I humbly believe shake shack to be one of the worst and saddest excuses of a burger. It's like that one annoying cousin at every family gathering that you lowk hate but their dad is the richest in the family and hosts all the gatherings and you have to put up with them because everyone else likes to suck up to them because of how extravagant everything looks and seems on the outside but deep down you know that behind all the glitz and glamour lies deception, thievery, and the very destruction of all that holds the delicate balance between culinary excellence and abuse of the consumer. At that rate, the little box that holds the onion rings cost you a dollar per onion ring and they're not even big ones. Well sometimes you have to learn a lesson. Was running late and hadn't eaten all day. Ran in to grab a quick bite. Ordered a ShackBurger, Onion Rings, and a Hot Dog. Service was a little mixed. The host seemed somewhat lost as I asked questions (basically looking for guidance) when ordering the Hot Dog. It was late almost close to closing time so I wrote it off for the sake of wanting to eat. When I arrived, folk were dinning in, still coming in, and a few delivery men were there as well. Gave me the impression the food had to be good. For near closing time, the place was still lively and upbeat. Looked clean and there was no sense of rush to get my order in. The host who was the cashier (when I walked in) and who took my order. He even went back and cooked my meal. Had a little bit left on the clock to dine-in so I took advantage. Just didn't want to eat this one on the go. The order hit the table freshly prepared as well as nice and hot. The Burger hit all markers for fresh ingredients proper preparation and flavor. The Hot Dog was another one that was decent. I didn't know which one to order but I have a better understanding as for next time. I simply ordered a Hot Dog and told him to add Raw Onions Ketchup Relish Jalapeño's and Mustard. However i was informed they don't carry those ingredients for a Hot Dog. I had no clue. So, Crispy Onions Ketchup and Ranch Dressing it is then, (for toppings). Now after the improvisation of available ingredients, I was able to get where I needed to go to make my Hot Dog hit the mark, that turned into a solid meal experience, that capped off a long day. I have been to countless locations over the years and would say this MDR one is one of my very favorites. The staff is especially very friendly and even when there is a line the order never takes very long. One of my favorite things about this chain is how often they change up their seasonal items so I was excited to stop in yesterday to try some of their limited run items. It's located in a shopping mall so there is plenty of free parking all around. It's also in a less busy part of Los Angeles so it's never quite as crowded as some of the more central locations. Inside is very large, there are plenty of tables to dine in, but I always choose to grab to go. I also love how there are many kiosks as you enter so you can pretty much place your order as soon as you arrive. The seasonal items I tried were the French Onion Soup Burger, which I thought was fantastic. I am an onion and Gruyère fan so seeing that combo was an no-brainer. I also tried the Banana Pudding Shake, which I have had before, and loved. It had vanilla wafer crumbles on top and just was honestly delicious. I also tried the Parmesan Garlic Fries to mix it up and thought they were great as well. I would suggest ordering a side of cheese and mixing that for another great combo. I would recommend and will be back again many times in the future. read more

Don't sleep on the K-Shack chicken sandwich! Omg it's so good! The spicy and sweet Gochujang sauce is delicious! I substituted the kimchi slaw with regular lettuce, since I don't care for Coleslaw or Kimchi sauce and it was the perfect bite! I even added pickles for a true chx sandwich vibe. Chocolate shake was thinner than soup. I asked for ketchup to be included with my takeout order and there was none to be found. Burger was messy but not in a good way and could've really used the moisture and flavor of ketchup to be a little more palatable. The staff who answered the phone were nice though didn't seem very knowledgeable, as I was told I'd have to order in person at the counter to accommodate a dietary restriction, but when I arrived I was told the only way to order was electronically. When my order was ready none of the counter staff were paying attention and my food was just left sitting to get cold while I was standing a few feet away because nobody was there to let those waiting know whose order is whose. read more

One reason this Shake Shack location really stands out is because of the staff. They are very kind and helpful and go out of their way to do such a good job. The food is pretty decent. I usually just get a hotdog or chicken tenders as I'm not a big burger person my husband really enjoys that double shake shack burger definitely like coming here regularly. Quick, tasty, not at all healthy lol (unless you get the veggie burger wrapped in lettuce). But darn good. The Hawaiian bread burger buns are key. A little sweet, super soft combo makes great balance for the savory burgers. Got the new truffle burger, got a single and should've gotten a double bc the onion rings cheese and sauce overpowers the single burger patty. So you need the second party for more meat to "stuff" ratio. It would've been perfect with two patties. Not sure this burger will work wrapped in lettuce as the truffle sauce oozes out of the bread which should be soaking it up. It's really tasty. Well done Team Shake Shack! The Parmesan fries are good as well but they should not salt them bc the Parmesan already is salty. I like Shake Shack bc it's one step above InnOut with a bit more variety while still being simple. And I love that when they did add a burger they went all in and top notch. Service was great. Really nice people attentive and cleaning constantly. I think the boss was there so that may have contributed to the attentiveness lol. At 4pm it was pretty empty but I imagine mid day and evenings or weekends it's not. I got the new avocado bacon chicken sandwich and it was great. I love adding tomato's and onions to it. I actually prefer the chicken sandwiches from shake shack over their burgers. The service was a kiosk buy the food came quick. They have indoor and outdoor seating perfect for a sunny day. Would come back for a quick lunch! I went straight to the counter because I always do the tablets wrong and I had a gift card. Really nice guy was in training and didn't know how to do it so a manager stepped in to help and I was able to complete my order. I noticed other people were given table number stands but I didn't so I stood, and then sat, next to the counter. Luckily, the same guy brought my food to me. He also kept checking on me to make sure that I had whatever I needed. It was nice and clean inside, but it also wasn't very busy. I had a hotdog, French fries, and lemonade. I don't usually go to Shake Shack, but I stopped by recently and had a great experience! I'm usually all about the burgers, but the staff was super friendly and recommended the chicken sandwich. I was hesitant, especially since I'm very sensitive to any kind of low-quality ingredients--bad food can give me an instant reaction. When I saw the fried chicken and the white ShackSauce, I told my husband, 'Oh no, in half an hour, I'm going to regret this.' But I gave it a try, and not only was the sandwich delicious, but I had absolutely no reaction at all! It was clear to me they use high-quality ingredients because I felt great afterward, which for me is rare. The staff was wonderful, and the restaurant was clean and welcoming. I had stopped in to the Shake Shack in Marina Del Rey after a long day out in the ocean with a couple of friends. We were looking for something to eat and we all decided that Shake Shack would be the best option because we didn't want to have to head back home which was another 45 minutes away. We ordered at the iPad kiosks up in front and everything was very easy and painless. I really liked how the beverages were self-service. It made it easy because I was really thirsty and didn't have to ask for refills. I'm big fan of their burgers here too. If you've never been here before the burgers aren't the biggest but the taste is spot on and you can taste the ingredients. The fries are just okay but you can't have burgers without fries. The store was pretty big and we had a great time here. There were tons of parking around in this area because it's towards one of the corners of this plaza. The traditional cashier experience or kiosk that takes card or mobile payment. The staff here were very friendly and attentive to our needs. Honestly I was a little shocked that the staff offered to refill my beverage. The parking here can be stressful because it shares the lot amongst several businesses, so plan accordingly. Shake shack is great on the flavors! A bit pricier in my opinion, but still good. We stopped by Shake Shack for a quick appetizer (of burgers :P) before we were going to eat at Sugarfish. Order on the kiosk. We each got a burger and shared a fry. Burgers and fries all taste great! There is a meme about yelp, and people jumping on to share their frustrations only when things go wrong. This is the opposite of that. I wanted to share a story about a manager, going above, and beyond when he didn't have to, and making my day a lot easier. I ordered from the shake shack to go, and to pick up in my car, but I accidentally pressed an hour later than I arrived. There was no way for the manager to successfully look up my order and expedite it. There were also several other customers in the store, and people waiting in line. He instead took the time to fire my order on the fly, and get me what I needed as soon as possible, just because I asked (nicely). They were super nice about it, and didn't make me feel like an inconvenience. 10 out of 10 service. Also shake shack is really good. read more

I had shake shack for the first time in NYC in 2012. Before it ever dared show its face on the West Coast, much less, in LA. I wasn't impressed when I had it in NYC. When the first LA shake shack opened up in WeHo in 216 i decided to give it a second try and hot explosive diarrhea lol (sorry for the TMI) I had for a third time the following year at the airport because im y food options were very limited obviously. Well I guess third times a charm because after that I was hooked. From then on it never disappointed me again. It's always a good idea and always hits the spot. Who can say no to a Martin's potato roll? My go to is the regular shack burger with fries and a 50/50 (Arnold Palmer) the shack stack with the added fried portobello mushroom is great too if you're a bit hungrier. Their grilled cheese is legit and cheese fries are always a good idea. Not a fan of the chicken sándwich really but I'll give it another try one day. They recently expanded their menu a ton. I've yet to try anyhting new- recommend sticking with the OG classics. read more

Have only been to shake shack twice and what really stood out to me is their portobello mushroom burger. The mushroom is filled with cheese & pairs perfectly with the burger, veggies, and sauce. Other than that, I haven't really tried their other items but would like to some day. The food comes out within 10 minutes (service) and inside of the restaurant, I would say it's pretty clean for the most part. Not all shake shacks are made the same, and this one is a lot better than the culver city and Santa Monica counterparts. There are plenty of staff at this location and the store is massive so tons of seating. The burger was a lot better this time. I still don't like the amount of grease/lard used, but taste was WAY better than other locations. Had the 'Shroom burger for the first time, and it's delish! Breaded and deep fried and stuffed with melted Muenster and cheddar cheeses on a delicious potato roll bun... mm mm good! So tasty and definitely not healthy, haha. The bacon cheese fries got a bit cold by the time I ate them, but I still liked the thick, crinkle cut potatoes. The strawberry milkshake with malt added was the bomb! So creamy and delicious--just like eating liquid ice cream. The unsweetened iced tea cut the sweetness of the sugary lemonade in the Fifty/Fifty. Quite busy on Monday at lunchtime, but definitely worth the wait for a decadent treat. read more
