If you have plenty of free time to make repeated phone calls and send messages just to get your own money back, then feel free to use this clinic. I canceled my consultation in advance, first by text message and then by phone. Despite this, the clinic charged my card twice. I had to call four times--on August 31, September 1, September 4, and September 10--and send several written messages asking for an explanation and a refund. On Friday, I was told that the employee responsible for this matter was unavailable and that I would receive a written response on Monday. That response never came. The money was finally credited back to my account on September 14, approximately two weeks after the second charge. I am glad that I eventually received the refund, but the amount of time, stress, and effort required to recover my own money was completely unacceptable. This review concerns the clinic's billing practices and customer service, not its dental treatment, since my consultation never took place. read more

Beware!!! I had to cancel a dental cleaning on Monday due to a mandatory work engagement. The appointment was for Tuesday....,so, 24 hours. The receptionist tells me she needs to assess me a cancellation fee because it was inside 48 hours. Realize, 48 hours was Sunday and they are closed. I learned of my last minute need to work on Saturday. Now get this, the cancellation fee is $86. I have never seen a fee this high. Since I have never missed an appt, I asked if this could be waived one time. The answer was no and the receptionist has no way to override. I've spent plenty at Citracado but looks like I need a new dentist more interested in customer service and less about the bottom line. read more

I started with Citracado Dental Group in about 2012. I have had fillings, crowns, and some gum treatment with everything always going well. Recently Dr. Robert put on a cerec crown which he was not happy with. He said it was not positioned right and that eventually enough bacteria would get in the gaps and cause a cavity situation and shorten the lifespan of the crown by years. 2 weeks later Dr. Roberts put on the new crown with no charge to me and everything went well. I want to express my appreciation to Dr. Robert for his honesty in this situation. This has made my trust in him and Citracado Dental Group grow even more. I had called so many places hoping to be able to be fit in since I have a wedding this afternoon and finally found Citracado Dental and they were immediately able to fit me into their schedule. You have a dental group who charges twice the price of any dental office. Its been reported that only 60 perent of what you pay them actually goes to toward your dental work. 40 percent is overhead charges and made up costs per their fee schedule.. what a joke. My old dentist retired. My sister ended up going to this dental group a month ago and was quite satisfied. So I went with them as well. I had a different dentist than my sister, but I was quite satisfied with my visit as well. I am not the typical customer. I have back problems that make it painful to sit. This office did what they could to try to accommodate me. They were very friendly and really seemed to care. I had an exam done on me and cleaning. Sadly, I don't have insurance. Even so, I felt the pricing was fair. Also, they were upfront with the costs before my visit. Cleaning costs, of course, are subject to the exam. I scheduled both together because my gums had been feeling weird for the past few weeks. Luckily, my gums were in good shape and just needed a regular cleaning. As mentioned, I was quite satisfied. What a fun experience I had today with Dr Anna Gute and her assistant Monique! Fun is not usually how I describe getting dental work, because in the past it has given me a lot of anxiety and fear. Today I felt excited, relaxed, well informed and well taken care of. Dr Anna, Monique and Louise did an excellent job! Dr Anna explained all my options and gave her expert recommendation, yet left the ultimate decision up to me. Her anesthesia technique was flawless / painless and she was very patient with me when I wasn't sure about using the Isolite suction tool. I love that Citracado Dental Group is a family owned practice. Dr. Randy Jungman and Dr. Julie Kangas own the business and their sons Dr. Robert Jungman is the clinical director and Dr. Nick Jungman is a general dentist at the practice. The practice also includes 4 other dentist, several hygienist, clinical staff and numerous office staff. The Citracado Dental Group is open 6 days a week and they will make themselves available on off hours for dental emergencies. My time as a patient dates back to 2004. In fact, our entire family which includes my wife, our kids, sisters family and my mother-in-law all went to Citracado when they resided in San Diego. We came back to the family practice when we relocated back from Northern California in October of 2022. The building is somewhat of a landmark and is equiped with state of the art equipment. The staff are very caring, strive to provide professional care and does so in as much of a pain-free state as possible. In fact, my hygienist, Sabrina, reached out to me by way of text to see how I was doing the night following a deep cleaning around my gums. That was the first time in 63 years I had anyone follow-up with me on their own time to see how I was doing. That in itself is deserving of 5 stars. This is the best dental office I've ever been to. And I have been to many throughout my life, starting in adolescence . My issues have only gotten worse with age. The anxiety I feel knowing it's never and easy fix, sometimes keeps me from facing it. But not anymore . After seeing Dr. Robert Jungman I have new hope! He took so much time with me and crafted a plan that I'm actually excited about. His knowledge of all the new cutting edge tech is amazing and for the first time in my life I see a solution. i visited Citracado Dental Group for a "routine" checkup and cleaning - and was surprised and actually shocked to learn that x-rays indicated I had developed cavities under two porcelain crowns! I didn't think this was even possible, but I trusted the dentists at Citracado Dental completely, so they first had to remove two of my crowns and then remove the decay under those crowns and then put in two completely new crowns - and I had three dentists in this office to help me. Dr Robert examined the x-rays and noticed the decay, then Dr Nick and Dr Julie replaced the two old crowns with new porcelain crowns - and ..... all of this was completely pain-free! I just love everyone at Citracado Dental and would recommend them to anyone and everyone. They are The Best at what they do and they're soooo nice about it, so I felt I was a part of their family! read more

I have had the opportunity to get treatment done by pretty much every dr in this office and I loved every single one of them. Dr Jungman took out my wisdom tooth last week and made me feel comfortable and took my mind off of it the whole time. I was so nervous coming in but I'm glad him and his assistant Louise made me laugh and asked how I was doing the whole time. I also got a crown done last month by Dr Robert. He explained the process thoroughly to me and even showed me pictures of the process and how my tooth looked before, during, and after! Dr Anna Gute did some Botox in the office for me as well and she walked me through the whole process. I'm loving my results . Overall, this office is very caring for their patients and staff. This place might be great for ongoing dental services but I wouldn't recommend it for any kind of emergency procedure. I came for a very slight chip in my bonding because my regular dentist was not available. They tried to charge me for an x ray which was clearly not needed. They then priced my service at 4x what I have paid before at a dentist office and when I refused they demanded I pay over $100 for them to have seen me. It was a really unpleasant experience, don't recommend. read more

What a great experience! My crown fell off, and I needed to find a dentist to re-cement it. I was not a client of Citracado, but I called them, and they immediately booked me for an emergency appointment. Dr. Nick, and the entire staff made me feel instantly at home. I am usually terrified to go to the dentist since I have very sensitive teeth and gums, but Dr. Nick was able to replace my crown without causing me any pain or discomfort at all. He even called that night and the following week to check up on me. I have since been back for a basic check up and teeth cleaning, and this experience was also amazing. Everyone is so friendly and welcoming, and they go out of their way to make you comfortable. They also have state-of-the-art equipment, so I never have to worry about them missing anything. I like to go there even though I'm extremely anxious when it comes to dentists. They have a variety of dentists, hygienists and all different kinds of specialties. They always involve you in your treatment and accept a clear no with no further questions. Dr. Kansas is my primary dentist and after my last filling my tooth started hurting and aching really bad. When I came to my hygienist appointment they made sure I was seen by a doctor that same day. Dr. Robert checked my tooth and we decided I'll need a root canal. I was soo scared of the procedure but they did everything possible to reassure me and make me feel heard. It's an amazing group of dentists and I'm actually starting to like to go there. You always get a nice welcome and they receptionists remember your name and make your experience very personal. I came to you in pain requiring my nerve to be cleaned from infection and the poorly placed stitches to be removed, as well as razor sharp fragments of my former tooth to be removed from my gums that was causing me torturing pains. You refused to take my cash money to remove the fragments of teeth because you said it would be a waste of your time, that they would come out by themselves. You should be ashamed of yourself and lose your license for digging into my gums with the metal tools without verifying that I had been medicated yet by your assistant who should equally be ashamed. You dug straight into my nerve and told me if I don't stop screaming that you will have me removed. I told you that I had not been medicated yet I just got here and that you went straight into my nerve. You whispered to your assistant as if I couldn't hear you "oops, I thought you numbed the patient" and then started to give me the numbing drugs. Your skillset is so terrible that I would have rather done the procedure myself in a gas station bathroom. The pain was like torture when you stabbed me in my nerve and jiggled the needle around while you injected your medicine after the fact. You made me go through that 3 times counting second after second while your assistant held me down by the face and neck to keep me from squirming around and screaming from the unnecessary pain you put me through. and I never had anyone sedate me the way you did. I never had anyone tap into my nerves before just to inject the anesthetic. I never had any experience like this with all the teeth I have had removed or filled in the past. Julie kangas you are one of the reasons why I don't trust dentists. You made me lose faith in every dentist. I couldn't even pay you cash money to fix it. You made me feel as if my money could never amount to fixing my health that you and two other dentists destroyed. I hope you sleep well at night knowing it's been almost a year now that I am living with the pain, can't eat most foods and it hurts to drink water. I asked you to help me and you hurt me more than anyone should ever be hurt. I wouldn't wish the pain on my worst enemies. I wouldn't even wish it on you, the scum bag dentist who did it to me without even saying sorry. I wish I could give them even more stars. Citracado is the best dental office there is. They prioritize health by taking your blood pressure every visit and have charts that explain your mouth is the key to your health. They are even open until 7pm on Wednesdays and are open on Saturdays as well which is so rare to find! Their pricing is very fair/inexpensive ,with my insurance I was able to get both wisdom teeth out for 300$. Not to mention they are all great at they're jobs. I got both wisdom teeth out, painlessly, in 10 minutes. I had minimal/no swelling. I have attached a photo 24 hours post surgery no chimp munk cheeks or excessive bleeding. Wow! What terrible transparency! I went in having pain in one tooth $158 later. Was told I'd need to come back for a deep cleaning $277 total. Show up for my deep cleaning told I'm scheduled for a new patient exam... ummm I was here the other day I know what the problem is? Then, they tell me it'll all be fine they'll give me a discount and take care of everything.. $264 new total. THEN they "diagnose" me THE EXACT SAME DIAGNOSIS they told me a few days ago and tell me it'll be $2145 for this deep cleaning.. What a joke! I'm a cash patient and now I'm out over $200 to get the same diagnosis twice and I still have tooth pain. read more
