Got off to a rocky start -- my friend and I both ordered the whiskey smash and unfortunately found flies in our drinks. Not a great first impression, but the staff handled it well and swapped them out right away with no hassle. Customer service really saved the moment. After that things turned around and became more lively. We ordered the brussels sprouts, crab bites, Mojitos and Long islands, and everything was solid. It's a nice happy hour menu with a good variety, and there were definitely other items on there I'd want to try next time if I'd been hungrier. Docking a star for the drink mishap, but the recovery and the food afterward make this worth coming back for. read more

Placed a pick up order online yesterday and utilized my bday cheesecake reward with any purchase. The young lady who assisted me at the counter was sweet, but she did come out of the side room/closet located next to the register visibly eating (still chewing while assisting me). The banana cream cheesecake grabbed my attention again since it is one of the few selections that doesn't taste overly sweetened. Very happy with my choice. I opted to have the chicken katsu bowl as my purchased item. Chicken katsu is typically lightly breaded, however, this was heavily breaded and was not on par with what I had seen online for Cheesecake Factory. My order didn't really have any of the glaze and there were maybe all of 6 edamame beans. I will say the portion of mushrooms, rice and cucumbers were generous. The breading of the chicken itself was seasoned nicely, but the protein was hard to enjoy with the breading to chicken ratio. I do believe this dish has potential to be really great with some tweaks in the execution. read more

Can't go wrong with this American staple. Cheesecake Factory probably has the biggest menu ever. There are so many different items on their menu. Today's entrees of choice were the Louisiana chicken pasta and the chicken piccata. The Louisiana pasta was a little under seasoned but the chicken piccata was good and didn't have an overpowering lemon flavor. Very subtle. Service was ok. It was Sunday and it was super busy so our waiter was all over but she did fine in checking in on us. We settled on the peach perfect cheesecake to go and it was so good. We came here around 2pm on a Saturday afternoon. There was a little bit of a wait but only about 20-25 mins for a party of 4. My interaction with the hostess station was welcoming and professional. Once we got seated in our booth , our server came right over to take our drink orders. I have zero complaints on the service. Any questions we had about the menu were answered cordially. The adult beverages are HIGH ( in my opinion). I ordered a tropical mimosa from the brunch menu and it was like $13 ('maybe). I didn't know until we got the check at the end. It was a cute little drink and tasty but STILL!! I also had a dirty martini with stuffed blue cheese olives. I preferred it over the cute drink. It was expensive too! Hahaah. Oh well. We ordered calamari to share. I didn't love it because it was bland tasting. I hated that it was served with tartar and cocktail as the dipping sauces. Terrible choices! My niece and nephew both ordered the chicken shawarma with fries. They really enjoyed it and had leftovers since the portion sizes were plentiful. I had one of my nephew's fries and it was sooooo salty though! For my meal, I had the Cajun salmon ( lunch portion) with spinach & mashed potatoes. The salmon had a nice flavor, not spicy, really. I was surprisingly pleased with this dish. The mashed potatoes could have been a little warmer. I also had leftovers. My mom had chicken tenders with mashed potatoes and what looked like a head of broccoli. Lol It was so much food for the birthday girl! She enjoyed her food and had leftovers for 2 meals. Of course no trip to TCF is complete without cheesecake or some kind of dessert. We had lemon meringue and tiramisu cheesecake. We also had 2 chocolate cake slices. We came here on a Saturday night after my daughter's recital. The wait was 45 minutes for our party of 8. Our waitress was very nice and accommodating. For the food.....Do not, I repeat DO NOT get the fish and chips. The fish has absolutely no seasoning at all. Putting salt and pepper doesn't help either. The first time we got it, it was bland but thought....maybe the cook is having a bad day. We ordered it again and it was still horrible. I made a reservation a month in advance to celebrate my sister's birthday. The system only allowed me to book for 6 guests, even though our party was 11. I called ahead and was told the reservation could not be updated, and that I would need to inform the host the day of and expect an additional wait time. One of my friends arrived early to notify the host stand since the rest of us were traveling an hour to get there. She was told the wait would be about 30 minutes, which we thought was reasonable. However, we ended up waiting almost an hour and were then told they could not seat us together. The host informed me they would seat 5 at one table and 6 at another. Keep in mind, we had a 3:00 PM reservation for 6 and it was approaching 4:00 PM. Because it was my sister's birthday and she wanted to sit with her three friends, we adjusted ourselves and sat 7 at the table of 5. The remaining guests were called to the other side of the restaurant, even though there was an empty booth for 4 right beside us. A lady in our party spoke with the Black manager, who handled the situation beautifully. She personally cleaned off the booth and had their server move them over to sit near us. That level of leadership and customer care did not go unnoticed. Unfortunately, the hostess at the front seemed agitated, and one employee even stated out loud that it was almost time for her to go and she was ready, in a rude tone. No one in my party responded, and I chose not to either, but it was disappointing. Now let me shift the tone. Our server, Georgia (also known as Jordan), WAS AMAZING. Absolutely phenomenal. She turned the entire experience around. She created a custom drink for me, guided us through menu options we ended up loving, kept both tables clean, and never let our drinks go empty. She was attentive, kind, patient, and professional the entire time. She surprised my sister with ice cream and sang Happy Birthday, which meant so much. We were literally collecting tip money like we were at an auction because we wanted to bless her the way she blessed us. I am 41 years old, and she is hands down one of the best servers I have ever had. Despite the rocky start with the reservation and seating, Georgia made us forget every frustration. I stopped by recently on a whim for National Dessert Day. My friend and I ordered food and dessert. The service was great. Our waiter was very attentive and helped me decide on my entree. I picked the steak medallions from the skinnylicious menu. The dish was very flavorful and the perfect serving. My friend ordered the smashburger and Buffalo blasts as an appetizer. He said both were amazing. The cheesecake slices were half off this day as a reward members and were my friend's, who got them to go, but I know they were delicious as they always are. This used to be one of my favorite restaurants to go to however the service and food have gone a bit downhill. We started off with the truffle fries which were pretty good. It looked like a new menu item. When I was a server I always made sure that my customers drinks never got low. My son had sweet tea but it took a while to get a refill. He ended up getting the Mac and cheese burger and I got the 4 cheese lunch pasta. Their lunch portions are served until 5pm. When I visited the bathroom I got the last few pieces of toilet paper. It was obvious that no one was checking on the bathroom situation. We were able to get a table without a wait because it was a Friday afternoon. The pasta sauce was watery which was dissatisfying. My son did enjoy his burger. We ordered an Oreo dream cheesecake slice to go. The music was so loud I could barely hear my son. Please lower the music so people can have a nice peaceful meal. Pulled in and you could tell there was going to be a bit of a wait because people were waiting outside but, nevertheless wanted to try it out. So, wait staff was nice. Wait time was 25min but, I was able to dine in within 8 mins. I liked the decor on the walls and the cheesecake display had me melting . Such a variety in the display but also, the menu. So many flavors to choose from. And plenty of lunch and dinner options. I opted for appetizers to save room for a slice of cheesecake. I ordered the stuff mushrooms baked in this broth which was delicious . I enjoyed the spinach dip . My go to appetizer whenever I dine out . They had crab dip ..may have to try that next. Got home and opened my food to find that all of the sauce from my pasta leaked down into the bottom of the bag, totally saturating the box that my husband's flatbread was in. All four of our party likes their food: my daughters Mexican salad off the skinny menu was about two full servings and lovely with some big chunks of moist looking white chicken. She gave it a 4.5. Mine was also skinny at 550 calories but very tasty: Lemon Garlic shrimp with Angel Hair pasta & Al dente asparagus. The shrimp were a decent size but needed six instead of 5 to balance out the pasta. The taste was excellent though, 4.5+ of 5. Birthday person liked his Chicken Romano, a four of five and hubby was a bit disappointed that his Cajun pasta had very little spice. Otherwise, he did enjoy the mix of veggies, pasta and meat. They " no longer" give complimentary cheesecake for your birthday. That's why we came! So we ordered our bday person a piece of lemon merengue. It was lovely and delish. Service was very slow on getting our food but we got seated right away, slightly before our reservation time. One of our knives was really dirty so that is really inexcusable. The Birminham, Alabama Cheesecake Factory location is the worst location I've ever been to and I've eaten at quite a few locations from Ohio to Florida and Arizona. The food is not cooked to the same quality as in the other locations. The size of the Cheesecake has also gotten smaller on the cut and higher in price! We recently visited Birmingham and gave it another try. The food was good but the size of the Cheesecake left me stunned. It was cut sooo narrow it fell over, breaking off into two pieces. The management at this location is on top of it! The food we got was absolutely delicious. If you don't mind the crowds and waiting, this is a great place to go for holidays and special family occasions. We went for Father's Day and for my daughter-in-law's birthday with the whole family. My granddaughters were able to order from the kid's menu. You can never go wrong with that for children. I had a salad from the skinny menu. It was the same as the salad from the regular menu except that they cut down on the dressing. That made it something like 1000 calories less! Of course I destroyed my diet by sharing dessert. We ordered the Oreo Cookie Cheesecake. My granddaughter was awed by the inside decour. She paid attention to every little detail. The ambiance was one of grandeur. My Husband and I recently dined in at the Cheesecake Factory on HWY 280. I haven't been in very long time. Usually when I visit the Cheesecake Factory, I like the one in Atlanta, I've never been a fan of the one in Alabama. To begin with, we originally had plans for another restaurant but the kitchen had closed upon our arrival so I had the Cheesecake Factory as a back up just in case. I had heard about a menu revamp and just wanted to try them back out for curiosity. We got to the restaurant around 9:45pm, with closing hours of 11pm. We were immediately sitted. I gave environment four stars only because it was really cold inside the restaurant. Our waitress was Lizzie! Not only was she a beautiful soul/spirit inside out......she took amazing care of us!!! After asking to be seated outside on patio, she quickly came back to us to let us know that we could, we were advised to grab our menus and she would bring everything else (bread/our drinks, silverware). She brought us out refreshed beverages (not the original ones we had) and bread. We ordered an appetizer, which was the lettuce wrap chicken. It was really, really good. I would give them a 10/10. Lizzie was extremely attentive to us and was knowledgeable about the menu. Where my Husband and I were sat, it was quiet, cozy, and just a beautiful ambiance and night. Our food was served quickly with everything correct and came exactly like we ordered....no mishaps or mistakes. My Husband got the filet mignon medium well....this was his first time ordering his steak that way. He usually orders well done. I ordered the shrimp scampi with spaghetti noodles. My husband's steak was PERFECT. It was season sooooo good and he did not need the A1 sauce. They butterflied his steak (an option Lizzie offered us, never knew we could do that) and it made his portion look plentiful. My food honest to God melted in my mouth. It was sooo flavorful and delicious. The shrimp were huge and it was plenty. I was very impressed, over in awe of our visit to the Cheesecake Factory. My visit was above my expectations. They literally blew my mind from start to finish. Lizzie is definitely that girl!!!! Her service was unmatched!!!! Top tier everything. Because of this experience, I think the Cheesecake Factory has been placed in my Husband's and I top five Birmingham restaurants for date night rotation. Once we got inside though we checked in and waited again. The inside is so packed that I just felt in the way. We were seated outside which was nice. Our waiter Mason was super great! Very attentive and made sure my toddlers food got out asap. We did wait well over an hour for our food which was frustrating. It did all come out together which was good. I had the bbq chicken salad and it was really good. Well dressed and everything was super fresh. Overall it was fine. A mix of ancient Egyptian and Greek columns and carved structures with lord of the rings style lamp scotches and pastel overtones... Always a pleasure for the eyes to take in. The happy hour was the goal this visit. You just can't beat $9 appetizers and $6 margaritas. Soft delicious bread and salted butter... Salty sweet house margaritas and ice cold water with lemon for refreshments was to start. I ordered the nachos, avocado egg rolls and calamari. The nachos were crispy with lots of melted gooey cheese, shredded beef and slightly spicy jalapeños. The calamari was a slight miss. A bit too chewy and not crispy enough but the marinara still complemented it well. The avocado egg rolls are my all time top 3 fav items on their vast menu. They are creamy with a perfectly light wonton wrapper and tangy and spicy sauce. A must order every time I go! Cheesecake Factory always surprisingly over delivers on flavor and texture but over charges for it too.
