Every time I drive by the Winter Park/UCF area - this place is a MUST. I always order the same thing every time because unbelievably - it tastes even better each time. They allow call-in orders so by the time I get there- it's always ready for me to pick up! (they are super quick with it anyway). It was very refreshing and was not too sweet, which was great. Last visit I got the soursop smoothie and I really enjoyed that one. It was also refreshing and tasted so good. This is probably the only place that I will be willing to try something new. Usually other places I just stick to what I know is good there. Atmosphere is nice and they have may tables for seatings. Shaka Shaka has been the highlight of my past two trips up to Orlando. The drinks are so good! It's called a tea house, but I'm the biggest fan of their fruit smoothies . The flavors are so authentic with real fruit ingredients and the drinks are super refreshing with the perfect balance of sweetness (you can adjust sweetness level), texture, and consistency. Their tapioca pearl boba also are made well here and they come as a free optional topping. A true mom and pop shop as they are run by a really adorable older couple. The woman is running the front cashier and husband making the drinks in the back. The prices are some of the cheapest I've seen for drinks. I've tried many of their flavors and you really can't go wrong with the many options they have. You can also mix flavors together like passionfruit and soursop. Shaka Shaka is my sister's favorite bubble tea shop in Orlando, so she made sure to take us here when we were visiting. There are two locations so this was the first time she had been here, too. This isn't the kind of bubble tea that I'm used to. I'm used to many tea options, versus only 2-3 here. But there are so many fresh fruit smoothies available that you basically forget about the fact that tea options are limited. Per recommendation from the lady at the counter, I ended up ordering the green tea cappuccino, which after a confusing explanation, I took to be green tea with cream, aka green milk tea. It was tasty and satisfying, especially with the boba. This location allows you to purchase "gift cards" for 10% off if you use cash. We bought $20 worth for $18. We were basically able to order 5 drinks that way. While waiting for your drink, we were able to check out the wall art. Wings, perfect for your instagram photos! I was a little short for the wings (I'm 5'3-ish) but I made it work. Overall, Shaka Shaka is definitely a legit bubble tea shop. I hope they are successful in the competitive boba market in Orlando! read more

The ingredients are all fresh fruit which means that sometimes the menus will change throughout the year depending on what fruit are in season. I haven't had a chance to try them all but one of my favorites has to be guava. Shaka Shaka is a great place to grab a tea and sit down with friends for a while. This is such an underrated tea/smoothie/boba place by UCF. Their drinks are made with real fruits, and everything tastes incredibly fresh. Even though they use real ingredients, the drinks are decently priced; a regular drink with boba comes out to be around $5, which is similar to prices from other shops nearby. I ordered the avocado and taro smoothie (avotaro/tarocado) with boba, and the drink was rich and creamy. Meanwhile, my friend ordered the peach smoothie and it tasted just like the actual fruit. In addition, their boba has a pretty desirable consistency, not too smooth or soft. The shop is also very quiet and clean, so it would make a perfect date or study spot! I did find the wait time to be a little long, probably because they have to prepare the fruits, so make sure you plan accordingly. Also, the boba is placed at the top of the drink, rather than the bottom, which doesn't really change anything except for the aesthetic appeal. This place is fun, the employee behind the counter was super sweet and helped us decide on what to order (we are total boba novices). We ordered the Thai tea w boba, passion fruit smoothie with yogurt pearls and the strawberrry milk tea with blueberries! 1) Strawberry milk tea w blueberries 10/10, nice and sweet and I loved the blueberries for taste and texture 2) Thai tea w tapioca boba 8/10 the tea was sweet and there was lots of boba included but the tea wasn't as thick as we've had from other places. 3) And finally, the passion fruit smoothie. 7/10 the smoothie was pretty sour but the yogurt pearls were fantastic! read more

My Orlando friends have been RAVING about Shaka Shaka Tea House, so I definitely had to check it out during my stay. SS offers fresh fruit smoothies without powders or added sweeteners. Their drinks are amazingly refreshing!! They were having a BOGO free promotion, and my boyfriend and I got to try different drinks but both were really tasty. He got the avocado, and I got black plum. I've never heard of a black plum before, but I was so thankful I got to discover it at SS. The cashier was really friendly and helpful with their menu. The inside of the cafe is clean, but there wasn't a lot of seating, so if it gets busy, you might not be able to get a seat. I visited with a group of 8 people, and we took up most of the seats. I've literally been living across the street from this establishment and had no idea it was there! TGFY (Thank Goodness For Yelp)!! It's in the plaza on the corner of University and Goldenrod where Publix and Brooklyn Water Bagels is. There is plenty of parking available in the plaza parking lot. When you walk in you are greeted with relaxing interior and beautiful purple seating that adds the right amount of pop to the decor. And let us not forget the wings photo opp on the wall! They have a rewards system so be sure to punch in your number on the little tablet at the counter! We went in around 3:30pm and it was quiet. The woman at the front was so sweet and helpful. She didn't speak much English and even though I was able to understand her, she went to get her son to help us out, since it was our first time. He explained what they have there, and told us, if you're not sure what to get just fine your favorite fruit! And so that's what we did! I got a medium Pineapple Ginger Tea w/boba and my daughter got a medium Coconut Milk Tea w/boba. While waiting for our drinks we played mancala. Our drinks were brought to our table, and we enjoyed popping the straws through as usual. My pineapple ginger tea was just as I expected. There were pineapple pieces inside with the boba as well as a slice of ginger root. The pineapple and ginger flavors were both equally showcased in this tea.
