is complete night and day as compared to my last office. I have now been a patient here for a year and I am never disappointed. To start, they always make clear exactly what the diagnosis is and show why. Rather than just saying it with no explanation (which has happened to me before at previous offices), they take the time to explain and make sure that you understand what is going on. Then when it comes to finances, I found it to be clear and transparent. Any questions I had were answered including any insurance questions. I've come here regularly for cleanings and have also had other treatment done. My cleanings are always very gentle. When I got treatment done, it has always been a very easy process. The doctor and team are highly skilled. The work that I have had done has exceeded my expectations (I had work done on front teeth). Beware!!!! They can't afford toothbrushes or toothpaste for take home dental bags anymore. Red flag. They diagnose most patients with periodontal gum disease. Yet, when you seek a second opinion, the dentists laugh, at said "diagnoses". When you refuse the $1,300 service, they do all sorts of manipulation tactics, make you sign something (to scare you), theatrically stop your cleaning to dramatically give you "the bad news". Then, if you refuse, you won't even be offered goggles for your eyes, or asked if you want fluoride. And told that your next cleaning will be a "check up" not a cleaning. For reference, I'm 36, had one cavity, my entire life. Stop scamming people. They also get oddly aggressive with your cleaning, once they are turned down. My tongue was stabbed three times. Does my tongue also have plaque that needs to be extracted? Be careful with your tools. It will help with the theatrics. read more

BEWARE- although the office is nice, beautiful and clean, I was told my only option for my tooth was to get it extracted get a bone graft and it be replaced. I was also told that my insurance wouldn't cover any of it not to mention they told me deep cleaning wasn't approved by insurance when I had called my insurance company they said 60% of the extraction would've been covered and 100% of the deep cleaning also would've been covered, they try to scam you because they want you to pay out-of-pocket. I got a second opinion about the tooth and my new dentist laughed and said their x-rays were at best OK and there was plenty of tooth left to save! Oh yeah, and was told I had periodontal disease. Again, my new dentist laughed and said yeah definitely not the case please please please get a second opinion!! Saved me thousands of dollars and also saved my tooth to get a second opinion. I am a new patient to this clinic! And so far I've been having great experiences! From the staff who tooks my X-rays/pics (i'm sorry i forgot your name), Dr David, her assistant Summer, and Nani, and Crystal all were friendly and helpful. I had to do a deep cleaning and fillings and was made aware of the steps and what was to be expected. Dr David made sure to check if i was doing ok every couple of minutes and gave an appropriate amount of anesthetic. I Just tried to focus on the tv above my head and not the sounds of dentistry. I was looking for the best rated dental office in Las Vegas. I am happy to spend on my dental health, so money was no concern. I selected Northern Edge Dentistry because they have the best reviews, almost 1000 Google reviews and the highest rating. However, I was shocked when I was told I would be paid $25 if I leave a review during my first visit. This was after taking my x-rays and before even meeting the doctor. I quickly understood why this office has so many positive reviews. I met with Dr. Pham wo created a treatment plan. She said, that there is a cavity forming under my filling and that I need urgently a crown, or this would progress to a root canal. While she was explaining a lot on photos/x-rays about gum disease and the need for a $1.3K deep cleaning, she didn't show me an x-ray or photo that proves the cavity. I was requested to pay a $50 deposit to confirm my appointment for treatment. Given that I couldn't trust the reviews anymore as many of them are paid, and the suspicious behavior regarding the crown, I decided to visit the largest dental office in Las Vegas for a second opinion (Wagner). I got an appointment with the most experienced dentist there, who is one of the leading dental experts in the US and Nevada. He told me that I don't need a crown and that there are only stains and no cavity. He also told me, that if a cavity would be forming, we would have at least a year to find out. So, there is no rush what so ever to grind away my healthy tooth and put a crown on it. There have been a couple of reviews that say that this dentist office scams their clients by proposing procedures that aren't needed, but I personally think that the dentist is just very young and inexperienced and this results in wrong diagnosis. Of course, I cancelled my procedure and ask for a deposit refund (which I didn't yet get). So, my advice is to always ask for a second opinion if Dr. Pham proposes an aggressive and expensive treatment plan. It might not be needed. The office looks luxury and modern but in dentistry, experience is very important. read more

Be very careful of this dentist. They informed me that I had to pay full price for my services. When I asked what my insurance company was paying, I was told it was not covered. The insurance company wrote informing me that they tried several times asking the dentist if what I received was medically necessary. They never responded! Also, I paid for services in full. Just recently, the insurance company paid this dentist a minimal amount. Even though my balance was paid in full, this money should have come to me but never did. I will be contacting my insurance company regarding this fraud! read more

Not many folks like to visit the Dentist, however when I found that Dr Pham was opening a practice close to the house, I was pretty happy. I walked in as a emergency a few years ago at another practice that Dr. Pham was working at and was really impressed on how Dr. Pham did what she could to make me comfortable and was able to complete work needed to fix the issue. The office is comfortable with patient rooms set up with multiple TV's to assist in taking your mind off of the work being done. The office is set up with a modern waiting room for both adults and children to include video games. ( I may have tested the games to make sure they were up to par ). There are refreshment while you wait with nice seating. If your looking for a great Dentist in the Vegas Valley, the team at Northern Edge Dentistry I believe will be a great choice. read more

Please check the reviews before going to this doctor. Dr. Pham is very unprofessional in what she's doing. My tooth were in good condition and she still decided to do unnecessary treatments like laser and so on, just to charge me more than expected. This is not okay! Additionally she could not explain why these treatments should be done. A no go! Please stay away from her. read more

I had two tooth extractions from this place. They showed me my treatment plan on paper. However they never explain to me exactly what my insurance will cover before and after claims are paid out. I received through mail what my insurance paid there contract rate and what is paid after the percentage. Seems I over paid $3400 upfront cash not even them adding what will my insurance cover or not. I truly thought the breakdown is after my insurance covers not the whole cost. I called the office and some front desk girl named yaz told me they didn't bill my insurance for the tooth graft. Since my insurance don't cover it they didn't want to bother submitting a claim. Mind you the insurance rep I was speaking to told me to still have them send them the claim they don't have the right to whether or not the claim will be denied that that will be up to my insurance. I did let Yaz know to have the claim submitted, I told her what is the difference or what is the breakdown I should say for a tooth extraction and the bone graph. She said she couldn't tell me that and she will have billing reach out to me within 1 to 2 weeks this is ridiculous. Now I have to see exactly what they overcharged me. For the first time I thought this office was sincere and honest as soon as I walked in the girls everyone in there makes you feel welcome. They do make you do a review so you could get $20 off on the first visit, this is why they have such great ratings because there's a catch. I am really hoping Bill does not take more than two weeks to get the situated. There's no way for a bone graft I paid $3400 read more

I changed my dental insurance type this year to get away from places like Absolute Dental (worst experiences in my opinion) and had my first appointment with new patient consultation where they not only took x-rays but real photos of my teeth, developed a treatment plan for me, and explained in depth most important starting point and where we will go from there, today is my follow up for the start of treatment and so far I love it, they make me feel comfortable and help me understand what it is I need/why I need it. Susan especially has been helpful in breaking down the cost with my new insurance/ scheduling my appointments around upcoming vacation to ensure I'm on track. A nice calm place which calms my anxiety since I don't think many people really *enjoy* dentist appointments. read more

Love this place ! From the lobby when you walk in . The whole ambiance is so beautiful and cozy . The front ladies are so professional and sweet ! This is my first visit. I met with Sara who is extremely nice and efficient. She explained as we did our x rays. Things went downhill after that. I was offered $25.00 off my charges for a good review. I was also told I need 3 crowns, I honestly doubted very much if I needed a crown and certainly not 3. I go to a dentist for cleaning every 3-4 months. I went to another dentist for a second opinion and I was right. I do not need any crowns and no cavities. I finally found my dentist! Everyone in the office are the nicest people you'll ever meet. Everyone is friendly and very approachable and I must say it reflects to Dr. Pham. The way that Dr. Pham approaches her patients is something that's a deal breaker for me. I've had bad experiences with other dentists in the past. I've developed this fear that made me avoid seeing a dentist for a long time. But when I met Dr. Pham, it's the first thing that she made sure of.
