Solid shack experience! I live about a five minute walk away from the original location in Madison Square Park but couldn't pass up the opportunity to try the new Super hyped up Denver location. Got the green chili burger because it's a Denver special and it was good. Was it better than a shack burger? no. Will I get it again? Also no. But you really cannot beat shake shack for a fast food burger experience. My cousin got the shroom burger and we shared cheese fries - all of which tasted the same as the location in NYC. My husband and I had a quarantine craving and we decided to order shake shack. I will start by saying the last time we ordered we didn't have a horrible experience. Tonight was a horrible experience. The wait outside of shake shack was so long we went through three grub hub drivers. THREE! It took us over an hour and a half to get our food. The way I see it there are multiple points of blame. Nobody should be waiting in line for thirty minutes to get food that's ready. Two, if our grub hub order is sitting there for 45minutes and cold that's not a good look. Shake shack just didn't care. Third, grub hub is also ridiculous. So we are done ordering to go from shake shack. When our food got here it was freezing, soggy and my shake was melted. Not really "smashin" them like they used to. I've been to this location at least 15 times and today was the first time I've been a little let down. The last 14 times I've been here has been a knock in the park but tonight was noticeably worse. The shake shack style burger is all about the thin, crispy hamburger patty that is a little wider than the bun because of how they smash it against the griddle. This evening's wasn't at all like that because both of my burgers were on the thicker side and not smashed the way they're supposed to be. Hopefully next time will be the thin smashed patty that we're supped to get. read more

I'm so glad a Shake Shack finally opened in Denver! Since it's new, the lines are long. I'd recommend coming right when it opens. In my opinion, Shake Shack is totally worth the hype. It's a great burger with gourmet seasoning and fresh toppings for a very fair price. The shakes and lemonades are delicious and handmade. Worth a shot if you arrive early enough to avoid lines. I went here yesterday afternoon and had a pretty good experience. I got the fried chicken sandwich and it had soooo much breading on it so I had to literally pick off a lot of the fried part of the sandwich and wasn't left with much meat. My friends all got burgers and loved them! The french fries are super tasty too and the staff was very polite. I actually felt bad because a customer yelled at a guy who was working on her to-go order and he handled it well - he was so apologetic and nice. If I go back, I will probably try a burger since all my friends raved about them. They have a lot of eating options inside the restaurant too. Well after a few weeks we decided to see what all the hype was about. We live in the neighborhood and on a Saturday night the line was around the block. We used the app which was the best part of the experience. Skipped the line got our food right on time and went home. It was so busy in there it was overwhelming and I would not want to eat in with the chaos. Our order was one single burger, one double burger, 2 cheese fries, a scoop vanilla/chocolate custard and one black and white shake for $31.00. I honestly was underwhelmed. To me the burger tasted just like smash burger. The fries were good, but way too salty. My husband asked what was for dinner after he ate his double and said the burger was so smashed and small. I guess people like this type of well done patty, but with so many great burgers the neighborhood (park burger blows this place out of the water!!) we probably won't seek shake shack out again. No matter how many people are ordering at those locations, the food always is served quickly and has consistent quality. This branch is a disaster. Routinely, my small orders (smokestack with no bun) take 15+ minutes to serve. Wrapping the hamburger in lettuce instead of a bun seems a Herculean task. Second, the quality of the food is the worst of any branch I've ever visited. Even the airport outposts easily best the offerings here. My advice is to skip this branch, and if you've never visited other locations, don't judge the brand on what you've been served here. read more

I'm pretty disappointed in Shake Shack. This was my first experience there and it was a disaster. I ordered one of their "concretes" and ended up with literal ice cream soup. It was incredibly runny and barely frozen. My boyfriend got the same exact thing as I did and his looked completely different. We got our order to go so I didn't even see how awful it was until it was too late. I attached a picture to show how different mine looks compared to my boyfriends. I've been to Shake Shack in Denver a few times now, and honestly I just don't think I get it. On the upside, it's in a good location with convenient hours and it's faster and more casual than a lot of restaurants nearby. That being said, it's not exactly super fast. You still have to take a buzzer after you order and wait for your food to be made, and while the burgers are totally fine, they aren't memorable at all and their price tag suggests that they should be. Same with the fries. Admittedly I have not yet tried a shake so maybe that will be my lightbulb moment but for now I'll keep dreaming of the day that In N Out comes to Denver read more
