This place is a scam. If you get their Groupon for Botox, it says that you can use it on one area. According to every other botox business on Groupon, your forehead is one area. According to this business, your forehead is made up of 3 different areas and they will only use botox on one of the 3 areas. So unless you have some weird condition that gives you wrinkles on only 1/3 of your forehead, the Groupon is useless. It's not a matter of how many total units you need (I needed less than 20 units across my forehead), they won't inject more than 1/3rd of your forehead if you use the Groupon. It's just their way of upselling you because of course they offer to do the full forehead at an additional cost. Like the other reviews say, the staff is "friendly" but having someone smile while they're trying to scam you actually makes the scam worse. It's just manipulation. Stay away. read more

When I was 25, I scheduled a consultation to have Botox for the first time to lift my eyebrows. Dr. Javaheri never mentioned to me during the consultation about the potential side effects of botox and how it could cause me to develop wrinkles at a young age. Before the Botox, I had absolutely no wrinkles on my face. I was only 25 and East Asian so it was quite normal for me to not have any wrinkles. I only wanted the Botox to strengthen my eyebrow muscles so that I could have an easier time lifting my brows. However, after the procedure, I developed DEEP CREASES on my forehead that I never had before and the skin on my forehead became much more LOOSE... I highly do not recommend this surgeon. A good surgeon would be forthcoming from the very beginning about whether a patient is a good candidate for the procedure or not. read more

I have never written a review before of a Dr. that deserved more praise and respect that my words can't even express. When I turned 50, and being a life long entertainer I decided to do a Face and Body reboot with Plastic surgery. The following 7 years would turn into a series of bad surgeries and unsuccessful revisions devastating my health, finances and self esteem. I had researched Doctors and travelled out of state specifically to Beverly Hills. I had saved my hard earned money and really believed I was going to "The Best". After all ,thats what all the Plastic surgeons were boasting in their Bio's and advertisements. You see Dr. Javaheri doesn't do that. Other Dr's brag about him and speak the truth. When I arrived at his office he had such a humble, unpretentious disposition and while I unveiled my grotesque , botched scars I did not feel judgement from him. In fact he gave me the hope that I had been searching for ,for 7 years. I knew at that moment I was in the presence of greatness. He then proceeded to perform the finest surgery I have ever witnessed. At last I had finally found an amazing surgeon . He was seriously a gift from the Heavens ! I absolutely love my Ass now! I will be having Dr Javaheri do a breast reduction , implant exchange and lift as well as a back lift in the future. Very few Surgeons are Great at Everything. 1) IPL at this office waste of time and money. 2) Pushy sales people are the worst! I had a Groupon for one IPL then purchased the package of 4 after promises of results. Unfortunately after 5 sessions the Sun spots haven't even faded. THEN they suggest a laser treatment that will work. I don't know if the machine is just weak or if they promise results to keep you coming in and spending more money? Usually sun spots would scab up and look like coffee grinds on your face, and fall off. But I got NOTHING. There is one front desk lady who loves to point out your imperfections and then hard sell you a new procedure to fix it! I was entertained by how confident she was that I wanted to be judged by her and then hand over more money. But that could really hurt someone who really struggles with their appearance. She's good though, even almost convince me to remove a mole on my face that I forgot I had. Luckily the price was ridiculous $450! (They harassed me within 12 hours of writing the review with over 13 phone calls, 3 emails, & 2 texts. I'd posted a screenshot as proof of the harassment, but they requested Yelp remove it.) In addition, they have broken California HIPPA laws by posting the type of medical service I was seeking!! I will contact Yelp AND report this doctor to the state. YOU CANNOT TRUST THIS OFFICE! ORIGINAL: This might be my longest review, so be prepared to read for a bit. You may thank me in the end. So you usually go to a doctor for help. Sometimes you need a special doctor who has a particular skill. When you go to this doctor looking for help, & explain your horrific journey that brought you to him, and he listens, & "seems" to genuinely care, it gives you hope. Because nothing is worse than needing help & having a terrible time getting it. The help that you need is *not* considered "cosmetic" in your particular situation, & you know for a fact that your insurance will, in fact, cover the cost of the procedure. This doctor is in your "plan" & (allegedly) accepts your insurance. All that's needed is a prior authorization. In fact, this doctor personally knows the doctor who previously did this procedure on you, & asked his assistant for help regarding billing & which codes to use. You're told that an "expedited prior authorization" would be submitted & to expect to hear back from his office very soon. You leave this doctor's office with the ability to exhale. You've had a terrible & long journey, but you've finally found someone who cares. Someone who will fix your problem. You're happy. No, you're elated. But when you get a call from this doctor's office not 3 hours later, telling you "your insurance won't pay for the procedure", you're confused. You ask how the insurance company was able to make a decision on a prior authorization so quickly. Within hours. Late in the day, no less. You're told that your insurance company considers the procedure as "cosmetic" & they won't pay for it. When you ask if they actually contacted your insurance company, they then tell the truth & say "that's what our billing department said". You ask if they could proceed with the prior authorization & you're told they'd call you "right back". And so when you get home, you call your insurance company in tears to ask them if, in fact, they consider this procedure as "cosmetic". They confirm that it is NOT considered cosmetic, & the doctor most likely just didn't want to do the procedure for the insurance amount that he'd be paid. But you give this doctor the benefit of the doubt, & wait for a call back. Ten days, to be exact. And you never hear from his office. The hope. The relief. It's all gone. In all the years I have been Yelping, I have *never* felt the need to write a poor review for a doctor. Someone who has taken the Hippocratic Oath in which it states, "I will use treatment to help the sick according to my ability and judgment, but never with a view to injury and wrong-doing." This doctor is different. I grappled with leaving a poor review, but it is the truth, & I believe it should be told. And should you choose to see this doctor, you should take this review into consideration. On the surface he is caring, he is helpful, & he is kind. BUTT IMPLANT BOTCHED, HORRIFYING EXPERIENCE- Two years ago I had a breast augmentation and was very happy with the result. Earlier this year, I decided to also get a butt augmentation , so that I could have a nice round booty to match my breasts. I chose Dr Shahin Javaheri for the procedure, a doctor based in San Francisco. This was probably the worst decision of my entire life. Shahin's surgical procedure has caused enormous pain and damage to my body. Immediately following the surgery in the post-op room, he told my financee the right side of my butt would have issues, be super painful, and that I probably wouldn't be able to put any weight on my right side. He said to come back in immediately if there was excessive bleeding on the right side. He had beads of sweat glimmering on his face and looked very nervous/worried when he said this to my fiancée, who was asking direct questions bc he was wondering why the surgery had taken 2-3 hours longer then scheduled. After the surgery Shahin also suddenly changed the drainage procedure that had been planned without any warning or explanation, from a tube inserted into the wound (which was planned), to a manual wick that my financee had to push 6" into my body on the end of a long toothpick daily for months. As a result of the botched surgery, I was in brutal pain on heavy painkillers with this wick changing procedure for 3-4 months, and it was the right side of my buttocks causing all the issues, just as the doctor had predicted in the post-op room. Three to four months after the surgery the right side still hadn't healed. I couldn't walk, go up the stairs, drive, go to work, or do anything. And many of my pants and dresses have been ruined due to the constant bleeding. It was like having my period all the time. Then after four months of this terrible pain, the implant started to physically protrude out of my body. This was very grotesque, the incision opened up, and an open wound about the size of a silver dollar formed at the base of my spine / top of my buttock. As it got worse, Shahin became more and more frantic and wanted us to come into his office immediately. Without warning, he performed an emergency removal of the implant in his own office after 5pm, which he said the day before was something that if he did after 5pm would void his own insurance. Throughout this process, we found his nurses, director of operations, and desk staff to be unprofessional. One of his nurses -- it was her first day -- almost dropped me; my fiancee had to jump in and physically catch me or i would have hit the floor. When it came time to remove the other implant and discuss a refund, the doctor was unavailable to return phone calls from my financee who tried several times to explain to the doctor that we needed to discuss medical options, financial details, etc. But Shahin was suddenly extremely busy with meetings, appointments, and couldn't even find time to schedule a call, and wanted us to talk with his staff. Then I got an email from his director of operations, Rosh Patel fabricating a story and blaming me for having caused issues, and saying that I didn't qualify for a refund. She reiterated that an additional $9000, was needed to do a new implant, which was the amount of the initial surgery, and another $3000 was needed to take the right side implant out. There wasn't any acknowledgement whatsoever of the 3-4 months of pain that had been caused, and the email was poorly written with incorrect grammar throughout. So, Dr Javaheri is claiming that I am the one at fault, by using old photos I had re-posted on my social media that weren't even recent to try and fabricate excuses about my lifestyle in order to not take responsibility for his own failed surgical result. Basically, this dude is blackmailing me to cover his own tracks. Scary, right? Well, it gets even better... his desk clerk was effectively his spy. She came to our home multiple times and friended me and my fiancee on social media during this period of 3-4 months of pain in order to gain access to our private lives. It was the photos she took off my private social media and gave to Shahin that were used to then fabricate a story about my lifestyle, in order to avoid responsibility for his failed surgical procedure. Crazily, this assistant also took my narcotics that Shahin had prescribed when she was in our home. Today, I am left with one implant in my buttocks and he is stubbornly demanding $3000 to take it out, and blaming me for the problems. What a disgusting human being! What a scammer! Shahin may seem nice on the outside, but underneath all of the surface polish, you'll find a stubborn, lying, deceitful man who is causing harm to people's bodies and will use any scam or trick to cover up his surgical errors. Based on this horrifying experience I am filing a claim with the medical malpractice board and I hope that they will revoke his license read more

This is strictly for my experience with an IPL facial. I loved how efficient the scheduling process was and how friendly the staff was but the procedure I had done did absolutely nothing for me. I've had this done a few times before so know what to expect right after and in the days to come but when I got home and looked at myself in the mirror I didn't see any redness nor did I feel any discomfort. I decided to give it overnight before rushing to a conclusion but the next day there still was no change or sign of my skin undergoing the procedure--it looked as if I never even had an IPL session! I hate to give this bad review but find it necessary to share my poor experience. I really don't know what went wrong--was power to low? Was procedure too quick? Was it that I used a Groupon and so got the poor-man's version? I have to think yes on all. This was a complete waste of money and time and I feel cheated. I am extremely disgusted and disappointed with the outcome--the before and after are exactly the same, no improvement whatsoever. read more

I have tried Kybella, Agnes RF and coolsculping to get rid of my double chin and all of them failed. Audi, the receptionist and Rose took time in explaining chin lipo would be my best bet. Rose, who gave me botox injections and IPL treatment, was super informative and communicative about each step of the process. Dr. Javaheri is an absolute germ in his profession!!! Dr.Javaheri is AWESOME! He is kind, patient and extremely good at what he does. I've had the IPL facial and Botox from him. During my IPL facial he was very meticulous and adjusted the settings for certain areas because there were darker spots than others. Other places I've been to did not do this. They typically put it to one setting and go through your entire face on that one setting. You still can see results that way but Dr. Javaheri takes his time and individualizes his treatmes. As for my botox, he knows exactly where to do the injections on your face. For example, I tend to have droopy eyebrows( which I will have Dr. Javaheri take care of soon) and if not injected properly it will make my droopy eyebrows more pronounced. I've had colleagues who have gone to places that have experienced the droopy brow issue because the botox was injected too low. I live in the Sacramento area and have tried other places for Botox and IPL just because getting to San Francisco is not always easy with a busy schedule. I first went to him because a friend of mine lives in San Francisco and recommended him. After what I've experienced around here and witnessing my colleagues undergoing subpar treatments made me realize even more that Dr. Javaheri is worth the drive! read more

After reading the reviews i feel i need to share my story. Had tummy tuck 2018. Promised to sculpt my back with lipo. I think he sold me on sculpt and how shapely i would look. He performed the tummy tuck but my scar was horrific and high!! I was better off not getting any surgery done.. i had to wear a high rise bikini and had this lump like appearance caused by the accumulation of scar tissue.. I was left with a shelf like appearance. The lipo was almost nothing... i went back... instead of fixing i was accused by him politely and Rosh his office manager/ patient coordinator/ wife of gaining weight. Actually i lost weight... they quoted me 8k to fix a mistake and said he could do nothing about the scar. His practice due to his shady wife is awful... she is greedy and steps in inappropriately. Good news is I went with another plastic surgeon who took one look at the scar and brought it down, lipo'd me the way i should have been the fist time with Javahari. Highly recommend Dr. Javaheri's office for Laser Hair Removal treatment. A brief summary of my experience: I had struggled with really bad ingrown hair on my thighs, under arms and even my face. With just one treatment at their office I saw results right away, NO JOKE. It just took one treatment to thin my hair and stop my ingrown hairs from scaring and building up. I started my treatment in small areas to test the results and I was honestly shocked by how much it changed my skin and hair growth. If you've struggled with ingrown hairs you know how bad it can impact your skin and appearance. I am SO happy I made the decision to go through with laser treatment here. I have been going to Dr. Javaheri for several years now and I wouldn't trust my skin care to anyone else (Botox, fillers, plastic surgery needs). Dr. Javaheri and his nurses are so professional and skilled at what they do. I have done several types of laser including skin tightening, IPL, hair removal and fat burning (I can't remember what that was called). Dr. Javaheri also helped us when our daughter was cut on her face from the playground and when a family member had a malignant tumor. His outcome is very natural. I have seen some of the much harder things he's done like creating ears from ribs and constructing a jaw bone for someone with a birth defect. I feel so fortunate to have a doctor with this level of talent doing my injectables. One day when I'm older I'll have him do my face lift! I bought a Groupon for Dr Javaheri's office for laser tattoo removal and based on the amount paid, I was a bit skeptical. On my first visit, I waited an hour for my session because the nurse couldn't get the machine working, no biggie, it's technology. But I was taking time off of work and they didn't even apologize. I have had treatments before and I told them yet they used the lowest setting they could. Session 2. New nurse. She looks at my chart and asks why my settings were so low. I had the same question. She proceeds with a an incrementally higher setting that was still too low. No frosting on the tattoo. Session 3. Return of nurse 1 who then decides to really crank it up so I can get a good level of frosting (very important in tattoo removal) and I was finally pleased with the session. But guess what, my groupon is up. This nurse recommended that I come back for another bundle. I'm sure she does. On top of it, they asked me to rate them yesterday in the office and I generously put 4 stars because I'm sure they treat clients who pay full price better and when I got home my rating had been changed to 5 stars and I received a confirmation email. Overall, very disappointing. However, I'm sure full paying clients receive better service based on other reviews. My suggestion is, don't do groupon's anymore if you are going to treat patients like that, I'm certainly not giving them any money after how poor my experience was, I would rather go see another Dr. read more

Now on the one hand, I didn't die...anyway. I mean, I'm SAFE. But I haven't been into a hospital since I had a high fever at age 2. So I had no idea I should actually shop around and check into my choice of surgeons. Anyway, my gf is a nurse with about 17 years experience, who had never heard of him. And though he was a nice guy, THAT'S NOT WHAT YOU LOOK FOR IN SOMEONE WHO IS GOING TO CUT YOU OPEN. I'm left with serious "chop-shop" scars , but I can have a scar reduction surgery with a reputable cosmetic surgeon. What gets me though, is that his office mgr...and front desk girl ran this whole thing by my insurance and quoted me an out of pocket amount. I really checked into this, to make sure things were all lined up. They booked me at their surgery center in Greenbrae for a Friday afternoon, and then as I waited to go under, I got to hear everyone joke about their dinner plans and how they only had "one more to go..." So I'm hopping mad at the quality of work done, but didn't know better up front. I can accept that. I suppose. But... Months later, the absolutely crappy anesthesiologist (Dr. Allen Levee) who watched as his student poked me about four times (when you're going under general...this is NOT reassuring)...now his office sends me a fat bill since Dr. Levee billed it out of a different location! (Not covered by my PPO)... They wouldn't work with me on arrangements, and sent it to credit. Now I've making payments as agreed by phone, but his hired collection company still reported it!!! As people wrote, really nice doctor. I bought a Groupon for Botox and had no trouble getting an appointment within a couple of weeks. The reception ladies were super nice. I didn't wait long (10-15 minutes) but spent that time completing forms. I still wonder why all doctors' offices don't just email you those to complete online or at home to bring in with you. Seems it would save so much time. Anyway, minimal consult since I'd had this done before 6-7 times. He commented that he was "fast" which I'm not sure is a good thing. No topical or even the offer for a topical. I would have liked the option at least. Now, understand, I'm not a whimp. I've had tattoos in sensitive places and even had a tattoo removed (which is quite painful). Botox injections are usually minimal pain. HOWEVER. This was, hands down, the most painful procedure I've ever had with injections. I felt like I'd been punched in the cheek and (1.5 hours later) am still throbbing with pain. Since the injection was below my eye (crows feet), I'm expecting a bruise to develop. I hope not. Waiting for the pain to subside but completely unexpected. When I left, I got minimal direction except not to touch it. That was it. When I asked about another procedure, he gave me some information but, for some reason, wouldn't talk pricing. The receptionist had to tell me that. Ok. Nice or not, there is no need to walk out in pain. I would have preferred that he take his time and have some pain there than rush and leave me throbbing all day. I'll update once the pain is gone but, to be honest, I won't go back. read more
