The interior was authentic and rustic and even smelled like real food being cooked on a griddle smell. Our waitress came right over and welcomed us to sit wherever we want to. I ordered the Club Sandwich which was their daily special and I went with their potatoe salad which is something I don't like to order because it's one of those items that I'm never really sure if its going to be homemade or store bought. My husband went with the cheeseburger and fries. It didn't take long for our meal to arrive. I loved how the plates didn't match, just like at home lol, and the potato salad was homemade and it was good. My Club Sandwich was good and the vegetables were California fresh. My husband said his cheeseburger was cooked right and tasted like it was cooked on a seasoned grill. I definitely know if when we are back in the area, we definitely will be coming back to this little spot.

This place really missed the mark there. I have to say the worst part about this experience was their inability to honor their own gift certificate. I had purchased 2 $15 g/c on pricetrader and when I went to use them the waitress appeared dumbfounded. There was no expiration date or limited term use. I even checked to make sure that the balance would carry. In the end and with a bill less than $15, I had to explain to both her, and a man I'll assume was Pappy, what "Balance Will Carry" means. I felt silly arguing over a few dollars, but I felt that it was a misrepresentation to their patrons and disservice to those that use Pricetrader and other similar websites. In the end they issued the balance on a new g/c. But, I do not think I will be back. If I really crave their Krazy Krunchy Freedom toast I'll go to the real Pappy's on Rosedale Hwy or maybe head to the Red Wagon for gigantic pancakes and awesome service.

Even though it was toward the end of the day, all the donuts were soft, fresh, and tasted really good! I also like that they offer more than just donuts -- they have blended coffees, smoothies, slushies (or icees), and hot sandwiches too. There's definitely more we want to come back and try. One last thing -- they have an A grade, which always gives me peace of mind when trying a new place. Overall, it was a quick and pleasant visit, and we're looking forward to stopping by again soon!
