In summer 2026, I went to Dr. Larry Fan for liposuction of my stomach and flanks. I am extremely happy with Dr. Fan and my results. At my consultation, Dr. Fan was generous with his time, answering all of my questions and carefully considering my goals and treatment options. It was clear that Dr. Fan was extremely knowledgeable and experienced. I also appreciated his calm and reassuring demeanor. Dr. Fan determined that I would be a good candidate for liposuction with Renuvion plasma skin tightening. I decided to move forward with the procedure. I was concerned about having enough time to recover before upcoming travel plans, and Dr. Fan was able to accommodate me with a surgery slot just two weeks later. The surgery was done in an outpatient San Francisco surgery center under general anesthesia. The surgery went smoothly. I followed Dr. Fan's recovery instructions carefully and wore a compression garment for eight weeks. I felt well-supported during the recovery process, including post-op visits and the ability to text his staff with any questions or concerns. The change in my appearance is dramatic. I specifically wanted my doctor to be ambitious and remove a large amount of fat. I'm grateful that Dr. Fan left very little subcutaneous fat in the treated areas. There's just enough fat left to look natural and support the skin while reducing my waistline and bulk as much as possible. The skin tightened up nicely - I don't have any loose skin. I had such a wonderful experience at 777 Plastic Surgery! From the very first phone call, Ann made me feel so welcome. This office charges you extra if you choose to not give them publishing rights to photos of your body. I'm guessing this is why there are so many photos of his work, I'm sure most people with their pictures posted don't even realize they are there. It is unethical to not make it very clear you are asking permission to post these photos to use in his marketing. This office hides its permission to publish photos of your body in about 3 dozen pages of paperwork (no joke!) BEFORE you even have an appointment with the doctor. Since it is digital paperwork, it has been designed so there is no way to avoid signing that specific page. You must email them revoking permission after submitting the paperwork. I had to email twice to get an acknowledgement that they would honor my revocation of that clause. After my time with Dr. Fan during my consult his sales person took over and explained because I had revoked their permission to use photos of my body for marketing purposes my surgery would be $2,500 more! Unbelievable! It's not even about the money! I could not trust someone who thought this was appropriate with my body. They also are generally very aggressive with sales which I understand is common in this industry but it made me feel like I was at a used car lot. I recently went to Dr. Fan's office to get a density - a radio frequency energy treatment for tightening. It was amazing - I immediately saw my face lifted and smoother (I took before pictures, pictures when only half my face was done and after pictures). First, the bad news. Dr. Fan is expensive. But... he really is the best. I've seen him for about 10 years for botox, and I have lived in NYC for the last 3 of those 10 years. I have tried twice to go to other less expensive providers who have Botox platinum awards and are top rated. I will never stray again. Dr. Fan's technique reduces and minimizes the wrinkles and lines, but it does not freeze your face. It just makes your facial expressions less dramatic, and thus not as deep lines. The technique to keep a natural look by the other doctors was to freeze part of my face, and let part of it express naturally. Wow - that gives the worst and most obvious results. I was just embarrassed for weeks to talk in public. So - I visit my friends, and Dr. Fan, in SF once a year from NYC. read more

I'm a 41 year old 1/2 Japanese mother of two. I've always wanted larger breasts since I was a teen, so this wasn't a spontaneous decision. But I wanted to nurse my children first so the post nursing sag would be corrected. And I wanted to choose the right surgeon. I had extremely Lopsided breasts (As I was wheeled into the operating room, there were pics of my before's up, and I was like "eww".) So I required a slightly larger implant on my right side (275cc v 250cc) as well as a fat transfer from my flanks to the right breast. This procedure is called a hybrid breast augmentation, which I was not aware of prior to my consultation with Dr. Fan. Not only did the fat transfer hold well and result in even breasts for the first time in my life, I also got rid a bit of stubborn fat that I've had my whole life, so now I have a slightly more pronounced rear. Slightly. I cannot say enough about Dr. Fan's staff; they are fun, funny, welcoming, and warm. Ann's the one with whom I had the most contact, and she rules. Dr. Fan has an excellent bedside manner, and makes you feel like he's taking time to answer any and all questions you have. He asked several times if I had more questions. I always do. Prior consultations with other Surgeons felt rushed. It just felt right. As an irrelevant aside, Dr. Fan has gorgeous skin. As I am sure many reviewers have stated, he is an artist and expert surgeon. As my tatas have settled over the last two months, I can honestly say they are beautiful. I have broad shoulders (swimmer) and a thin build. 5'9" and about 138 depending on the day. Dr Fan gave me an honest opinion regarding the size I should get, which was slightly smaller than I thought. But he's the expert. I'm not. As a licensed professional myself, I have no hubris when it comes to following the guidance of other professionals outside my field. My breasts are beautiful, natural, and are not overly noticeable. I'm always showing them off to friends. I love the way I look in bathing suits, nude, and in the sexy stuff. My boyfriend really likes them too, though he was rightfully agnostic during the decision making process. Dresses that used to sag, don't anymore. And I can actually fill out a bra. Regarding prices, TBH, there was an bit of a Sticker shock. I certainly gulped when I saw the estimate. But I considered it and took into account that (1) I was having three procedures (lipo, fat transfer, and implants), (2) the team doing the work (one of the best in the country if not the world), (3) rising inflation, (4) the costs of running an efficient and responsive practice (I run my own company), and (5) this being SF. As we all know, the Rents are too damn high. Ultimately the procedure was 110% worth it. This augmentation by this surgical team is one instance where I believe that you get what you pay for. And I'm not some loaded trust fund lady who lunches and runs some foundation. I'm a working single mother with a professional career. I had to pay for these myself. I won't post pics here, but I will be happy for Dr. Fan to use them on his site as an example of a hybrid augmentation (I also need to get back into shape as you do need to take at least two months off of weight training afterwards). TL;DR: the team at 77 Plastic Surgery is great and supportive. They did a fantastic job putting me at ease and I'm super happy with my MiraDry results. I am one of those people that just cannot own a white shirt. After 1 wear, I always have pit stains, and my closet has an odor when I open the door. I had considered Botox treatments to help with my sweating, though I knew these were temporary treatments, and so I was super intrigued by Miradry. I went to my first treatment in November was incredibly nervous. I don't like needles. I didn't know if I would be okay with lasers, and I didn't understand the healing process at all but it looked terrible on YouTube. Dr. Fan and his assistant, Ann Hong did a great job of squashing some of my anxiety and explaining the process. They even told me beforehand to bring headphones so I could tune out and stay calm. The procedure took about an hour. The worst part is probably the lidocaine injections at first because of course I have a needle phobia. The laser part is not so bad! A couple sore spots but nothing I couldn't handle (I can't handle much). I went home right after and iced my arm pits as recommended for the next couple days. After that they were still a bit swollen but I was able to attend thanksgiving dinner with my family without issue. Dr. Fan will ask you to take photos to check on the healing process after 72 hours. I liked this since I didn't have to go in but he still checks on progress afterwords. On Sunday night I flew out to Las Vegas for a conference and worked it every day.. and omg... I wasn't sweating! I could handle all my business meeting and running back and forth between hotels without BO!!!! It did take a few months for my swelling to go completely down and for my armpits to not feel numb, but overall I was super happy with the results. Fast forward to this past week when I decided to go do a second appointment. Why? Because the weather got warmer and I was starting to sweat a little. Not too much... but enough that I resumed wearing deodorant if I was going out to a club. The second appointment was so so so much easier.. it's day 2 of healing and the swelling is not as bad at all. I have no sweat so far, and I'm super stoked with my results. Leaving reviews isn't really my thing but I did rely a lot of yelp reviews when deciding which doctors to consult with for my breast augmentation. I wanted to share my experience with Dr. Fann because if someone is looking for a plastic surgeon to consult with and ultimately get treated by, there are so many in the bay area, and Dr. Fann is (in my opinion) the best. I consulted with a few doctors, perhaps because I look young (although I am 30), or perhaps because I am a graduate student, I felt never took me seriously nor did they give me the thoroughness and thoughtful that I wanted. I was looking for a consult with someone who really understood how implants would affect my body and talk about how my specifically will look depending on placement, size, shape, profile, etc. Soo many other doctors just made me try on implants in an uncomfortable manner and rambled off the basics. Dr. Fann was so thoughtful and really discussed my skin/body/shape/history with me to make sure I knew what I would be getting and gave me a realistic idea. I was very thankful for that. Dr. Fann's his entire staff was so lovely, Leanna and especially Joey went above and beyond with scheduling in a tight timeframe and working with me during the start of Covid. I went in for my surgery during spring break, which was the last day of Feb. 2020 and just so happened to be the start of Covid. My body reacted poorly to one of the implants, I was able to text pictures to Joey 24/7 and always got a prompt response.
