Very nice addition to Dedham area . Great new Greek Mediterranean food. Beautiful welcoming interior, decor, outdoor seating. The owner George and his wife couldn't be nicer and their dedication to building a successful id clearly apparent. I stopped for lunch and ordered the grilled chicken club sandwich and the Bacon wrapped stuffed shrimp appetizer. I would have liked bigger shrimp , but the bacon, stuffing, on a lemon, Tzatziki is a creamy, tangy Greek dip or sauce made from strained yogurt, grated cucumber, garlic, olive oil, and herbs like dill, often with lemon juice or vinegar was great. The Food is excellent, well presented with great seasoning . Nice cool interior, with soothing mellow Greek or Mediterranean music. I'll be back as all fresh ingredients and a kebab salad next visit. Popped into this Greek restaurant for a quick lunch in March and ended up lingering much longer because the grilled chicken gyro was the best I'd had in ages and the vibe was so inviting (clean, calm, airy, light). Went back with my hubby soon after and he was equally pleased. My curious son and his girlfriend found their way in a week later, which served as confirmation that we'd discovered a new favorite place for Greek cuisine! So naturally, when I needed to cater a 10-person family gathering in May, Mezo Mediterranean was top-of-mind. Happy to report everyone was delighted with the generous and delicious array of foods on our dinner table--savory chicken kebabs, beautifully baked spanakopita, colorful grilled veggies and silky, smooth lemon potatoes (note: we'd welcome more lemon and browning). And let's not forget the dips--the dill-infused tzatziki and spicy feta with crispy pita chips and falafel (perfectly firm on the outside and perfectly fluffy on the inside) were definite crowd pleasers too. My daughter (a no meat kind of gal) raved about the Halloumi Grilled Cheese, which was recently added to menu. The owners -- George and Dina-- were so personable, and flexible in helping me choose the right items in the right quantity and then delivering everything to our door right on time. This is such an incredible spot! It's new in Dedham and serving up authentic Greek cuisine!! The owners are a Dedham-local husband/wife couple who have had a dream of opening a Greek restaurant for a while and all the dishes are from their family recipes!! They've truly put so much thought and care into this place and it shows!! They've source all their ingredients directly from Greece including their bottled water, seasonings (yes, even the salt!), olive oil, wines & more! Everything we tried was exceptional! The tzatziki is house made and probably the best I've had! The lamb was my absolute favorite dish and was seasoned to perfection! We also loved the chicken skewers, meatballs, Greek salad (seriously so fresh), lamb & beef gyro, & pastizio (and def get roasted potatoes as a side)! Dessert is a must here! We got the loukomades (Greek donuts with Nutella) and the portokalipita (Greek orange cake) that were both so good! We stopped in for dinner on Monday and it was extremely busy! Would categorize it as upscale fast casual. Food flavors were outstanding and would highly recommend the chicken gyro meat. This is a welcome addition to the Dedham restaurant scene. This new Mediterranean is a hybrid dine in/take out, in which there is seating for 28, but no table service. However, one can reserve a table in advance, or come without a reservation, order at the front, and the staff will bring your food to your table. If you want a cup of water with your meal (and don't want to buy bottled water or other drinks), you need to ask for and the staff is happy to oblige. What I liked: Modern buildout, clean, and attractive environment. Music was a little loud but that's a personal preference issue. The pita was nice and thick and warmed. My vegan partner enjoyed her veggie wrap. The Gyro plate was also warmly received by a fellow foodie. Portion sizes were generous. What I didn't like: Mezo over-grills its Lamb/Beef Gyro to the point of "crunchy", and also fills the Gyro with french fries. I'd prefer they lower the price form $16 to $13, jettison the fries (or offer it as an option), and don't grill the meat - it should already be fully cooked and seasoned on its "spit" (vertical rotisserie). When asked, the owner explained "that's the way they do it where I come from" (the Patras region of NW Greece), and he added that this method helped avoid Salmonella (this might make sense for the chicken). Seems like a growing trend among fast-casual joints - is to overcook the meat (Shake Shack, 5-Guys, Smash Burger, etc). I for one, don't prefer my rotisserie lamb "crunchy." It also seems the menu has a big hole in it: no grilled octopus. A number of popular items are precooked and served from chafing dishes (ie, Moussaka, etc.) There appeared to be only 1 cook and on a busy Saturday evening, our order took about 25 minutes to complete. I couldn't find a company website although they have a presence on Instagram and other social media sites. The prices on Grubhub seem to be different (& higher) compared to the in-store menu, which I found to be high to start with. In sum, very nice environment for a fast casual, decent if not spectacular food, good portion sizes, expensive, friendly service, and over-grilled Gyro meat with French fries hidden inside the Gyro pita sandwich. read more

Excellent new Greek restaurant in Dedham, and probably the best around. We ordered the Mousaka, beef and lamb gyro, chicken gyro, Greek salad, and chicken souvlaki plate. Everything was delicious and portions were large. You can tell a good place by the quality of the olive oil. Employees were very nice as well. We will definitely be back!! read more

Stopped by for lunch today and tried this new spot in Dedham. It's an upscale, casual restaurant where you order at corner but they bring the food out to you. They have beer and wine as well for date nights. They cook the meats fresh and the sides are warm and ready. The food was very good and flavorful and portion sizes were good. The lamb and beef plate was delicious. It is a little on the pricier side since both these meals came to $50 with a small tip. The place is designed well inside. read more

Stopped in Tuesday for a late lunch with friends. The service was great Melissa was very helpful with selections and very friendly. You order at the counter and they bring it to your table. I had the chicken Gyro first time trying. It was delicious. The pita bread was very fresh. We shared mini cheese pie and mini feta pies & lemon potatoes. All were so yummy! Took home some desserts that delicious (that I don't remember the names)!! Can't wait to go back and try something else. read more

So happy to have a new Greek spot in Dedham!! We drove by last week and decided to stop in this evening to have dinner. You order at the counter and food is brought out to you or you can order food to go. We were greeted warmly and instructed on ordering and found a table. Started with the dolmades and zucchini fritters (both very good). My husband and I both ordered a gyro plate and it was EXCELLENT! Generous portions (I had enough for another meal to take home) and included a nice helping of beef/lamb gyro, fries, delicious toasted pita, tomato, onion, rice pilaf (our chosen side) and tzatziki on the side. We bought kourabiedes, melomakarona (so delicious!!) and galaktoboureko to enjoy at home with the last of our Greek coffee we brought home from our trip to Athens. Delicious food, owners and waitstaff care so much about you enjoying your time there. Chicken souvlaki was delicious, ordered with the rice pilaf which was also great. Husband had the beef and lamb gyro and he also said it was amazing. He thought the quality of the meat was excellent. He did choose to add some of my tsaziki sauce to his gyro and said next time he would ask for extra on his gyro. He liked that the fries are inside the gyro which is authentic to a certain region of Greece. Just a heads up in case anyone would prefer them on the side. We also got some individual spinach and cheese pies to take home - also delicious and well prepared. I have only had the gyro here, so my review is based on that. The gyro had good flavor, the pita is excellent, but the meat is extremely dry. Service was friendly. In terms of ambiance, it looks more like a take out, than dine in place. read more

VERY expensive for what you get. No pita bread or crackers with soups, no pita bread with salads, which is ridiculous with the prices they charge. Food is very fresh. I had the falafel wrap for $15.50, no sauce on side for dipping, only on sandwich. I also found the falafel to be extremely spicy. Not sure I would return. read more

I love gyros so when my daughter said she saw a new place she wanted to try I was happy to go. We were not disappointed ! Even my 4 year old grandson left happy. The gyros were delicious and I got a side of beets that were extraordinarly good. But what made the experience so wonderful was the excellent customer service and the cozy seating inside. So good!!! We are tasting our way through the menu. I love spanakopita and Mezo's is the best I've ever had. The meats are beautifully seasoned. I've now had almost every item and every one has been great! There's a huge selection of Greek desserts. So far, all delicious! The owners are super nice. It's small and easy and oh so good. Had takeout, was great. Dined in the other day, was a very pleasant space (LOVE the music, but maybe a smidge too loud!). The food overall is very delicious- loved the pita, lemon potatoes, grilled veggies, zucchini fritters, green bean tomato sauté, falafel, chicken souvlaki, lamb chops, Greek salad (feta was bomb), great dips- tzatziki, spicy feta, hummus really good. Baklava cheesecake and one other dessert was fresh, homemade and really yummy. Only a couple of things... the grilled chicken was really tasty, but maybe a bit dry/overcooked- I would still order it again because it was very tasty, especially alongside the sautéed peppers/onions/zucchini and potatoes or rice, but maybe it was just that day. And the tahini was a bit too strong or something, needed more lemon I think. But portions were very big, service was very friendly and helpful. A great addition to the Square! read more
