We sat outside this time which had some nice ceiling heating lamps that did the job. The free garlic rolls were warm , soft, and buttery: never fails. We ordered the killer wings for our appetizer- QTY 10 and it came with some carrots and celery. They were drenched in a tangy buffalo sauce. For our entrees we ordered the classic burger and the BBQ combo - 2 items. We went with the BBQ ribs and tri tip. This also comes with two sides. It's a pretty good deal for the amount of food you get. Btw you can order your burger "protein style" with no bun. I like their coleslaw here too- it has peanuts and is more of a vinegar base than mayo base. Down during the week and got seated right away. The food was delicious and tasty. The rolls are delicious. The restaurant soon filled up and was a little noisy. We received the bill and the server came back with that lovely tablet. She processes my card and hard coded 20% to the bill. The server held that tablet tight and it was hard to enter any information. She mentioned that she can't leave it on the table. I went here on December 21, 2022 on my dad's b-day .I ordered the beef ribs if I remember correctly. They looked kinda burnt. Tasted a little burnt too but that's because they're pecan wood-smoked. It came with two signature sides. The sides were original peanut coleslaw and Idaho baked potato. The peanut coleslaw was unlike other coleslaw I've had, the peanut made it crunchy. I've been coming to Woodranch for well over 10 years and it's continued to be one of my favorite chain restaurants. You can't go wrong with anything you choose but my go to order is the fire roasted half chicken with the French fries and mac&cheese. The fries are perfectly crispy, the Mac has just the right amount of cheese and the chicken is always so juicy. The bbq chopped salad is also great if you're looking for something lighter. The dining room is big and an adjacent bar which is pretty sizable and a great outdoor patio so you have a ton of options for seating. Well this really makes me sad to review this low on a place I had been wanting to try for a while now. I had been craving a ribeye steak this week and we finally went and I chose Wood Ranch. We went to an early dinner after a movie around 4:30ish so the wait was not bad at all. The restaurant was nice and quiet which I liked. We had already seen the menu so we knew what we wanted to order. We decided to share the ribeye with loaded mashed potatoes and a beef rib with a side of mac and cheese. We first started with the artichoke and spinach dip and that was really tasty. Not too long after we finished the appetizer we got our plates. The steak looked really delicious. We ordered it medium. Which was cooked perfectly. The steak was very delicious but could have used a bit more salt and pepper for my taste and didn't seem to be as juicy of a steak as I'm used too. The mashed potatoes were a little too dry for me, not enough butter or cream. They were supposed to be loaded and all it had was cheese and bacon. The beef rib was delicious but I forgot to order with no barbecue sauce and I felt like it had way too much much sauce also for my liking. But it was cooked perfectly and the meat would just fall off the bone. I'm glad I came in to try but it wasn't what I expected. read more

I came for dinner on a Saturday night around 7pm in a group of 4; we were told to wait 45 minutes to an hour so we went to walk around the area. Then we got a text after 30 minutes that our table was already ready. They use an internal waitlist system (not Yelp or other waitlist services) so you can't really see how many parties are ahead of you. Needless to say, they do a fast job seating, so don't let the wait time discourage you. We were thrilled by the refillable (?) garlic bread buns (?)! They were very tasty and garlicky. We ordered salads to share and a combo meat plate (comes with two meats and two sides). The ribs were delicious, with a great BBQ sauce - would recommend it. We also had brisket which was also very tasty. They gave us only a few ounces of the brisket for the combo plate, so if you want a larger portion of meat then the full servings would probably be best. Finally, drinks were delish!! Came for my mother-in-law's birthday today, decided to try something different. Went with their Ribeye medium well, with a side of Lauren's Favorite Mac & Cheese and Sweet Potato Fries. I'm so sad to say, but the Ribeye was lacking flavor. It had plenty of flavor on top, but not all around the meat. The sadder part is the meat was perfectly cooked, had a nice sear on it, and it looked promising. I would find myself mixing the meat with my Mac & cheese to give it a more flavorful bite. Mac & cheese and Sweet Potato Fries were really good! Garlic rolls still delicious! Warm, soft, and buttery. They don't miss. Service was quick and attentive. A++, Ambiance was nice, surprisingly very quiet, soft lighting, very soothing ambiance. I would still recommend this spot, maybe it was a bad timing for the steak. I used to really enjoy Wood Ranch and had previously rated it highly. The food was consistent, the BBQ was flavorful, and overall it felt like a reliable go-to. Unfortunately, my recent large delivery order told a different story and not a good one. The tri tip was the biggest disappointment: extremely fatty, difficult to chew, and lacked the tenderness and balance you'd expect from a place that prides itself on BBQ. The caesar salad was no better with old brown wilted lettuce that made it feel like it had been sitting too long. What made this especially frustrating is that I know Wood Ranch can do better. Like many others, I've had great meals here in the past. But based on this recent order, the quality has slipped. One thing I love is sitting in a booth with an iced tea and this place is perfect for that. I went on a Sunday afternoon and it was packed but we got seated relatively quickly. Service was great and they have a very large food and drink menu. I had the baby back ribs, you can get a 5 count portion which was perfect for me, with Mac and cheese and a baked potato. I was super excited to come to wood ranch again after the one by my house was closed. The service itself was great! We were immediately greeted by the host and seated. The server came by shortly after and took our drink order. The place wasn't too busy for lunch but there were maybe four other parties, plus people sitting at the bar. The bread roll - 2/5. I feel like they would've been better but they were definitely not fresh. It was kind of tough! I think maybe if we came when it was busy, it would've been fresh. But I was dissatisfied with the free bread rolls. The caesar salad - 4/5. I think the salad was probably my favorite part of this meal. I do think they put a little too much dressing though. The cheeseburger slider - 5/5. This was probably my favorite! Can't go wrong with this. Bbq tri-tip slider - 4/5. The meat was pretty good, I just wasn't really a fan of how they seasoned it. I would definitely recommend the cheeseburger slider. Our server, Harrison, skillfully guided us through the menus, sharing his favorites, tips, and tricks (save a roll for when you get some bbq sauce so you can dip it ;) ). The WR chain has pretty consistent service at their various locations. The Burbank location is no exception. It can get pretty noisy and crowded at this location with long wait times. So come early for dinner especially on weekends. The baby back ribs are a favorite. We also like their roast 1/2 chicken and salads. Many of their appetizers are very good. Getting the combo meals with 2 items does not reduce the quantity like at other places. The steamed vegetables are very consistent, but the quality of the grilled ones varies per visit. On this visit Julia helped us and she offered some of the most excellent service we have had recently. If you want BBQ and a nice sit down meal at a nice chain restaurant for a special occasion, just a night out, or family or friends dinner WR is an excellent choice. read more
