Insomnia Cookies used to be my go to for a nice, fresh, hot baked chocolate chip cookie. Recently, I went here and felt like the cookies are getting pricier but yet smaller. The service was great, but I am disappointed that Insomnia Cookies are shrinking. I really like having a cookie every once in a while as a late night snack; however, I must admit I will probably think twice since my cookie will be gone in two full bites. Not to mention, if you don't scan your rewards account in the store, you cannot claim your points after your purchase. read more

The guy wouldn't open the door because we were black. When we first tried to pull the door open he signaled us to come back 15 to 20 mins. We waited outside for 30 mins and came back and he told us to go away. I don't understand what was the problem of opening the door for us in 23 degree weather that we waited for cookies. read more

We were in and out! Their cookies are delicious. This one is Conveniently located on the same block as the e train at the 14st station. The smaller cookies are $3 while the larger ones are $6. The cookies are hot and moist! Definitely worth it. We got two snickerdoodle ones and they were amazing. They even sell milk. I will be back to try other flavors! read more

So glad that there are locations in Manhattan! Even though I do wish that there were some in Queens and Brooklyn I'm thankful I can always go to a location I've never been to. I love Insomnia Cookies! I was in the area and I decided to grab a 12 pack to take home. I ordered a variety of cookies- snickerdoodle, M&Ms, peanut butter, chocolate chip, white chocolate macadamia and oatmeal raisin. The cookies were fresh and delicious. The store was quiet and it wasn't crowded. The cashier was very helpful and friendly. He provided excellent service. I enjoyed my experience at the store and I enjoyed my cookies. The selection looked so delectable and it was honestly daunting to pick out the ideal cookie to eliminate a sugar craving I had. The cashier, Adrian, was very personable and helped me settle on a delicious choice. I loved his recommendation for the white chocolate macadamia cookie. It was the sweetest fix. Ok hands down one of the best cookies I've ever had in my life. My friend and I are from out of town and we happened to be walking by. I ordered their matcha flavor and their pumpkin spice flavor. Insomnia has some of the most consistent cookies imo. I would say just as good as Levain, just minus the fuss and long lines. Place was blasting Muni Long when I came through, lol. 10PM on a Monday night and that was the apparent mood the staff was in. Don't mind it though. Staff is real nice. I'd come back just for the pleasant small talk and another one of these chocolate walnut oatmeal cookies. read more

First time trying these cookies....but they come highly recommended by my daughter. So after our dinner in the city, I surprised her and stopped by before heading back to Westchester. While looking at the menu, I saw teachers got a free 6 pack with a purchase. She's a teacher, so today was definitely our lucky day. Unfortunately they had just filled an order for 100+ cookies and only had a few types available. I wasn't able to get my first or second choice so I settled for a M&M cookie. Nothing beats their snickerdoodle or s'mores cookies when it's late at night and you're craving dessert. I love how late they stay open and that they will deliver. Most of the time their cookies arrive warm and gooey. There have been some instances where they've been on the colder side but it's nothing that 15 seconds in the microwave can't fix. Cookies are fine but customer service was horrendous. Came here Saturday afternoon with a friend and no one else in the store but one employee. Apparently I made the mistake of trying to clarify what "drinks" were available to choose from with their pricey combo of 2 normal cookies and a drink for $8. The following response and conversing were as if I spat on her mom's grave. Sorry I didn't know there was only bottled milk or bottled water that apparently is on par with pricing as if we were at a club in Vegas. Clearly she did not care to be there and, you know what, neither did/do I. With so many other great cookie places in the city at a similar price but better flavor, would much rather do that. read more

If you have a sweet tooth this is the place for you. I got the peanut butter cookie and it was gooey and they heat it up which just makes it that much better. The cookie itself is a but oily/greasy but it tastes really good. The service wasn't outstanding and the place itself is pretty small with limited seating. There's like 5/6 stools facing the street for you to eat inside otherwise I saw a lot of people taking them to go. read more

One of the worst Insomnia Cookies I've been to. The customer service was great, and the people were really nice! That is a positive and it deserves to be noted and praised. However the cookies I had there... they sucked. I stopped by Insomnia Cookies b/c I've been to multiple locations, they tend to be standardized good/solid cookies. This location obviously missed the memo. I ordered two chocolate chunk cookies, expecting them to be just as warm, gooey, and sweet as usual Insomnia Cookies! The cookies were bittersweet, at best. They weren't that soft, and they honestly tasted stale. I only ate one cookie and threw away the other. I would never go back to this location. read more

I hadn't had insomnia cookies since college, stopped in on a whim figuring I'd had so much more exposure since then and my taste buds had matured past this spot. But I gotta say...these cookies hold up!!! The oatmeal raisin was excellent, the mint chocolate chip is still the best, and the chocolate chip is solid. So I came here wile visiting NYC, as I am from CA. Nothing too special about this place. They were regular ice cream and fresh backer cookies and they deliver as everyone in NYC does. IT basically is like our CREAM stores we have back in the Bay Area. Service is mediocre and all the workers are mostly chattin it up in the back or coming in from delivery orders. I tried both the s'mores cookie and the white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. They warmed them up on the spot and I got to enjoy them! The cookies are very soft and chewy, not crumbly or too gooey. I really loved them both but the s'mores was a bit tooooo sweet and big, while the white chocolate macadamia was a perfect size and sweetness. read more

i would love to review the cookies but the last 3 out of 3 times i attempted to purchase cookies, as a walk-in customer around 9 PM all three times, the door was locked with a handwritten sign that said "Baking! Come back Later!" & employees that refuse to make eye contact even when we knocked on the door. never have i encountered a food service biz so persistently consistent about not taking (my) money that they don't have to split with a delivery service. very strange & dumbfounding neighborhood business strategy. read more

The flavors were simply not bold enough, and the butteriness overpowers everything, including the tang of the cheese. We also got an iced matcha with ube foam (asked for milk base instead of water base) and it was just meh! The matcha was powdery and the ube foam didn't taste like much. The barista also forgot to ask whether I wanted it sweetened so the first sip was quite bitter with little tea flavor. All in all, I had it, I tried it, and will probably not get it again.

From previous reviews, it appears most people come here for the ramen, which are about $19 a bowl. My friends and I tried the tonkotsu ramen, shoyu ramen, and a butadon (pork rice bowl). Everything was delicious and flavorful. However, four stars is an accurate assessment. I've had better tasting ramen with a more flavorful broth, and a larger portion with more meat at slightly lower prices. The food is good but not the best either.

Upon walking in, I was greeted by a waiter who led us to one of the purple velvet chair booths that was perfect for two people and another waiter brought us a pitcher of water almost immediately. The menu is on a QR code already on the table and we were given ample of time to decide. My friend and I both already knew what we wanted to order. I got the purple Yam Souffle which takes 25 minutes to make and my friend got the fried squid tails. We also got a signature Rose Green Milk Tea to share. The waitress who took our order has great memory and recalled all of our items without writing it down. She also reminded me that I could adjust the ice and sugar levels of my drink which I had completely forgotten and would have got annoyed if my drink came out 100% sweetness. Another thing is that my drink order frequently comes out wrong at other locations so I was glad she got it right! Green tea instead of black tea and with milk instead of without milk. The purple Yam Souffle is just like the other locations. Hot, soft cakey texture balanced with an ice cold red bean Ice-Cream. So delicious! The squid tails on the other hand was not what we expected. It came out burnt and hard. The outer batter was not crispy either. We informed one of the waiters and he brought it back to inform the kitchen staff. We received a new batch that was not as burnt and had more flavoring this time around. However, the squid was still hard and not like the ones we get from other locations with smaller crispier pieces. Overall, it was still a good experience and I love the decorations at this location! This might be my second favorite location after the Flushing one. Would love to come back for brunch or hi-tea. Or regular food options when I have not already eaten dinner. My usual go-tos are the twister fries, Santa Fe chicken rolls, fried salted crispy chicken, and the trio dessert combo. However, this location has a lot more variety!
