I didn't have time to order another one, so I went all over--to Men's Wearhouse, Friar Tux, and Macy's--but couldn't find the right tuxedo the same day at a reasonable price. Before giving up, I called Hollywood Suits to ask if they had tuxedos available. I was lucky that Oscar answered my call. He went out of his way to text me photos of what they had in stock. I went over about four hours before my event, and they had several great options. Oscar helped me find the right size, and they even offer alterations right in the back for an additional fee. I found a tuxedo in about 15 minutes, and they altered the pants in 30 minutes. They truly saved the day.

His roommate has been bugging him to come here for a long time so we came over. It's on Hollywood Boulevard, which is very touristy. The sales person with the black hair and beard was super helpful and patient. He styled a whole bunch of variations with the ties and shirts. We ended up getting like three shirts and three ties and he threw a couple freebies in which was great. The only issue is that it was a longer process in general. And we didn't see pricing on any of the items so we should've asked. And I think some of the shirts that we bought were a different price online. I'm not 100% sure but definitely ask as you go through the process. Street parking. There's no returns on the item so you better love them. We appreciate it that he let us try on several dress shirts to find the right fit. My son had a good experience. Overall, it was reasonably priced. I'm not 100% sure if the dress shirts we bought are a cotton blend or 100% cotton, but we were advised not to dry them too long as they were machine washable.

There has never been a more penny pinching and less moral booking policy. Only 15 of my 200+…read morereviews are 1 star, so I don't choose that ranking lightly, especially for a small local business. We booked an appointment 4 or 5 days ahead of time, as there was full availability on the calendar for weekdays. There is a 48 hour cancellation window, and at hour 47 we realized that the timing conflicted slightly with a work matter (when we made the appointment we were in New York and miscalculated the time difference). An email was sent at the 47th hour (1 hour after the window), mentioning the issue and asking if it could still be canceled since it was so close to the window, and apologizing for missing the window. The owner replied and specifically said "No problem, we've gone ahead and canceled the appointment for you". At this point, we figured all was well as they made no mention of still charging the fee. A few weeks later, we noticed the charge was still there. A quick email reply came when we inquired saying it was past their window and no refund was due. IF this was the case, why did the original email not say so and why did they make 0 effort to reschedule or ask if another time worked better? OR we could have made it work if she hadn't responded so positively. What a slimy way to make a quick $27 for nothing. I will restate that the calendar was still really really open (ie, it was not a highly sough after appointment slot taken from anyone else even on the off chance they were booking in the 2-4 days out window). Overall, it is a blessing the appointment didn't happen after reading some of these reviews about how the owner acts in person (no surprise there). Ended up with a beautiful dress from Berta and would highly recommend their new LA showroom on Beverly.
