Shake shacks's burgers and fries are very tasty! I am just very sad they are so small, like bite size! They have a special sauce that goes perfectly with fries although I prefer ranch with my fries. The special sauce is similar to ranch or close enough for me to enjoy the fries :) The bun and the burger melts in your mouth the taste stays on your taste buds for you to enjoy and keep wanting to eat more. I love love love shake shack, and go to the one in Glendale ALL the time. I was super excited to hear that one opened up in Burbank!! Unfortunately, it smelled like sewer in here the whole time. I think they keep the door open and the sewer close by outside smells very very strong and seeps into the restaurant. It's an overwhelming smell you can't get over as you're trying to eat. I really hope they fix this. It's also different with the self ordering kiosks at the front where you pay with a chip. There's one cash line with a cashier. They text you when your order is ready. Super small location and cramped. The layout is inefficient and isn't as open as the other Shake Shacks. I think I'll stick to the Glendale location until they fix this nasty smell. read more

We popped in to see what all the fuss was about, and the manager, James, was very nice. We decided to grab dinner, and the "self service" kiosk was very buggy. The screen advised me a hospitality member was on their way over, but after 15 minutes of waiting I realized nobody was coming. I had to go up to the counter and wait to order. Very confusing and the food itself was very good, but not great, by any means. The manager noticed we weren't thrilled (my wife's burger oddly came without the requested pickles, and only a one inch squared sliver of lettuce), and came over to ask about our experience. Above and beyond service! I came in on a Saturday afternoon around 1pm for a pick-up order and was greeted by a friendly team member at the pick up location. I am so glad I believe her name was Annie helped me out professionally and friendly. I accidentally placed my order at the wrong location but it was quickly resolved when she helped me cancel the other location order and place a new one at the Burbank location. The hype has died down and it seems like they are in the swing of things. I placed my order via the mobile app and had a promo code for $6 off. I went to pick it up and was greeted with a smile. The workers were quick and friendly, and I even had the door opened for me as I left. I tried a few different things. I'll start with my fav, and it's not a burger. I loved the Chick'n Shack, and I know why. It was perfect pickle paradise. The chicken itself was thick and served hot, with the ever so slightest thin breading on it (not KFC-type coating). Then there were pickles. That created an extra crunch that just drove my textural senses wild. They say that it's a Buttermilk Herb Mayo on it, but I definitely felt like there was a little extra briny happiness to it. Maybe it had a strong dash of dill, which would indeed go well with the pickles. I can imagine that if you're itching for a plain chicken sandwich, you can get it without the pickles and/or spread. Like I mentioned, the chicken was good on its own. The Chick'n Bites were okay. Good for smaller appetites. The breading was the same non-dominating coating as the Chick'n Shack and decent for bite size. The Honey Mustard is good, too. I wanted to enjoy the Shack Stack, I really did. I love portobello mushrooms as a burger replacement, and deep frying it? That should have been the best one ever. The burger patty itself was thin, and there was a slight unexpected "musk" to the mushroom. Ya, I know mushrooms smell earthy, but this had something more. The Shack Sauce is pretty much a mayo & ketchup mix, so not quite like 1,000 Island and kind of generic, and it was only on half of my burger. But um, I really don't know how to say this, but I was befuddled by the physics and flavor of the "cheese". It's almost like it was part American Cheese and part cheese sauce. It was partially solid (properly melted onto the burger) and partially liquid (thick and oozy like nacho cheese sauce and it actually had the cheese-pull factor, but I can't for the life of me figure out how or why they did that). It barely tasted like real cheese, and parts of the oozy places appeared oily and opalescent (oily, white, and see-through?). I don't know what happened, but I'm still getting the icky chills thinking about it. I also ordered the Bacon & Cheese Fries to go. It's great that they package each ingredient separately, because then you don't get soggy fries. So the fries themselves aren't anything fab. They're crinkle cut. You can go to the grocery store and grab any crinkle fries from the freezer, throw it in the oven, and have the same thing at home. The cheese sauce for this, though, sparked the faintest of memories. It took me back to the early 2000's, when I was roller skating on late nights, and would swing by Jack In The Box on the way home. I was always ordering the Cheesy Bacon Potato Wedges, and this sauce is dang near the same exact recipe, right down to the color, cling-ability, and congealing properties. So, overall, I don't think I would go back on a frequent basis, and I probably wouldn't take my husband to try it. The mobile app ordering is convenient, and I agree with others that the price isn't worth the food (but hey, promo codes help with that aspect). One day, I might go back to try their concretes or shakes. Honestly, while there are some people who might compare Shake Shack, 5 Guys, Fuddruckers, etc to In & Out, there is a distinguishing difference between In & Out and everyone else. If I'm looking for a burger in this immediate area (walking distance) would take 5 Guys or Fuddruckers over Shake Shack. read more

The FIRST Valley location of Shake Shack (SS) is something to be celebrated indeed. One of the chief problems SS faces is that this is In 'Out Country. The problem with that is people don't realize good beef when they taste it. The hamburgers are delicious, hot and cooked to perfection with the delicious seasoning and creamy shake shack sauce. French fries put In 'N Out French fries to shame. There is no contest. Especially when you put cheese fries vs cheese fries. There was a small issue with the app and ordering stations on the day we visited. The manager, James was kind, accommodating and explained all of the issues to us. He even offered us a few coupons for our next visit. We will be coming back! My only negative comment about this location is I wish it were bigger. SS can expand! read more

We drove from the north and will leave LA right after the meal, so it was our only chance to have a bite at Shake Shack. We arrived just a few minutes before the store closed, I told Krystal (our cashier) that we drove crazily to catch their close at 10pm and it was my boyfriend's first try of Shake Shack, Krystal gave us some good recommendations with detailed explanation and offered us dine-in options for best taste (in that case we'd def stay over their close time at 10). Do NOT order for delivery! I used the app, as I have numerous times before, decided since I have a migraine, delivery would be perfect...WRONG! STARTED OUT OK, I got a text saying food was finished being prepared and was on its way! Yay, right? NOPE, WRONG! I live 1.3 miles from the location, it's been an hour and 25 minutes since I ordered the food and it's been 32 minutes THIRTY TWO MINUTES SINCE THE TEXT and still NO FOOD!! I ordered the Roadside Burger this time. It was ok. I am going back to the regular shake shack burger though because I feel the gravy/sauce in the Roadside Burger overwhelmed the burger. The fries are always good. My creamsicle float was good. It was a bit annoying to have to open each packet of ketchup when I use a ton of ketchup with my fries. They don't have towelettes there so bring your own so you can wipe your hands before and/or after your meal. I like ordering on the self order and self pay screens. I come and wait at 2:40, and I don't get the food until 3:12 p.m. And then the lady hands it to the wrong person even though I've already notified her to check on my order for me under me name already. I've always wanted to come to this place despite experiencing in n out, Popeyes and chick fil a. I would have to say that shake shack has to be the best! Easy access to ordering & it was fast (iPads) Environment is very clean and superb. The staff are very friendly and also very clean. The food felt like not to salty but not to bland compared to other fast food restaurants. Solid fast food spot and is definitely a step above any drive through fast food. We pretty consistently order Shake Shack to satisfy our burger cravings. I really enjoy the new avocado burger and love that you can get your burger lettuce wrapped. Milkshakes are also super yummy and are definitely a treat! Usually the quality of food is pretty good, although on occasion we have received way over cooked burgers, or the lettuce wrap doesn't fully wrap the burger. Also, you'll need to check any takeout orders ahead of leaving because we have had multiple occasions where items are missing (no bacon, no cheese, missing drink for delivery). We still love Shake Shack but wish that the food packers at this location were more thorough. Four stars for food and taste, but knocked off a star for inconsistency in quality & missing items. read more

The bacon cheese fries were burnt and they barely gave me any cheese and bacon. Then the Chicken sandwich I requested it to have the herb Mayo on the side. When I first went to Shake Shack, it was actually in Washington DC, their were none in CA at the time. I couldn't believe how their shake shack burger packed so much flavor in a small burger. When this placed opened in Burbank, my goodness it was great! Better than what I remembered. This place is popular with families & teens. Very chill atmosphere. Recently an employee was wearing a cute apron with flying burgers all over it. I'm much impressed with the staff at this Shake Shack! I recently ventured to try the Smokey bacon burger, but next time I'll just stick to the original shake shack burger. Didn't like the red peppers in it. I'm here for their chicken. The Chicken Nuggets are reallllllllly good - like I prefer these to chick fil a's nuggets ( gasp* I know) but it's the truth. The chicken nuggets are savory, juicy, and addictively delicious. They have a soft but light crunch burst of flavor when bitten into. Highly recommend pairing them with a root beer. Sadly I'm allergic to dairy so I can't comment on their milk shakes, but damn they look delicious. ::Quarantine Review:: Delivery is really fast with minimal mistakes on orders. Great meal for those lazy days or nights. Packaging is really nice with minimal plastic waste. Kinda wish they would staple shut the orders bags to ensure no tampering during delivery. This has been a go-to during the shut down and we have never had an issue before but this last time was awful. Ordered at 5:53. Gives a pick up of 6:02. Get there at 6:04. Was told by staff they were almost done. Then they were bagging it. Then I was told that they can find a burger. Then, I was told that my all my food accidentally got bagged up with someone else's?? And that they had to remake everything. Would take 5-7 minutes. They bring out my food. But no shake. Wait more time for that. And a lot of other people's food was coming out after I was told they had to remake everything. So the mess up was not even prioritized. Finally left with food at 6:32, 30 MIN after my original pick up time. The food was good. However, I can't do that again with 2 kids at home that have set feeding schedules. This place deserves zero stars but unfortunately that is not possible. I visited this shake shack at around 2:00 pm today with my son and daughter. We are big fans of shake shack and are always visiting the Woodland Hills location, however, I came to this one specifically as I noticed it was a much closer distance from my house. Sadly my family and I will never be back. We ordered food at the cashier and it went very smoothly. We also ordered fountain drinks and filled them up and sat down. My son had left his IPad on the counter next to the cashier box and when I noticed, him and I went up to grab it. Shortly after, an employee came up to us and was looking at my son and his tablet. She left and whispered something to the manager. The manager had asked her to check if my son had taken their work tablet. After this, the shift manager Wendy came up to our table and demanded we give her my sons tablet. She tried taking it while letting us know it was her property and that we cannot have it. I explained to her that it was my sons, and even showed her the name under "Settings" and even the unique sticker on the back of it. She kept telling me to give it immediately, and even put her hands on it trying to take it from me. I felt so angry and embarrassed at the moment, as she had made myself and my family feel like thieves. Her attitude was extremely disrespectful and she lacked professionalism. When I found out she was the shift manager, I was extremely disappointed knowing that she was in charge after acting the way she did with her customers. I have never been treated this way at any dine-in restaurant, especially not at a Shake Shack. After realizing that she was wrong, she apologized and tried offering us a refund on our meal, which I declined, and I asked her to leave us alone. After that, three employees came up and apologized for her behavior, as they acknowledged she was completely in the wrong. I did appreciate this, but I still will not be back. I feel the need to share my experience on here, as well as to my friends and the rest of my family because I do not want them to go through the same experience I did. read more

I have been wanting to try this place for a good while. It looks amazing on Instagram; well, I was disappointed. It is pricey for what you get, which at most is average. I got a milkshake as well, it was okay, can't really mess up a milk shake to be honest. Another reason I was unhappy with my visit was the rude customer service. I absolutely love Shake Shack, but f-- this location. Seriously. They have done away with the menu boards, forcing you to order from a row of kiosks. Sorry, but I am DONE with restaurants forcing an all-digital service experience. When I take the time to go to a restaurant I like looking at the menu, seeing what's seasonal or new, and deciding what I want. It is impossible to do that on a phone or kiosk swiping through tiny pictures. Hell, I hate doing it on food-delivery apps.
