Today we were with friends that live nearby. I enjoyed this burger but I enjoyed the scoop of chocolate custard more! Naturally I don't get tomato on my burger because of my allergies. You have to request lettuce and onions if you want them. My daughter has tomato and lettuce and naturally we love Cheese Burgers. If I'm lucky she will share a couple of her fries with me. I'm recommending this location on 125th Street if you want a quick burger option. I ordered through DoorDash, and never received my order, I placed my order online around 6:15, 8:30pm and I still haven't received it, I tried contacting DoorDash and they showed me a delivery that was made in another building. Came across a promotion that encouraged me to try out the Shackburger, so hit up my neighborhood Shake Shack. Noted that the app had an option to choose "Well Done" but I'm at best a "Medium Well" type of guy. Ordered to pick up with a side of fries at 4 PM. Arrived early and told my order was not yet up. It did appear as requested at 4 sharp. The result: The fries were disappointing at room temperature and definitely not worth $4.49. The Shackburger's not huge, smashed patty was tepid, overcooked, dry, and lost in whatever else was part of it. Wondering if by choosing "Well Done" does the patty come in an urn. Does Shake Shack think at all the other Shackburger components, like a potato bun and their ShackSauce, offset enough their disappointing, mishandled, nominal patty and justify the $7.49 price? My reco after giving Shake Shack a chance at different locations recently - this chain lost their burger mojo, avoid their burgers and side dishes. (Noted the app didn't have any loyalty deals and I can understand why.) It's probably Shake Shack's shakes people should stick to. The food is still good, but the customer service here has really gone downhill. I walked in, and the person behind the cashier did not look up or even acknowledge that I was there for several minutes. When he finally speaks, there is no hello, just "are you paying cash, you can order at the kiosk. " I went to the kiosk since it appeared that he could not be bothered to take the order. I asked him if he knew what was in the black truffle sauce, and the response was, "Not really." Shouldn't the employees know what is in a product that is being advertised and promoted? No complaints here! This restaurant is kept very tidy and orders are quick, accurate, and tasty. A group of 7 of us placed orders ahead on the app and the food was ready within 10 minutes! The burgers are incredible as always. So juicy and flavorful. Make sure you get a side of that Shack sauce. The shroom burger is so good. It's the best fried mushroom you will have, and the inside is stuffed with melty cheese. The fries are easily some of the best. The fries are double fried which gives a really coarse and crunchy exterior while being incredibly soft on the inside. I personally use that side of extra Shack sauce with the fries! read more

Great place to satisfy a greasy cheeseburger and fries craving. Unfortunately, there was a mix up with my order, and I received someone else's order. I called Shake Shack and the woman who answered the phone was pretty nice and helpful. However, it was very hard to understand her because the restaurant's phone was cracking/breaking up during the phone call. I'm not sure if the mixup was a Shake Shack thing or a Grubhub thing. Me and my friend work up the block and come here about once a week. im not sure why there is never anyone at the register and we had to wait for and wave someone over to us...he walked up with an annoyed look.. Super happy a shake shack has opened relatively close to me. Keeping in line with most other locations, the service (and lines) were on par. This location does seem to have a larger dining room, which is great as there is usually always somewhere to sit. They dining room staff are constantly cleaning tables and making additional room. I ordered a shack burger and fries, my typical go to. This location was offering new chicken nuggets and I couldn't fight off my curiosity, so I caved in and ordered a 6 piece. The burger was delicious, per usual, but I was really blown away by the nuggets. They were juicy, white, breast meat seasoned to perfection. I believe there were only two sauces offered, BBQ and Honey Mustard (is like to see that expanded). All in all, I'm happy I ordered them. Pro tip: stay away from the lemonades. Shake Shack is truly in Harlem! Yeah there is an outpost on 116th and Broadway but that's not really Harlem. Can't really get more Harlem than 1 West 125th St. If you've been to one Shake Shack you've kind have gone to them all. It looks like most other shacks with dark wood color and industrial accents. Its in the old Applebees space so it's pretty roomy. Service on day one was pretty quick. Lots of extra hand on deck to deal with issues. While they are known for burgers, fries and shakes (aka concretes), they also make a good chicken sandwich (which I got). Their prices are a little more competitive than Harlem Shake - battle for burger supremacy on 125th is on! All in all, had a great experience and meal today. I usually could care less about service, as I find it to be a lost cause in the city but these guys were really exceptional and exactly what I needed after a long grueling day at work. This is my first time having the vegetarian Shroom Shake Shack Burger and I loved it!!! I'm not a fan of mushrooms BUT trust me you won't even realize it's a mushroom. The burger is made with melty munster cheese INSIDE w/ the mushroom, which is phenomenal. That's the only reason why this joint is a winner in my eyes, otherwise there is limited items for vegetarians. I found the fries too salty, and didn't really explore the desserts. My boyfriend told me a new Shake Shack opened around East Harlem, so we decided to try it out! We noticed even though it just opened a few days ago, it was packed! Thankfully people were eating quickly, so tables were opening up left and right. We went up and I ordered a regular burger, while my boyfriend ordered his Shack Burger. With over 50 people in the restaurant, it was loud, so the waitress had us repeat our order several times in order to get it correct. She gave us a remote that would buzz when our order is ready, so we could pick it up in a separate area. We sat down, and within 15 minutes, our order was ready! I looked at our two burgers and it looked like 2 Shack Burgers, which are basically cheeseburgers. I didn't mind having the extra cheese, although this wasn't what I ordered. The burger was crisp especially around the edges. However, the middle was tender. I loved the tanginess of the Shake Shack sauce as well! I'm glad there were some vegetables to neutralize the savoriness of the burger and cheese. Shake Shack has never disappointed me, and I'm glad one opened up in Harlem! Although I love my 86th street location, I have to say that this location hands down was the best I've been to so far. They had seats available and it wasn't crazy packed like most locations, which I hate because I'm usually always by myself when I'm visiting Shack Shack, and it makes it hard for one to find a table. That was not the case here. This location they have a more open floor concept so everything seemed to flow better. It was clean, and they made sure someone was around to keep it that way. My food was fast, hot, and delicious. My lil chicken bites had a lil spice to them and were so crunchy, I just loved it. I enjoyed the lil reusable wine cup, that I thought made a cute lil suvineer of some sort for self. The service was excellent. All the staff I had some kind of interaction with, seemed to do so with all smiles on their faces. What can I say, this was a really nice dining experience here at Shake Shack. I was so happy to see one in Harlem, but not surprised. So many things are happening and changing in the N.Y.C., some for the better, some not so. I would love it if they found a location somewhere in the Bronx too, besides Cross County Mall, like maybe Bay Plaza, Riverdale, hey even Fordham Road would do. I am writing this review because I came here and was delighted by the excellent service I mean the customer service was off the chain. Never have I ever gone to a shake shack and a employee comes over while I am enjoying my meal and ask if everything was okay and if I needed anything. Say what I mean I also wouldn't expect that and it happened and caught me by surprise. It was nice. My chicken sandwich was great. I will also note that I've been to several shake shacks and I always feel at the one in Brooklyn on jay street always gives me a chicken strip in my sandwich lol.
