It was a pretty easy system to figure out, but I can imagine someone struggling to order if they're not tech efficient. I ordered the chicken burger, green style. It had pickles and sauce. While messy, it was delicious. I also ordered a side of fries and they were perfectly crispy. The dining room is large. It was raining and it was packed inside so getting a table was difficult. Once we found a table, our food was brought to us and the staff were helpful and friendly. They got extra sauce for us and they were happy to accommodate with whatever we needed. Stopped by while visiting the area and was very pleased with my food and experience! I used the mobile app to order, the app said it could take 7-12 minutes to be ready so I submitted my order when I was 5 minutes away. I thought parking was going to be challenging on a busy Friday night, but I was able to park in a 10 minute parking spot very close to the location. I received a text that my order was ready just as I was walking through the doors! The shackburger was hot and the fries were crispy. I was happy with how fresh the food was. My friend raved about how great the Christmas cookie shake and it did not disappoint as well. After a day of shopping, I decided to stop by shake shack for a quick meal with my friend. Considering the hype that shake shack has been subjected to over the past few years, this location was surprisingly quiet for a Sunday afternoon. Notably, prices are somewhat pricy, with a standard shack burger coming in at over $10 after tax. Fries are an additional $3. I opted for fries and a hot dog, so my total came in at around a little over $8. The wait was higher than I expected considering that the restaurant was not extremely busy. But 15 minutes later, my food was ready. The fries were subpar, as they felt like frozen crinkle cut fries. I personally prefer freshly cut fries, so Shake Shack's fries did not impress me. Notably, my order of fries had a bunch of oily"crumbs." Basically, it felt like I was given the fries from the bottom of a bag of bulk frozen fries. On another note, I found my hotdog to be much better than a standard hot dog. The hot dog was slit down the center and charred. It had a nice smoky flavor, and I enjoyed the texture of the charred exterior. I also liked that the hot dog was longer than the bun, preventing me from getting a mouthful of only bread on my first bite. Certainly better than a standard boiled hot dog. Overall, I would not go out of my way to eat at shake shack. If I do end up here, I would skip the fries. The entrees are much more promising. read more

Visited Shake Shack around 6 PM, and wow--it was really crowded, but I found a parking spot right out front, which was surprisingly nice for the Summit parking. Despite the rush, our food didn't take too long to come out. I ordered the Triple Shack Burger with fries, and everything was piping hot--so hot I almost burned my mouth! Finally decided to give this place a try and I am a big fan now - came back again within the same week! My wife and I stopped by with our children while we were in the area. Our daughter wanted a hamburger, so we got her a basic hamburger. I got the new korean chicken sandwich with gochujang sauce and kimchi on it. It was GREAT. I got it on the repeat trip too, lol. I also liked their fries with the cheese and seasoning on them - but really liked dipping it into the sauce that comes with their burgers. I always get one burger but sometimes you need two. If you're gonna get a shake, pay the extra 50 cents and get a malted one. So incredibly yummy. Reminds me of my childhood and carefree times. Overall I would give this place a 4/5 stars. Service was fast. When ordering you can either place an order at the cash register or order on the tablets near the entrance.Once ready, they bring the food to your table, which I really liked. The restaurants atmosphere was over all noisy but I enjoyed the music in the background. The only con I have about the burger would be how small the portion size of it is and for the price that we paid I would've liked it to be a bit bigger. The flavors in both were delicious. The Shack chicken sandwich was juicy and the shack burger wasn't burnt and tasted like a handmade patty. The fries were my favorite as I love BBQ. Have been here before at the Chicago location. This place is known for their great quality of food as well as service and it usually comes at a price. For someone like me who grades food on price, often I may feel short-changed for an "overpriced" product. Shake shack has great quality burgers and its quite pricey, but after coming back again. and again. I'd say its worth it. The natural flavors and quality do show when you bite into their double stack burger or hot portobello and cheese stack burger. After attending the grand opening, I've eaten here two additional times. Once was to use a coupon I was given, and once because my daughter wanted to try it. I have to reduce my rating from 3.5 stars to 2 stars because I really think this place is way overhyped and overpriced. I stand by my opinion that their burgers are nothing special. Fries are nothing special (seriously, I can buy crinkle cut frozen fries from the grocery store, and melt some plain ole Velveeta cheese on them, and they'd taste the same, for a lot less expense.) One of the items I ate was a plain burger, like it had 2 buns and a thin, flat, fried slice of meat. I didn't expect it to be completely plain, so I didn't specify that I wanted lettuce and tomatoes and the cashier didn't ask me if I wanted any. The best things were the shakes, and even then, there are shakes that are just as good as or better than for less $ elsewhere. Shake Shack was a first for me. And it was definitely worth it! My boyfriend and I attended the soft opening and it sure was packed. We ordered at the kiosks off to the left when you enter (there are 3), and they were very easy to navigate and use! We were able to order in less than 3 mins. When you place your order, they give you the option to enter your cell number so that they can keep you updated on your order via text. Love this feature! As far as the food, the burgers were delicious! I ordered a single patty shackburger which was topped with lettuce, tomato, and their famous shacksauce. Perfect bun to burger ratio in my opinion (which I'm glad I didn't order a double patty). Their crinkle fries weren't anything special, but i appreciated that they were crisp and not soaked in oil. We also ordered their watermelon basil lemonade and it was so refreshing! The basil note was not too overpowering at all. Overall, I really enjoyed the food. They open at 11:00 a.m. and we arrived at 11:15 on today (09/01/18). The line was almost out the door. I suggest you look over the menu online before you come. If you are wanting to dine in have someone in your party secure your seats first. The newness has not worn off so securing your seat is the first priority. They did not have any concretes because their machine was broken and they had sold their last custard. How are you out of custard at 11:15 a.m. when you open at 11:00 a.m.? This screams poor management. Now to the food. The burgers are great. The fries are good. However, the price does not match the food. We paid $60.00 for 4 burgers, 4 fries, and 4 drinks. Say, what? Steak n Shake, and Freddy's are better options when you consider the price. On Friday's at Perry's Restaurant I can get 4 signature pork chops for this price. Also, if their dessert machine would have been working this would have pushed the bill upward of $80.00. Shake Shack I think not. Shake Down is the more appropriate name! read more

Only opened about 3 weeks, Shake Shack occupies where Coldwater Creek used to be at the Summit. It's in a prime location because it's on the corner where vehicles turn into the main shopping area. It is also across from the popular Cheesecake factory. Decorations are simple with the now popular viewable duct ceilings. Shake Shake originated up north in the New York area. Their humble roots began as a food cart. Now they are expanding across the nation with the nearest Shake Shack in Atlanta. When you enter there is an ipad station to your left where you can place your order and pay except this Sunday afternoon, the devices were inoperative. I discovered later from the General Manager that they were having tech issues and their WiFi was down. Straight in front are two young ladies manning a register and behind them on the wall was their large menu. According to their menu they use 100% all natural ingredients including their beef, chicken and pork along with cage free eggs on non-GMO potato buns. Their biggest variety are their burgers. They have a chicken breast sandwich, hot and chicken dogs, Crinkle cut fries and a variety of shakes, cones and concretes round out their menu. Concretes are their frozen custard blended with different ingredients of your choosing. They also have a variety of interesting alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages including watermelon basil lemonade and abita root beer. After you select and pay for your order, good luck finding a place to sit. There's actually plenty of seating but on this Sunday lunchtime, it was packed. There were a few outdoor tables as well, but it was busy. There is a drink station in the corner and adjacent to it is their "pickup" area. When your pager goes off, they will also announce your name out loud. We weren't very original as all 4 of us ordered the same Shackburger! Since most everything was a la carte, I ordered a cheese fries. The burgers were simple and straightforward. Nicely cooked medium patties, lettuce, cheese, fresh tomatoes and lettuce. The best part was their non-GMO buns that was toasted with a healthy spread of butter! Yom Yom. The cheese fries were very good because they didn't use canned cheese and their shakes were not bad. We tried the Chocolate and Strawberry Cookies n Cream. The Strawberry one tasted like Strawberry Short cake. Friendly staff was always keeping the tables cleaned for the next customer. The manager stopped at our booth to check on us. Nakia was very friendly and gave us a nice history of Shake Shack. Nice atmosphere. Large open windows provided plenty of light to showoff their contemporary "wood" style walls. Shake Shack was akin to eating at a McDonalds or Burger King, but elevated. Food quality is of course on par with their elevation thus also their prices. You can also use their app to order ahead. Nice touch. This wouldn't be a place I would eat every week but if you like a good shake and appreciate a healthy burger, give Shake Shack a shake :-) read more

I just tried out Shake Shack for the first time for lunch today. I arrived around 1:30 PM and there was a line, but it wasn't too bad. I was able to order within 10-15 minutes. My husband and I both ordered the bacon cheese fries. They were decent, but nothing to really write home about. My husband tried the chicken sandwich and he really liked it. I ordered the vanilla custard mixed with the pie of the day, which was Peach. This was my first time trying custard, but trust me, it's not my last time. Custard has a different consistency than ice cream and it was really good to eat the cold custard the warm peach pie mixed into it. We were able to sit inside, but there's a nice size patio area outside if seating inside is limited. The workers were friendly. Our cashier asked if we were ready to "shack it up" and I told her "absolutely". Their prices are a little more expensive than one of my other favorite burger places, but I'll definitely be back for the custard! read more
