Pepper Steak sandwich-same great taste as I remember from the 1970's!

I haven't had the Pepper Steak sandwich from the Submariner since growing up in the 1970's in this neighborhood and walked to this restaurant with my siblings. Same great taste! I highly recommend this restaurant-especially the Pepper Steak Friendly staff!

This has to be one of Westchester's hidden gem. The food here is amazing. After finding this on Yelp, I decided to try it. To my surprise, when I walked in, I was greeted by the owners. They're a mom and pop Korean couple, but it looks like they become accustomed to making great philly cheesesteak sandwiches. I ended up ordering the Western Bacon Cheeseburger combo, and it was delicious. The onion rings were crunchy, the bacon was crispy, the cheese melted and was nice and gooey. The fries were seasoned well. The burger was still hot, I can see steam coming out with every bite. Not only does this serve good food, they also sell lotto tickets and scratchers! Next time you're in Westchester ordering wonderful food, grab a lotto ticket for a change to hit the jackpot as well. I'm keeping this place in mind and will have to add it to my restaurants on rotation.

What they claim is on their Philly cheese steak.

I ordered a Philly cheese steak and it came with lettuce and tomato. What the hell is that crap? I ordered a PHILLY CHEESE STEAK not a chopped cheese, you don't even have a chopped cheese on your menus but that's what your serving. You swapped out the ground beef for steak put lettuce and tomato on it. Just because there's steak doesn't make it a PHILLY CHEESE STEAK. You don't even know what sandwich you're serving. There were no peppers, onions, mushrooms, like your menu says. Image attached. Who the heck wants warm lettuce in a sandwich. Imposter ass "Philly cheese steak" taste wise...it was slightly lower than mid. Try something else from this place I guess.

Classic style diner with good selection of burgers and subs. Real traditional American vibe. Friendly staff and plenty of seating. They been in the business forever and keep on delivering same good quality.

It's easily some of the best pizza around. What really made the night, though, was our server, Danny. Even in a relaxed, easygoing setting, his attention to detail was unmatched. He has this awesome fixation on making sure his guests have everything they need the exact moment they need it. Danny is sharp, incredibly welcoming, and handles the floor with total ease and genuine care. It's rare to find a laid-back place that pairs such amazing, comforting food with that level of attentive service. We had a fantastic time and will definitely be asking for Danny's section on our next pizza night!

We found Nardo online. I even asked my husband to pass on this place since it didn't have many reviews. Boy am I glad we didn't skip on Nardo. We were able to find street parking near Nardo and upon arriving at the restaurant front, found this place to be almost at full capacity! We're lucky we arrived for early dinner and the host was able to squeeze us in. We opted to get a pizza and 2 pasta. Now, my husband is not a huge pizza guy so a compliment from him is HUGE. We got the Nardo pizza and man the crust was so memorable. As for pasta, we got the bucatini and was very impressed by the sauce as well. If it weren't for the far drive, we'd absolutely be coming back. What an amazing find!

Nothing to revert about. But wow, that mimosa was filled to the rim! I got the speciality weekend brunch spritz. I don't remember what it was call but it was strong and refreshing. Yes. The spritz was strong or my tolerance has gone way down. First course: I was pleasantly surprised by how big the Avacado toast was. It had a jam at the bottom that brought the whole dish together. Like my HH review, some micro greens would have taken my heard back. I just love microgreens! Deviled eggs and croquetts I've tried before. They were both pretty good. Croquetts can't do wrong. Mains: I got the crab Benedict and it was awesome! I filled up on my avocado toast so I took half of it home. There was plenty of crab and the poached egg was running and bright orange. That's some healthy eggs! Fresh toast looked amazing as well, same with the burger. I know the burger was also popular at happy hour for the price but I was told it was very good. I'll have to go next time just for that. Parking: Just park by the paid lot by trader Joe's or off Cardiff. Easier than trying to find parking on that street. The paid lot is $1 free and $1 additional hours. The patio was super charming with all the natural lights and shaded by the trees. The service was decent as well. Will took good care of us.

We started with the fried green tomatoes, and they were a standout. I'm usually not a pimento cheese fan, but here it elevated the dish. Every bite had the perfect balance of crispy crunch, creamy cheese, fresh herbs, and just the right touch of heat. For our mains, we ordered the lamb shank and collard greens. The lamb was fall-off-the-bone tender, and the rich, deeply flavorful broth made it even better. The green beans added a fresh pop that balanced the dish nicely. The collard greens were equally impressive, slow-cooked in a savory, flavorful pot liquor that begged to be soaked up with the must-order cornbread. Crispy on the outside, warm and buttery inside--it was perfection. Don't skip dessert. The chocolate chip cookies arrive warm from the oven and are the perfect ending. With its cozy, nostalgic atmosphere and elevated Southern cooking, Hatchet Hall feels like Sunday dinner at Grandma's--with a modern twist.

The breakfast plate was fine - bacon is really salty. The cornbread is the best part but even that is only good for the first few bites and then is heavy. It's clear they've put intentional effort into improving this week, as service was a highlight for us. Our waiter, Sunny, was so polite, quick, and communicative. He had a lot of tables to cover, as it was a packed and chaotic room during the Mexico vs. Ecuador game last night. The N17 burger and fries (both the regular shoe string fries and sweet potato fries) were fantastic! Both were cooked just right, very flavorful, and the fries were nice and crispy. The atmosphere and design of the restaurant in front isn't your typical "sports bar" - it feels more like a cute, sunny brunch restaurant with high-quality screens for sports viewing - but the clientele feels just like any other sports bar would :) It was very lively and fun to watch with others last night. For the World Cup, they've opened up their event space in the back which is not set up like a typical restaurant - but it was great for viewing! The screens are HUGE and very high-quality.

Listen, I understand being busy is one thing but blatantly ignoring paying customers that have been sitting and waiting to be served for 20-30 minutes after only ordering two drinks is strange to me. And then to come back and ask if we wanted to remove the items we already ordered without us having to bring it up just lets me know that you remembered all this time but chose not to serve us until someone had to go ask to be served AGAIN. Even other venues that are 5x bigger than this one have better customer service/attentiveness. We also ordered the bottomless mimosas and only got through 2 bottles because it took them 20 minutes to bring out the first one and another 15 to bring out the second one when it was asked for. And on top of that, they act like they're doing YOU a favor by bringing out the food & drinks that YOU paid for. I have never written a negative review before but this experience was awful; just a waste of money &, what should have been, a good time.
