I ordered a cheese omelet with avocado on the side. Well, I didn't know that *cold* (!) American cheese squares would be plopped on the top of it and it was gross. The avocado wasn't fully ripe either. Really kind of a bummer. I don't see myself going back. I know they have been here many years and you would think this is an easy item but it really turned me off. The service at the register was friendly and the restaurant was clean. One thing they have going for them, which is hard in Santa Monica, is that they have their own parking lot. I wish it had been good because I was looking for a new local breakfast place I could frequent but I just don't see it happening.

My husband and I come here once every 2 months or so. He grew up in the area so I think he just has nostalgia attached to this place. It gives local dinner vibes. The customer service is also great. I feel like some dishes are better than others though. I have tried their burger and their burritos and I think both are pretty solid. The egg sandwich was good but honestly didn't taste like anything fantastic or crazy. I don't think I would order it again. I would forsure get their burrito or burger though. I usually order the cali burrito and my husband orders the asada one. We cut it in half and split it. Anyway, if you're in the area I think its worth a try. Parking is decent. I believe there is a car wash of sorts next door.

George's had been on my Westside burger hit list, and I finally checked it off last night. I had the cheeseburger and onion rings--classic, tasty, and satisfying. Total came to $14.71, which felt fair for the quality. Service was solid and fast, with friendly staff and quick turnaround on the food. Ambience is classic burger joint casual--nothing fancy, but it works. That said, the place could use a bit of a cleanup, especially the floors and tables. Overall, a solid neighborhood spot for a no-frills, good burger experience. If I had to choose between George's in Santa Monica and Troy's Burgers in Highland Park. I'd go back to Troy's.

Georges has been a local favorite forever! The best thing about them is their customer service and consistency in quality of food. The employees always have a smile on their face and are so accommodating. I love coming here because it feels like coming to a family friends home. Always great energy and excellent food!

Food is always good. I use to work at the Santa Monica Airport and if I ever wanted a char broil burger I would go to George's. Service is fast and clean.

After a decade, this place still has it. I've only ever had the breakfast burritos, and that's all I need. You walk in, and the place is clean and busy. Most of the booths are occupied. The cooks are working like a well-oiled machine. The lady that takes your order couldn't be nicer. Great attitude helpful with any questions. I wash my car next door and will stop by for that giant breakfast burrito more often than not. Good stuff!

Open since 1995 I have lived near this place for many years and I've driven by it countless times but for some reason I've never tried it. Given that George is also my dog's name I figured it was time that I tried it and I am so glad that I did. It's a traditional to go burger spot, but they also have breakfast and other types of sandwiches and classic comfort food. They have a large free parking lot attached so parking is easy, the menu is gigantic with fair prices, and service was super fast and friendly. Everything that we ordered was ready about 10 minutes after we placed the order, even though it was quite busy inside on a Saturday night @ 7PM. Most people get it to go, but they do have tables indoor and out. For my first visit I wanted to try some of their higher rated items so I ordered a Double Avocado Cheeseburger and a Steak Sandwich. Both were fantastic, but the Steak Sandwich was especially good. The steak did not have fat at all, was perfectly seasoned, and cooked exactly as I ordered it. The fries were also a really great side dish and I was just overall very impressed with the meal. I would definitely recommend to anyone looking for a quick and casual comfort food meal, and I plan to be back in the future to try more items.

George's has the best breakfast in town. Service is relatively quick, unless you get there during their breakfast & lunch rush. Food is consistent and always delicious! Seating is very limited.

Can they do a bun-less (i.e., gluten free) burger in a lettuce wrap or on top of lettuce?

I'm sure they will accommodate. They do have wraps on the menu.

When I crave a burger, THIS is exactly what I need!…read more This place has hands-down some of the best smash burgers I've ever tasted. I thought I knew what a true smash burger was, but this spot completely changed my understanding of what it should be. The burger was fresh, hot, perfectly smashed, and packed with flavor. Everything tasted like it had just come straight off the grill--because it basically had! The service was fast and efficient, and there are tables right out front of the establishment, which made it easy to sit back and enjoy our meal. And as if the burger wasn't enough, we grabbed a soft-serve ice cream cone for the walk back to the car. It was the perfect stop after a day of shopping, and I left genuinely impressed. I've never had a smash burger quite like this one. I already know that any time I'm back in California, I'll be making another stop here. Truly a 10/10 experience!

The combo of caramelized onion, heavy sauce and the sear of the patty is delicious. The fries were also very good and most of them were crispy. I will say, photos I saw before hand had my expectations pretty high. Although, the fries didn't meet expectations they were still really good. If you are near a Heavy Handed location don't contemplate, just go. You won't be disappointed.

Bun is good and the Patty is a good size for me. If you're a big dude, these burgers might feel kind of small to you and you'll probably need to have more than one. Their fries are good too, and I feel like the burger is decently priced for what it is. It's obviously cheaper to go get it there than it is to DoorDash it. Plenty of parking in the back and a couple of seats for you to sit at if you choose to eat there. It's in a building that houses a couple different restaurants kinda like a mini mall food court. My bf and I came once here and it was coo. I gave it another try on my own tonight and omggggg wish I didn't. There is a lack of CARE and QUALITY for the food. First off, it didn't taste fresh. This establishment preaches about the ingredients but the taste, care and freshness was completely off. And I ate it right away too. I also upgraded and paid an extra $1 for "hand-cut fries" as I was curious from last time, but they looked like the same fries as last time! They had no flavor and as you can tell by the photo, the fries are literally brown. I thought fries were yellow! Overcooked and no flavor. Lmao. The burger was OK. It was definitely greasy and didn't taste "healthy" to me. I mean I would've been better off eating at In-n-out for this carelessness. At least INO is consistent and actually tastes good. Do better!!!!

What surprised me was the prices but more on that later. The menu is streamlined and the choices are few. What HiHo does offer is simple done correctly. The Waygu beef is fresh and they do not over season the burger. They let the natural goodness of a quality beef patty do all the talking. There is plenty of flavor but the burger is not overly greasy. The buns are made in house, as well as the pickles and they both deliver. I love a burger with shredded lettuce. The French fries are prepared fresh and cooked to perfection for my taste. I like my fries slightly crispy and a little dark. They showed up well done and almost too hot to eat. I tried their in house sauce called "Matty Sauce" and still don't know how to feel about it. It was explained to me as their version of thousand island but there was an after taste to the sauce I still can't describe. I decided I didn't care for the sauce but never stopped dipping my fries in it. So in the end, I guess I ended up liking it? I feel you will either really like it, or really dislike it. I tried both the chocolate and vanilla shakes and preferred the vanilla. The shakes are made with house made ice cream and serve their purpose. I liked the fact they have a dispenser just for water and ice. Overall I say drop what you are doing and go get a HiHo Double. The most amazing thing about this burger is its simplicity and freshness. Two things that are often overlooked and/or not well done. If you want bells and whistles go elsewhere. If you want a really, really fresh and well made burger at In N Out prices, HiHo delivers.

Service save for the encounter to follow was good despite it being busy. The gentlemen working the register and supporting him were kind. I just hope there is more care and attention to detail ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Honestly could've saved time going somewhere else, originally came for Cava but they were closed due to a facility issue. Ordered at 6:23 and got our order at 6:54. They gave our order to 83 and to top it off they gave them their original order on top of the order that was originally ours. Order 83 had two fries and two burgers. Our order had two burgers and one fry. Working in service, I know mistakes happen (especially when it's busy) but how you go about correcting a mistake speaks more than the actual mistake. They apologized for their mistake but the execution of their apology was lackluster. They tried to give us a shake as if to make up for the fact we waited 30 minutes for our order. I declined. Really? Why give order 83 essentially 4 burgers and 3 fries in total but we're given a meager shake for a mistake we didn't make? I was given our order and the Asian guy at the counter handout was seemingly expecting me to walk away without saying anything. I was expecting the same treatment of being given for order 85, at least an extra burger or whatever for the trouble but no lmfao. At the very least give us an extra burger that would make the wait a bit more bearable. He grimaced as if asking for that small favor was going to pull it out of his paycheck.
