The Mrs decided she wanted donuts at 8 PM so most of the places close to me are already closed so found that they were open so went and even at 8 PM they had a great assortment of donuts. Last Saturday, I needed to get my Saturday donut in Bakersfield, and wow, I wish this donut place existed where I live in Reno, Nevada. I got two donuts, and they were the first and second best donuts I have ever eaten. Seriously. They were so soft and fresh and filled with flavor. I got two yeast donuts: a powdered lemon-filled and a strawberry frosted. The frosting was perfection, and there was so much delicious lemon filling. The store location is small, and it doesn't look like there is room to eat inside, COVID-19 restrictions notwithstanding. TERRIBLE! The fee/charge for using card to pay is way too high. I only bought one small simple doughnut that was about $1.50 and the charge for using my card was 85 cents. Also, I didn't appreciate him not letting me know in advance that there was a fee and when I was about to check for spare money, he abruptly took my card and scanned it right away and said "it already went through." read more

I found out about the cheese and ham croissant after my manager bought us some and I had to buy one for myself. This is one of the biggest/ fluffiest croissant I've seen it was bigger than my hand! Lol the bread was buttery and soft, the inside was plain ham with melted cheese and it was just perfect. I ordered the caramel iced coffee too and it was great as it was not too sweet. Since they are known for being 24 hours..unfortunately, I got there and the door was locked but, decided to knock because the "OPEN" sign is blankly blinking. Wheres the 24 hour integrity? I don't know what has happened to customer service these days! I order 4 donuts and specifically say I want the fresh cake crumb one, not the old one sitting off to the side of the tray. We'll he swiftly grabs it with the tongs and throws in the bag. I asked to see it because I knew it was wrong and he argued said it's in the bottom of the bag. Hmm magic? And assured me it was a fresh crumb even though none were missing from the row. To avoid arguments I paid I opened the bag and voila the rock hard no crumb having a$$ donut. So I ask again for the new cake crumb donut and hand it over to him. He takes the bag and says he can't do that because I already opened the bag! And completely refuses any logical conversation and keeps the donut. Then comes out taking my pic as I try to take store front pic. All this for $1.29 donut. read more

Fosters Donut white lane Wednesday September 28th 2022 I wouldn't leave any stars , but I have to to leave a review. We just went there at 1230am after work. Drove up and the sign said open. So we walk up to the door but its locked . We can see the guy sitting in the back playing on his phone. So we knock on the door. He looks up at use , but just keeps playing on his phone. So we knock again & he looks right at us and we wave at him.. but he acts like we aren't even there. So my bf calls them and he answers and says he will open in 30 minutes. I guess he was on his 30 minute break or something & didn't want to.unlock the door. I don't know why he couldn't just unlock the door sell us donuts and then go back on his break. Not like he is going to be super busy at 1230am. Guess we will be looking for a different donut place to go to from now on. read more

I've been here before but it seems to be under new ownership since last I was here. Or at least different staff. I doordash here pretty frequently so I interact with them pretty regularly. Whoever was at the counter tonight was kind of rude. Walked in with no acknowledgment after I had said hi. Looked up at the menu for a second while the guy was counting money. Finally, I figured he might be waiting for me so I just get right up to the register and start to ask for a half dozen. Before I can say what I want he interrupts and all he says is "In a minute" Okay, waiting as he counts more money. Still waiting. Finally, the guy who was obviously busy working in the back came up and started with my order. The first guy shouldn't be up there at all if he's not even going to do basic customer service and greet them. Some of the donuts were fresh, but a couple were not. Overall it was eh. So if there's nowhere else to go at 10 pm then this is an option. The people in the back are usually great though. It was just the one guy. read more

I have mixed feelings about this Foster's Donuts, but when they get it right they are definitely good. They have a wide variety of typical donuts found at all donut shops and the donuts are always fresh. Some late nights we have come in and the bakers are always prepping every night so I know the donuts here are fresh. The location is in a pretty busy shopping center and it gets pretty jam packed w cars at times because of the way the parking area is. At times it gets quite congested and every morning you always see a line. What I don't like about this donut shop is that the inside seating area isn't the cleanest. I don't dine in, but I wish it was a little cleaner inside the seating area. The reason why I have mixed feelings about this place is definitely the seating area and also because not once, but twice I bought a cream filled donut that did not contain cream inside. I'm not the biggest donut fan, but I do have a sweet tooth, so I was a bit disappointed. Coffee is okay and they have a good variety of coffee flavors and they also make frappes. Best donuts in town! Large variety and always fresh. Worth the drive over no matter where you live in Bakersfield!

Not all donuts are created equal. Some are pretty traditional across the board like a glazed donut; doesn't really matter where you get it they are all pretty similar. But maple bars are different! I personally rate donut establishments based off of their maple bars exclusively. Fosters maple bars have changed since I was a kid 15 years ago. I'd say they aren't as good as they were; mainly the maple frosting has taken a turn for the worse. The frosting is very hard and has an unfortunate color and matte finish that doesn't seem like a frosting should set up. Take for example their chocolate bar, the frosting sets up as it should, it has a glossy sheen to it and has a nice finish but still remains soft like a great maple frosting should. Unfortunately Fosters maple bars are sub par. Even their length and shape has diminished in size from just five years ago. Am I crazy, possibly, or I just love a good maple bar either way you've read this far. Ultimately I don't order maple bars from fosters or go much for that matter because they aren't good. read more

Haha They have a 3 person limit inside and that is comforting especially since it's a small space. The workers do wear their masks. The guy behind the counter is super rude he has no customer service etiquette. He right away assumes you speak Spanish and even if you speak to him in English he replies back in Spanish. My wife and I went to get donuts and we were looking for choices and he got mad and walked away and left us there standing until another guy came out to finish the order. This is not the first time he asks like an idiot. We only come to this place because it's the only donut shop open late but this was the last time we come here. He tells you not to touch the donut and yet he has his fat fingers all over your donuts he is not even using the paper he supposed to be using. Good donuts bad customer service. read more
