Went there years ago. He made a nightguard that was so tight around my teeth it broke my two front (expensive) veneers when i put it on at night. Had them fixed by Dr. McMaster, a much better and excellent dentist around the corner. After multiple requests, his office still couldn't figure out how to provide more than one text reminder for dental cleaning appointments. Dr. Brilliant and his team are wonderful. They've cared for our two year old's first chipped tooth, our eight year old's extraction (she barely flinched!), and my husband and my routine exams and cleanings. Everyone in the office is so kind and caring. We've never felt pressured to perform any 'unnecessary' procedures, and we're treated more like family than patients. I had a great experience with this dentist, his staff, and even scheduling my appointment. The office is cutting edge: they take digital x-rays that you can look at immediately, they showed me my teeth with a little camera as they talked to me about what they saw, and the cleaning was comfortable and painless. They treated me like an adult, rather than scolding me for not flossing enough. =) They even gave me a CD of relaxing music for being a new patient! The office manager also offered to check which procedures my insurance would cover, so that I can decide what I can afford to do and schedule accordingly. I appreciated that they weren't trying to sell me anything or suggest work that I didn't need. The entire staff was kind and seemed honest. read more

A co-worker recommended this place to me, so I thought I'd give it a try, and I was impressed! Scheduling was easy, and quick too. Their office is very clean and has a nice relaxing feel to it, and the ladies working the front desk were very nice as well. I got my X-Rays done, and had a cleaning. Cathy was my dental hygienist and she did a meticulous job. Dr. Holtz was very nice when he came around to examine my teeth after the cleaning. They sent me a preview of the bill vs what insurance paid, etc. So I waited for my bill to come, and it had been about a month so I called them and said, "I haven't received my bill yet" and she replied with, "Oh it was only $3.00 after insurance, so we picked up the bill for you." Which I thought was very nice! I can't guarantee that they do it for everyone that has a small bill, but I thought that was very kind of them. I went back just yesterday, and it was one of the few times in my life that I clearly remember not dreading going to the dentist. I had my routine cleaning, and they sent me on my way with my little goodie bag of dental accessories. I recommend this place! They are fantastic! read more

4 stars: Yay! I'm a fan. I'm a 19 year old who went in to get his teeth whitened. My appointment was at 1:30. I arrived a few minutes early and waited perhaps 10-15 minutes. They had sports magazines, a picture book of qualcomm stadium, and pamphlets as reading material. A noteworthy one was about why dental insurance is so complex (too terse, for i think). I was then approached by Christy (nurse? hygienist?), a cheerfully friendly person who laughed at having the same name as my previous dentist. She took me to a beautiful room (spotless windows, view of palm trees), reset the monitors (had some guy's x-rays), and went to copy my records (i switched dentists). National geographic magazine was on the wall. 2 minutes later, Dr. Holtz came and introduced himself. Jolly fellow laughed at having to live up to high expectations when i mentioned that my dad recommended him and joked about how he didn't know the "internet became this slow" when I mentioned that it'll take up to 2 weeks for x-rays to transfer from my previous dentist. He went with a in-mouth exam, checked for cancer, asked about my wisdom teeth, mentioend that sealants for adults are useless (gotta ask why next time), and basically decided that he'll wait on the x-rays. He then explained to me the 3 whitening options (in office, take-home custom tray, take home tray) and said the custom tray is "the golden standard". Also was the first out of 3 to tell me why i should correct my overbite (apparently, lower teeth is imprinting into gums and slowly pushing them back as I chomp, though he said it's not an immediate concern). He then left and Christy made molds. Fun person, mentioned her kid. Took her 3 tries to get my upper teeth mold correct because my overbite is evil. They also pamphlet explaining the benefits of different fillings as I left. I'm picking up trays next week.Total cost was $420 for the whitening custom trays. Insurance covered the exam (~$100) edit: I'm not judging skill because I do not know enough about the field to do so. read more

Dr. Brilliant knows how to calm the savage beast that is my 3 year old. My son refuses to be compliant with any other doctor but actually likes going to the dentist now! Dr. Brilliant really is brilliant! And so so kind. I've neglected going to the dentist for a few years because they scare me. Well it was long over due and I ended up needing a root canal and Dr. Brilliant made my experience so much better. I was super nervous but him and his team made sure I was comfortable throughout the whole process. I was so overjoyed at the end I wanted to give them all a hug. But obviously I didn't because that'd be weird and covid. Dr. Brilliant is the best dentist! I'm very discerning about health care providers for my family so I do my research wherever we go. A few moms at school take their kids and themselves to Dr. Brilliant and said they were very happy with the office. I have to say, initially I was hesitant because I was really looking for a pedodontist for my son and not a family dentist because I want him to start off life with positive associations with the dentist. Despite my concerns, I decided to try Dr. Brilliant only because a few really selective people were so happy with him. I'm so glad that I took the chance!!   Dr. Brilliant and his entire team always do a great job keeping my son calm and happy during the visit. My son plays with toys in the waiting room and watches videos on the ceiling while in the dental chair. They teach him how to brush his teeth using a puppet named Flossie. It's really an adorable presentation. There are two great perks to a family dentist that I didn't anticipate. 1) I don't have to make two separate visits to take care of me and my son's dental care. 2) Seeing a family dentist is more cost effective than a pedodontist. I compared our fees to a friend's and these fees were significantly cheaper!  My own experience as a patient has been phenomenal. I learn something new from my hygienist Maureen everytime I go and Dr. Brilliant gives a great shot. They're seriously painless!!! Anyway, I can't recommend Dr. Brilliant and his office enough. Used to be the office of Dr. Holtz. Dr. Brilliant took over. Staff is the same, nice as always and the new doctor is nice and very informative. The only complaint I really have is that I was quoted that a procedure would cost one thing and it ended up being more so I wasn't really prepared to pay the new amount? They let me do payments so that made it better, since when I got the bill I panicked a bit. But I've been going to that office for a long time, since my son was 5. Let me start by saying that my childhood dental experiences left permanent scars on me. Dr. Brilliant's sense of humor and care have helped me moved past this. My son went to a dentist in Temecula who told him he had three teeth that were badly decayed and needed three major fillings. I requested copies of his X-rays and immediately took my son to Dr. Holtz. He looked at the X-rays and my son's teeth. Dr. Holtz determined that there was nothing wrong with my son's teeth and that he did not need any fillings at all.
