Visiting from out of town. First time here. Parking easy in the strip mall. No wait at 1140am on a Wednesday. Got the burger with the mushroom cheese patty. Was kind of expecting a bigger burger for the price. Small bun and only cones with lettuce and tomato. Was good. Nice and hot and fresh.

I've got an order to go today from Shake shack. The chicken sandwiches were good. But the onion rings the biggest joke I've ever seen. It literally had seven onion rings. At that rate, the little box that holds the onion rings cost you a dollar per onion ring and they're not even big ones. Well sometimes you have to learn a lesson. I will never order onion rings from Shake shack again. I felt it was way overpriced for the onion rings!

Was running late and hadn't eaten all day. Ran in to grab a quick bite. Ordered a ShackBurger, Onion Rings, and a Hot Dog. Service was a little mixed. The host seemed somewhat lost as I asked questions (basically looking for guidance) when ordering the Hot Dog. It was late almost close to closing time so I wrote it off for the sake of wanting to eat. When I arrived, folk were dinning in, still coming in, and a few delivery men were there as well. Gave me the impression the food had to be good. For near closing time, the place was still lively and upbeat. Looked clean and there was no sense of rush to get my order in. The host who was the cashier (when I walked in) and who took my order. He even went back and cooked my meal. Had a little bit left on the clock to dine-in so I took advantage. Just didn't want to eat this one on the go. The order hit the table freshly prepared as well as nice and hot. The Burger hit all markers for fresh ingredients proper preparation and flavor. The Hot Dog was another one that was decent. I didn't know which one to order but I have a better understanding as for next time. I simply ordered a Hot Dog and told him to add Raw Onions Ketchup Relish Jalapeño's and Mustard. However i was informed they don't carry those ingredients for a Hot Dog. I had no clue. So, Crispy Onions Ketchup and Ranch Dressing it is then, (for toppings). Now after the improvisation of available ingredients, I was able to get where I needed to go to make my Hot Dog hit the mark, that turned into a solid meal experience, that capped off a long day. When you know better, you do better. Next time for certain. Gratitude and give thanks Shake Shack Marina Del Rey and Staff for the meal experience. See you soon.

I have been to countless locations over the years and would say this MDR one is one of my very favorites. The staff is especially very friendly and even when there is a line the order never takes very long. One of my favorite things about this chain is how often they change up their seasonal items so I was excited to stop in yesterday to try some of their limited run items. It's located in a shopping mall so there is plenty of free parking all around. It's also in a less busy part of Los Angeles so it's never quite as crowded as some of the more central locations. Inside is very large, there are plenty of tables to dine in, but I always choose to grab to go. I also love how there are many kiosks as you enter so you can pretty much place your order as soon as you arrive. The seasonal items I tried were the French Onion Soup Burger, which I thought was fantastic. I am an onion and Gruyère fan so seeing that combo was an no-brainer. I also tried the Banana Pudding Shake, which I have had before, and loved. It had vanilla wafer crumbles on top and just was honestly delicious. I also tried the Parmesan Garlic Fries to mix it up and thought they were great as well. I would suggest ordering a side of cheese and mixing that for another great combo. I would recommend and will be back again many times in the future.

Don't sleep on the K-Shack chicken sandwich! Omg it's so good! The spicy and sweet Gochujang sauce is delicious! I substituted the kimchi slaw with regular lettuce, since I don't care for Coleslaw or Kimchi sauce and it was the perfect bite! I even added pickles for a true chx sandwich vibe. Shot out to the rockstar Carra, who was super attentive and refilled my drink, without me having to ask! Love this Shake shak in MDR, they do it uppp!!

I think the shake shack chicken sandwich is actually better than their burger. It comes with a delicious herb aioli. Shake shack is like an elevated chick-fil-a but still casual. Ordering is self-serve but they bring your food to your table.

Quick, tasty, not at all healthy lol (unless you get the veggie burger wrapped in lettuce). But darn good. The Hawaiian bread burger buns are key. A little sweet, super soft combo makes great balance for the savory burgers. Got the new truffle burger, got a single and should've gotten a double bc the onion rings cheese and sauce overpowers the single burger patty. So you need the second party for more meat to "stuff" ratio. It would've been perfect with two patties. Not sure this burger will work wrapped in lettuce as the truffle sauce oozes out of the bread which should be soaking it up. It's really tasty. Well done Team Shake Shack! The Parmesan fries are good as well but they should not salt them bc the Parmesan already is salty. I like Shake Shack bc it's one step above InnOut with a bit more variety while still being simple. And I love that when they did add a burger they went all in and top notch. Service was great. Really nice people attentive and cleaning constantly. I think the boss was there so that may have contributed to the attentiveness lol. At 4pm it was pretty empty but I imagine mid day and evenings or weekends it's not. Tons of parking in the front or back or side lots. Bathroom which is nice. A good balance of quality and no frills/ease. I'll be back!

I got the new avocado bacon chicken sandwich and it was great. I love adding tomato's and onions to it. I actually prefer the chicken sandwiches from shake shack over their burgers. The service was a kiosk buy the food came quick. They have indoor and outdoor seating perfect for a sunny day. Would come back for a quick lunch! Lots of seats indoors and can shop the mall afterwards too!

We stopped in on a Sunday around 11:30, no line and very quick service! Finished eating and left around 12:05 so we must've lucked out with no line. We got two double cheese burgers and the loaded fries. The burger had impressively thin patties with a really nice char on the meat skirt, well seasoned, and perfectly crispy. The buns were quite small and a bit smooshed, but they were soft. It came with some fry sauce and pickles as well, overall a good burger. The fries had a good amount of toppings (cheese onions, fry sauce) and were nice and crispy. Kinda wish the onions were slightly more grilled for some extra flavor! Would probably go for plain next time as the loaded fries and burger together had similar flavors The interior has a few benches for seating and single bar type seating around the perimeter - I could see it filling up if there's a big line of people. Would like to try the chicken sandwich and brussel sprouts next time we stop by!

The Big Mac stays the same. I went to LA to taste, apparently, the best burger in LA at For the Win. I paid $25 for two smash burgers and had high expectations. After all, when you click this joint on Google Maps, a fancy review pops up. Nice! However, when the smash burger entered my cave and caressed my buds, my mind instantly recognized it as a Big Mac. Therefore, my brain could hardly differentiate between a McDonalds burger, and the "best" burger in LA. I haven't eaten at McDonalds in 14 years, but my mind still knew what a gentle and warm face looks like. So overall, it was alright! As the reverend Shane Gillis says "Not Bad". The service was good tho. And the ambiance was a bit weird because the music was off. Haha bye!!!

Parking: Street parking was super easy on a Sunday afternoon, I was able to pull up right in front and park on the street. There is a Super A across the street and ample parking around for free. Ambiance & Food: This reminds me of an old school burger stand. Those were the best burgers and this one did not stop that trend. As I walked up, we were warmly greeted and given a quick rundown of what which burger. They did have specials (I will get to that in a second) which we were intrigued, but for the sake of perspective, I ordered the Goldburger and both regular fries and curly fries with a bottle coke. The Goldburger is naturally a double, but my gymrat protein brain added that extra patty. They use a 70% to 30% mixture for their burger which makes the burger oh so decadent. The picture I took doesn't do it justice. The moment you bite into the burger the combination of burger juice, aioli, burnt skirt, all come together in such a harmonious fashion. It was remarkable. Though fries are not one of my strong points, both fries were crispy and I haven't had any other experience with Curly fries other than Jack in the Box, but these were so much better. I went ahead and dipped the fries in some homemade Aioli and dang, what a combo! Back to those specials, the current special is CHILI, I was intrigued so they gave me a small container of it to try. Man, if I wasn't watching my caloric intake, that would have been the move. It was rich and chunky and not to soggy which some always comes. Give it a try as they said it will be around for sometime. Other than burgers, they do have hot dogs as well. So worth trying both next time. To be perfectly honest, this brought back so much nostalgia for me, I used to go to school in the area and this brought a lot of those memories back. I happened to be in the area, and even though I'd already eaten, I couldn't pass up the opportunity to finally drop in. Irv's originally opened in 1946 as Queen's Burgers, located right on Route 66 on Santa Monica Boulevard in WeHo, and was deeply ingrained in LA's historic car culture. In 1970, Irv Genis bought the stand and renamed it Irv's Burgers, and it quickly became a legendary late-night spot for rock icons like Bob Dylan and Jim Morrison. By 2000, Sonia Hong took over, famously hand-drawing doodles on the paper plates alongside her signature slogan, "Just for you." After closing in 2013 and again in 2018, Lawrence Longo partnered with Sonia in 2021 to bring the brand back to life. They've since expanded quite a bit, even opening locations in Malibu and Las Vegas. On a staff recommendation, I ordered Irv's Original Roadside Burger Double ($11.25). Honestly, it was just okay. While a certain amount of grease and salt is expected with a burger, this one crossed the line into being a bit too salty and oily. On the bright side, the sesame bun was excellent, and I loved that they kept Sonia's legacy alive by printing her classic doodles on the tray placemats. While I'm glad Irv's was saved from history and is expanding, the food itself felt pretty so-so. The outdoor tables were also a bit dirty during my visit. I still love that classic roadside burger stand aesthetic with the outdoor stools, but unfortunately, I won't be in a rush to head back.

The same manager was there on the last day as when I went the first time two years ago. The staff there was always amazing, friendly, and the food was incredible. I think it was the Chinatown location that didn't work for them. However, the good news is that they do have three other locations and if you have never been, I suggest you check Kroft out if you love burgers, especially smashed. The other locations are in Long Beach, Anaheim, and Rancho Cucamonga. I wish them luck and I will definitely be stopping in their other locations if I am ever in the area.

Waited another 10min, while I saw other people picking up orders, so I checked in again. Same response, not ready yet. Another 10min passed by, now I'm seeeing people who came after me get their orders before me. Asked the staff again for my order status. The order pick up window person shouted my name to the kitchen each time I checked in. Finally the 3rd time they responded, they start arguing, apparently my order was done a long time ago, and it was given to someone else. It took 30min to figure out that my order had already been done and given to someone else because there was no communication between the kitchen, order staff or pick up staff. no apology, just got my food after the argument 3minutes later...Food was average, definitely not worth a 30min wait.
