One of the few places in the area that stays open past 9pm. After work I order online and the food is always ready by the time I get there. The staff is always nice, the last time I went the lady working the counter went out of her way to let me know she put an extra line of sauce by accident and if that was okay (which was more than okay with me) and it was a nice gesture making sure I was aware of that instead of just handing over the order. I used Shah's Halal to cater my baby's birthday party last weekend. I'm so happy I went with them! We had a large party and needed quality food in large portions and they delivered. Multiple party-goers asked me where I got the catering from because they loved the food, especially the lamb. In addition, they were super flexible as I dealt with some unpredictable weather that made me change the day last minute. They made sure everything was taken care of. Came across this spot while looking for a quick dinner on the way home during a long drive. The folks at the counter were super nice and friendly and explained the menu/gave us recommendations. This place just opened a month ago but it looks like they have their operations down pat already. We got the food to go, but the inside looked very clean and the booths looked like a good place to sit and enjoy the food if we had more time to stick around. The interior is very spacious overall as well. The food is good :) if you've ever had halal food/gyro platters from the carts in NYC, this is reminiscent of those platters. They add some new optional extras like hummus and black beans which I liked. You can also build your plate as you go "chipotle" style. I like the combo platters here more than the platters I've had at the chicken & rice places I've gone to near Boston. I think what differentiates it is the rice?? The brown basmati rice here is really good. The price is also better than the prices I've paid. I was expecting $15 per platter, but I think their combo platters were around $11 each which was surprising. We got two combo platters with extra protein (+$2 extra), a side of waffle fries, and a drink for $33 total. Very fair price. You get good portions as well. We had enough for leftover lunch the next day. They also sell their white and red sauces bottled to eat at home. I might try that out next time I'm around. It's too bad I don't live nearby to frequent this place more often, but I will be coming back when I'm in the area. Opting for something different, I ordered the lamb platter my usual choice is beef (shaved in shawarma or gyro style) at other places but they don't have that as an option here . The lamb was presented in chopped chunks, and it was absolutely delicious, especially when paired with brown basmati rice and topped with lettuce, onions, peppers, and white sauce. Although I was tempted to try the hot sauce, I refrained due to its potential spiciness at halal eateries, not wanting to risk discomfort during my long drive. This establishment seemed newly opened, boasting a very clean and casual ambiance. The service was quick and attentive, making the dining experience even more enjoyable. I should have gone across the parking lot to Chik-Fil-A, but I wanted to try Shah's. I wish I went to Chick-Fil-A. I got a chicken gyro. The chicken is deep fried. What ?? Ended up at this location again, apprehensive about a repeat of the same slow service. We were the only ones in line being assisted by very friendly staff. Accommodating in that they gave us their opinion on what was popular. Food was delicious and plentiful, restroom was beyond what I expected. It was very well maintained and sanitary. I'm not familiar with eating gyros so I am excited that such an food establishment has opened here in Walpole. Staff were all very helpful explaining the menu. Chose to try their Koftka Gyro with their signature white sauce and 2 lines of hot sauce and all the fixings- chickpeas, lettuce, diced cucumbers, tomatoes and onions. The fusion of everything works so well together- texture of the wrap, the savory Koftka meat and the crunch the cucumbers. This is definitely a spot I will be frequenting. read more

I've eaten there three times and always had the chicken over rice . It's a good amount of food for the price and tasted good. The last two times I was in there though, I left without food. They seem severely understaffed and the one guy working the front counter had his hands full. I hope they are able to overcome their staffing issues . read more

Tried out this place for first time, apparently it's a chain...$10 for a filling gyro with long hours sounds good especially when I get out of work late. The lamb was very tender. If I could give zero stars I would. This man just told us we're wasting his time after I saw that the lamb and chicken had onions in it. I don't eat onions. My sister and I were trying to figure out if I could just pick them out and order it anyway and he told us we're wasting his time. The place is EMPTY. It is just our family here. He was angry that we were having difficulty picking an option out for the kids. Mind you, when we walked in, I informed him we were not ready to order and that I had never been here before so I'd like time to go over the menu. AMAZING! Lovely people work here. It's a combination of different middle eastern foods and everything is delicious. The portions are large, the price is so great for what you get, and it's extremely fresh. The food is well seasoned. You can tell the folks who work here are very dedicated to serving good food and they are incredibly kind and patient to explain their cuisine to curious folks who are looking to try new things. Staff here is super friendly and helpful unlike most quick order places these days. The restaurant is very clean and you can tell they keep things clean and organized. My workplace decided to host an intercultural dinner and Shah's Halal Walpole was an excellent choice as our meal provider. Ram was very communicative and made the catering process very simple. I stopped by to visit the Papa Gino's that used to be there! I was shocked to see an Islamic Halal food place instead! My old haunts are gone and a new world has taken shape, since I retired and moved away from the area... The place seemed very clean and brightly lit. Everything seemed new and modern. i am not really into Middle Eastern/Islamic food, so I passed on eating there. The other reviews seemed very positive but they are understaffed. I hope the do well in the community that the serve, will enjoy their cultural and cuisine experience in their own backyard. I affectionally refer to it as the "Allah Snack Bar"! (JUST KIDDING!) Super friendly staff ready to explain everything. We got a falafel platter and chicken platter. Starts with brown rice and chicken/falafel then you can pick additions, similar to Chipotle. Really good and fresh, plenty of food! It's one of the nice healthier choices in the area. read more
