I always order the same order which is perfect for me: A hamburger, onions, tomatoes, and of course Shack Sauce! The fries are pretty good. They have the crinkle cut, I compare the style to Del Taco. The crinkle cut is the superior french fry and Shake Shack does it well. Occasionally I will add the extra hot fries (seasoned to be spicy) as they add a different flavor. A must get: the root beer. Something about it makes it some of the best. This restaurant is very COVID friendly as the process is smooth and avoids congestion. You order on one of their stands, put your number, and then go outside and wait. When the bag comes out it is packaged with the drink and food enclosed together. Feels very safe. read more

I had a gift card to Shake Shack. I tried to order online. Payment was declined over and over. Turns out that they changed their gift cards or something and so the system would no longer accept the card. I just paid for my meal. Then I called customer service. They explained the situation. They promised to send me a new gift card that would work (which they did), and as an apology emailed me another number for a gift card. Fast forward a month. I spend time getting ready to order again. The new gift card doesn't work. The number they sent me doesn't work. I've now wasted over an hour of time dealing with their system, which doesn't work. I have to admit I was not too fond of the HotChick'n Sandwich or Chick'n Bites but the Shack Burger and regular cheeseburger are so addicting. The burger patties are made of tender juicy Angus beef. Why 5 stars? I had Shake Shack burgers for three consecutive days since their opening day. Yes part of my burger was super salty on the first day, luckily missed pouring it in the entire burger. On the 2nd and 3rd visit the burgers were perfect. If SS staff is reading this i strongly suggest to perform random should do a taste test and make sure the food is consistent and not overly salted. They were a bit late with our order but really, during such an unusual time in this world the last thing I'm going to complain about is my Smoke Shack, Cheese Fries (cheese on the side for to go meals, k I can deal with that) and Root Beer being 6min after my confirmed mobile pick up time. Very grateful they are open and preparing meals for people. Happy to have ordered, had my fav burger to eat in the car parked outside of their location. I probably wouldn't frequent this location typically but it's one of the nearest to us for a to go order. Social-Distancing Review# 2 Open for take-out. The place was deserted when we arrived. It was last Sunday afternoon, almost 1 pm. No cash payments accepted. Order via their app or at one of their kiosks inside. The kiosks are set up for social distancing: only every other kiosk is turned on. Since it was just my family and I (a party of 3) when we were there, I don't know how they will monitor the social distancing when more patrons arrive at the same time. Tonight was the 4th time ordering here @ the Burbank location. The burgers and bacon cheese fries are very tasty! Especially those fries! One thing though, if you tend to order double cheeseburgers check your burger before leaving if you order take out. All 4 times I have ordered through the app I have ordered double cheeseburgers and every single time they give me a single... I know I could loose some weight and I'm better off going with a single but if I order and pay for a double that's what I should be given! Thanks to finally learning lesson, I checked my order before driving off and sure enough they gave me a single again, lol!!! The manager that helped me when I came back in with my burger was very quick to address my issue. She immediately had the crew in the back make me a new DOUBLE cheeseburger and told me to keep the single. She was also kind enough to provide ms with a few free burger coupons which I appreciated. Moral of this story is check your order before leaving with your food and if they get it wrong (many times over) just speak with a manager and be polite about it. I wish I would have gotten her name but thank you Ms Manager for talking to the crew about paying better attention to the orders coming in and taking care of me as well. Menu: Gochujang Chicken Sandwich: chicken was a little dry but the crust was not soggy from the "gochujang" sauce. The supposedly sweet, spicy, umami sauce tasted similar to sweet and sour sauce with no spiciness (and I would know because I'm a spice wimp). The kimchi cole slaw was just cole slaw with the slightest bit of pickled flavor if tasted on its own Chick'n Bites: similar to the sandwich but less dry. The sauce on the side had the tiniest bit of spice in it but I wouldn't call it spicy. This location has an option to order at the counter or just order at one of their kiosks. Of course I chose the kiosk. Double Shack Burger($6) Cheese fries crinkle cut($4) Cookies n cream shake($4.50). It's a pretty pricey meal but the quality and flavor makes it worth that price! Burger cooked perfectly, fresh veggies(didn't get extra.. sorry Sara hahah), cheese on the fries didn't taste cheap. Just wish the meal was cheap lol.. They have a big variety of burgers and shakes, but also do chicken and hot dogs, vegan option too. My friend ordered vegan, looked.... interesting. But that og classic shack burger is the way to go. Before taking the 6 hour drive home, I wanted to grab some Shake Shack cheese fries so my friend and I decided to stop at this location since it was the closest one we were going to drive past. This location is right on the corner of a popular street so we thought parking was going to be a nightmare but luckily we found one not to far from the restaurant. We were greeted by an employee who handed us menus but it didn't take too long for us to decide what we wanted. After a few short seconds, we decided on the following: -cheesefries -regular fries -smoke shack burger We originally wanted to stay and eat there but when I took a seat, the people sitting in front of my noticed that there was a cockroach right behind a bench near the door. Now, it was just one and it was by the door. It could have easily walked in through the door but my friend wanted to take our food to go after that. This was my first time trying Shake Shake. The place was crowded but there were still tables available, so I decided to dine-in. Upon entering you will see a bank of kiosks on the right. The kiosks make it easy to scan over the menu , while deciding what to order. There were a few people in front of me but the cashier did a nice job keeping the line moving. I settled on the single stack burger and cheese fries. I was given a number to place on my table and after a short wait, my order was brought to my table. My first impression of the burger was how small it was. I immediately regretted not getting something bigger. My burger looked like a slider. I think I wiped it out in three bites. I wasn't sure what the green stuff was on my bun, either. Hopefully not mold (see picture) . I peeled it off just in case. The burger had a nice flavor and definitely a step above fast food chain burgers. The cheese fries were the highlight. Definitely worth every penny. The staff was friendly. The place was clean. The food was above average. I'll definitely go back and try different items. If you have a hearty appetite, get the biggest burger on the menu. The single won't cut it. Parking on the street is a challenge. I recommend parking in the structure behind the restaurant. read more

First time trying out Shake Shack. As soon as you walk in, you'll see a whole bunch of tablets on a table where you can place your order. It was pretty simple to use and you can pay right there with your mobile phone or a chip card. When the order is ready, you'll get a text to pick it up at the counter. If you want to order the old fashioned way, you can also walk up to the counter and talk to a real person. The decor of the place was pretty neat, going with a woodsy and green theme. Restrooms are located towards the back of the building to the right, it's clearly marked with the bright white people symbol (it's also to the right of the order/pickup counter). The tables are made from reclaimed bowling lanes; that was kinda cool. There's also several TVs on the wall. On to the food. I ordered the SmokeShack and a drink. The size of the burger was a lot smaller than I expected. The taste was decent and it had a very slight kick due to the peppers. In my opinion, it felt a bit pricey for the burger. They also serve hot dogs and chicken; I might consider trying that next time. Overall, there wasn't anything "wow" about the experience. Contact with the staff members was minimum other than picking up the food when it was ready. The burger was decent and the place was fairly clean. read more

My 1st visit to Shake Shack...been hearing a lot of buzz about this place for some time and finally made it in. Overall, I give it 4 stars with 5 star potential now that I know what I would request for my order next time. The burger was pretty juicy and was fresh made (none of this frozen hockey puck stuff). The fries were crispy crinkle cut. I would still want to try their fried chicken sandwich. As for the burger...I would likely order a double next time with bacon and see if they would toast my bun for some texture. Then when they started opening here in southern California I had to try it. The first time I had it at Glendale location I wasn't impressed. Nothing like the one I had in New York. The burgers taste good and they are really juicy. I like their sauce on the burgers. It gives the burger a lot of flavor. I always get the Shake Shack cheeseburger. It's my favorite out of everything else. Prices are high for the size of the burger you get. We ordered two cheeseburgers, one fries and one small drink For $18.92. I'm told that the meat they use is fresh and grassfed, so if that's the case then I understand the prices. Good customer service at this location. Friendly and attentive staff. Really disappointed with the decline in food quality. The last time I came, the customer service was on point, and the burger was oozing with chewy goodness. Sadly, tonight was not the case. I ordered the Shake Shack Shroom Burger and my bf got the SmokeShack. Both of our patties were over cooked and burnt, and my portobello was ridiculously oily and I could tell it was refried. I couldn't even finish eating my burger because I was so dissatisfied. For $10 burgers, the quality should be way better and consistent for that matter. The 'spicy fries' were just a handful of Ore-Ida crinkle cut oven fries; crispy on the tips, soggy in the middle. Though the kick of cayenne was nice. I'm a fan of NYC's Shake Shack so it's nice to see they are making their way out west- this new Burbank location is one of quite a few new outposts of the burger and shakes chain. Today I decided to check it out after a visit to the Burbank mall and a couple neighboring shops in San Fernando. This Shake Shack is next to the Hawaiian food place Moana, and a block away from Starbucks- nice central location for after the movies at AMC or a trip to the mall. I went a bit before 5 pm so seating was plentiful, and my order was ready in a few minutes. They have several IPads to place your order, which was an easy process. I ordered my standard Chicken Shack and cheese fries- both excellent quality like the original location I visit in Manhattan. The worker at pick up was friendly as well. We have heard from many people how delicious Shake Shack is, so when we saw one as we drove through Burbank, we had to check it out. We didn't order from the counter, but from the computer, which was convenient because we could see pictures of everything. I was surprised at how expensive everything was, but figured the portions would be decent sized because so many people had said it was so good. Our kids all chose grilled cheese sandwiches, and my husband and i chose cheeseburgers. The grilled cheese were $4.09 each, and the size of them was depressing. They were honestly a fine size for my kids, but they were extremity expensive for the size of them. We also ordered French fries and cheese fries. The food was good, nothing spectacular, I was just completely shocked at the price, nothing seemed spectacular enough to justify the cost. We really wanted to try the frozen custard, but we had already spent too much money. The restaurant was clean, as was the bathroom. After wanting to try Shake Shack for so long, I finally pulled the trigger and went for my first time today. The interior was suprisingly chic for a fast food joint, with beautiful plant decor that covers the main wall of the dining area and rustic wooden tables/seats (fun fact: the tables are made out of reclaimed bowling lanes, which I appreciate for their efforts at sustainability!) For our grub, we got the: - ShackBurger (9/10): This being the first item on the menu, I thought it would be a good classic to try. The beef patty was delicious (in my opinion, way better meat than In-N-Out), it was charred nicely and had so much flavor to it. I was surprised by how soft and fluffy the bun was. But for $6.29, it is a bit steep for a small burger. - SmokeShack (9.5/10): I was impressed by this one! The applewood-smoked bacon compliments the beef so so well! It tasted amazing and made more sense for the price. -Buffalo Spiced Fries (9/10): I was delighted to see that this was a new item on the menu! I'm not the biggest fan of crinkle-cut fries, since they are thick & hard to make crispy, but these were nicely crispy! The buffalo seasoning isn't spicy at all, but adds nice flavor to the fries. The ranch served with it is really really good :) Overall, I know that the reason for their prices are due to the quality of their ingredients so I would say that the costs are justifiable. I have only been to this Shake Shack location so I can't compare to any other locations, but the service here was super attentive and friendly. They all made themselves avaliable for any questions or concerns we might have. In regards to the food, it was really good, but a little over priced. We ordered a regular cheeseburger, one of their mushroom burgers, a plain hot dog, two drinks and cheese fries. It was over $30 and I left still hungry. Even if I did feel it was a tad overpriced I can't deny the quality of the food. The burger tasted fresh and was juicy and flavorful. The fries were great, some of the best fast food I've had. The mushroom burger was a unique experience, a fried mushroom stuffed with cheese, I've never seen anything like that. I would skip the hot dog though. I love love love shake shack, and go to the one in Glendale ALL the time. I was super excited to hear that one opened up in Burbank!! Unfortunately, it smelled like sewer in here the whole time. I think they keep the door open and the sewer close by outside smells very very strong and seeps into the restaurant. It's an overwhelming smell you can't get over as you're trying to eat. I really hope they fix this. It's also different with the self ordering kiosks at the front where you pay with a chip. There's one cash line with a cashier. They text you when your order is ready. Super small location and cramped. The layout is inefficient and isn't as open as the other Shake Shacks. I think I'll stick to the Glendale location until they fix this nasty smell. read more
