I've been coming here since I was a kid, & being in my 30's now coming here it still holds the same outstanding flavorful food quality. My go to order is their grilled chicken breast, or their tri tip 7 oz with the side of sweet mash & Mac n cheese -- it hits every time! I am obsessed with their sweet mash it's a must have for me. I highly advise you to ask for the garlic bread rolls with bbq sauce on the side 10/10 !!! The service at this location was very pleasant. From the host, to our server, everything was top tier each time we visited. The location is extremely well up kept, clean, & everyone works & moves very organized. I love that. I work in restaurant management so seeing this when I go out is a green flag for me. Will definitely be back soon! The service was cool, however they did mess up my order and I was already starting to eat. They said I had to give up the other plate even though the salmon was cooked wrong it still was looking satisfying!!! The potatoes were better though than my new salmon plate. Showed up on a Friday night during the World Cup, and the place was packed. There was no seating available without a long wait, so we ended up eating at the bar. The bartender "Myra" was great and the people around us were pleasant, which helped the experience. The food itself was just OK, and one of the dishes came with a burnt corn on the cob. For the prices they charge, the quality didn't match. I'm not sure how this place has four stars -- it feels more like a 2.5 to 3-star experience.It's disappointing because the employees were genuinely nice, but the food didn't live up to the hype. read more

Consistently good BBQ! The ribs here fall off the bone and the tritip is so good. The mac and cheese is super gooey and pretty yum and the peanut coleslaw is also very good. I really enjoy the bread here I hate to admit but it's just so good fresh out of the oven. It can get busy on weekends with up to an hour wait but usually it's no more than 15-20 min. There's a parking structure directly behind the restaurant and also another across the street. They have a full bar with TVs if you want to catch the game and patio seating as well. We had an absolutely wonderful experience at Wood Ranch for my boyfriend's birthday. We came in pretty late, around 8:30 PM with a reservation and from the moment we arrived, everyone was so kind and welcoming. Our server was fantastic (I hope I remembered his name!) He was very attentive, patient, and genuinely helpful. They accommodated us outside so we could have our dog with us. He was a little nervous and ended up barking a bit, so we really appreciated how understanding and patient everyone was. The food was delicious and cooked perfectly. We were probably a little more needy than we intended to be with all the little things we asked for, but everything we requested was taken care of without hesitation and with such a great attitude. I went here on December 21, 2022 on my dad's b-day .I ordered the beef ribs if I remember correctly. They looked kinda burnt. Tasted a little burnt too but that's because they're pecan wood-smoked. It came with two signature sides. The sides were original peanut coleslaw and Idaho baked potato. The peanut coleslaw was unlike other coleslaw I've had, the peanut made it crunchy. Well this really makes me sad to review this low on a place I had been wanting to try for a while now. I had been craving a ribeye steak this week and we finally went and I chose Wood Ranch. We went to an early dinner after a movie around 4:30ish so the wait was not bad at all. The restaurant was nice and quiet which I liked. We had already seen the menu so we knew what we wanted to order. We decided to share the ribeye with loaded mashed potatoes and a beef rib with a side of mac and cheese. We first started with the artichoke and spinach dip and that was really tasty. Not too long after we finished the appetizer we got our plates. The steak looked really delicious. We ordered it medium. Which was cooked perfectly. The steak was very delicious but could have used a bit more salt and pepper for my taste and didn't seem to be as juicy of a steak as I'm used too. The mashed potatoes were a little too dry for me, not enough butter or cream. They were supposed to be loaded and all it had was cheese and bacon. The beef rib was delicious but I forgot to order with no barbecue sauce and I felt like it had way too much much sauce also for my liking. We came here as a large party to celebrate a birthday. We could not have had worse service. Our server was incredibly rude, dismissive, and acted like he hated his life. He never asked if anyone wanted additional drinks, never checked in with us on our meals, and ignored our birthday guest, failing to bring a small dessert and candle despite it being a standard to do so. It honestly just feels like an extremely big family gathering - big-ish portions, lots of meat and greasy food, extremely bustling and somewhat chaotic in a homey sense. Lol. I came for dinner on a Saturday night around 7pm in a group of 4; we were told to wait 45 minutes to an hour so we went to walk around the area. Then we got a text after 30 minutes that our table was already ready. They use an internal waitlist system (not Yelp or other waitlist services) so you can't really see how many parties are ahead of you. Needless to say, they do a fast job seating, so don't let the wait time discourage you. We were thrilled by the refillable (?) garlic bread buns (?)! They were very tasty and garlicky. We ordered salads to share and a combo meat plate (comes with two meats and two sides). The ribs were delicious, with a great BBQ sauce - would recommend it. We also had brisket which was also very tasty. They gave us only a few ounces of the brisket for the combo plate, so if you want a larger portion of meat then the full servings would probably be best. Finally, drinks were delish!! On Saturday, August 22nd, my son and older brother and I went to wood ranch in Burbank. I am not someone who likes leaving. Negative reviews, but I feel this needs to be addressed. My son became extremely sick after eating hair with intense vomiting and a high fever. It was honestly frightening to watch. He has now missed 2 days of work and is still recovering. I reported what happened to the restaurant. The next day Sunday, August 23rd I wasn't looking to cause problems or make accusations. I simply wanted to make them aware and give them an opportunity to investigate. I expected someone would follow-up with me. But no one did I call today? Tuesday, August 25th I still have heard nothing. The woman I spoke to was polite, but repeatedly said, I'm sorry I wasn't in until today. I completely understand that. But what concerns me is that apparently no one else followed up or felt there was any urgency. Thankfully, my son is healthy and is not fully recovered. But feels maybe just a little better. But watching him, that sick made me think about what could happen. If this were a small child, an elderly person or someone with health issues, that is what really concerns me. I was told someone would call me back after checking the food logs. I hope they do I am not looking for a fight or trying to threaten anyone. I simply wanted the restaurant to take my concern seriously. And look into what happened. Unfortunately, having to call back myself 2 days later, because no one reached out has left me extremely disappointed. When someone reports a potentially serious food-related illness, there should be a sense of urgency and follow-up. We have been here many times and it's so much better now that they take reservations! We had stopped going there due to the long wait times and mixed seating results now it's a pleasure. We had excellent service when we came a couple months ago and I wish I could remember the server's name, because he was excellent. This time we had Gitari, and he was also excellent. Since we had extraordinarily bad service the night before at a similar type of restaurant, it was a pleasure to come here the next day and have everything go really well. Further proof that the service makes all the difference in the world for how you experience any restaurant. We started with fried onions, which are always amazing. We each ordered something completely different for the main course and both were delicious. We shared a dessert and I asked for a modification and Gitari said "I got you" and indeed he did! The peach crisp was so much better after that modification. Anything we asked, Gitari made it happen and his enthusiastic professionalism truly enhanced the meal and elevated it.
