    'Shroom Burger & Cheese Fries
    Dana C.

Made my stomach queasy very greasy & salty. I had the Korean BBQ, I don't know if they accidentally gave me a cheese burger but it had absolutely no barbecue. My daughter had the Shroom burger it was greasy & had way too much cheese. Cheese fries weren't fresh & the cheese was thick & tasted off. Chocolate shake was thick & good. Bathroom was dirty, paper towels on the floor & the garbage was overflowing. Dining room was okay not really clean a little sticky. Staff brought out our order promptly.

I loved the Usinger's Jalapeño Cheesy Brat and the triple Chocolate Brownie Shake. The atmosphere was airy and comfortable. The gal taking our order was nice. Two places they could improve on is the condiment bar. All three ketchup containers were empty. Fries just aren't the same without them. Also water cups are very small.

the burger here was outstanding. i never been to a shake shack before but will seek them out in the future. in my opinion, much better than In and Out burgers. But I also heard from the concierge (from my hotel) that this location is better than others. So, i will locate other Shake Shack locations and experience them myself. But this place served a very very good burger.

My family went to this location on Friday August 27th a little after 7p for dinner. This was their first time trying their food & shakes. They all order burgers, fries, shakes & just an heads up everything is À la cart (dinner will be pricey for a family of 3 or more). They were not impressed by their food, shakes & their burgers are small. We were hoping for delicious food due to reviews but was highly disappointed. A tip for the business: when ordering shakes w/ whipped cream please label on shakes so the customer knows who the shakes belongs too.

Shake shack is overall great! The food came quickly and seems like good quality. I got a hot chicken sandwich and added lettuce, tomato, and pickles which I would highly recommend! It was spicy but had actual flavor as opposed to just being spicy. The fries were fresh and crispy. I love their cheese sauce but prefer it on the side so the fries don't get soggy. I do think for more of a fast food vibe the price is a bit higher than expected but the service is great and they do bring your food to your table which is nice.

The Korean fried chicken sandwich was the only reason for me giving this place a try. It left me a bit disappointed. I guess I had very higher expectations. Ordering and getting our food was a bit longer than I expected, we waiting probably 25-30mins before getting our food, which we order to go. Here's my take on the food. Korean fried chicken sandwich 3/5 Chicken was a bit dried, the sauce didn't wow me, wish it had a little more spicy kick to it. But i doubt it was Koreans that came up with the recipe, correct me if I'm wrong. I've had actually Korean fried chicken and it is bomb but in this sandwich it didn't really work for me. Would I come back it get another one, probably not. Maybe in the future I'll try something else and give another review. For now I'll leave it at this. Fries 2/5 There was nothing special about their fries. Giving my first experience review a 3/5.

I love me some Shake Shack and can't believe I've held out until now on visiting. We were driving around Milwaukee and just wanted something quick when we got a craving for burgers! Their online order system was really easy and within 12 minutes our food was ready! Inside they had good social distance and everyone wore masks. They placed the to go orders on a table all packed up. I had the cookies and cream shake and boy was it devious and creamy! Their burgers are always fresh tasting and I love the crinkle cut fries!

Shake Shack burgers are absolutely delicious. They rival and even exceed most pub-style burgers. So are their chicken sandwiches. My only lament is that they did away with the spicy one. :( One thing I really like about the business - at least this one, 3rd Ward Milwaukee - is that the employees really care. You will never, ever find that ubiquitous "this is just a fast-food restaurant so go f--- yourself" attitude here. They care. I've eaten here at least 50 times.

I LOVE Shake Shack! I'm so happy we finally have a location in Wisconsin. You can't go wrong with a shack burger, cheese fries, and one of their specialty shakes! Their shack burger is a classic burger that is simple yet juicy. I only wish it was bigger. If you're feeling adventurous I would recommend the shack stack. It's their shack burger and shroom burger combined. It's hot and cheesy. Their cheese fries are also generously covered in cheese. I recommend all of their shakes. My favorites have been the holiday sugar cookie and their recent, cookies and cream. The location is great. Parking can be an issue sometimes but not often. People tend to say that Shake Shack is overpriced but I never leave disappointed. I'm definitely willingly to spend the extra couple bucks for fast service and a great burger!

Easy to order from the kiosk. Plenty of food options. Lots of seating. Downtown location is convenient.

Who doesn't love themselves a good burger and shake! So coming to shake shack you should already have a good idea what to expect, but if not here is a quick list! Burgers-Good Shakes-Delicious Fries-Really Good Price for portion- Pricey Overall I personally think shake shack is one of the best places for fast food burgers. It is a little pricey for all you get which is a bummer, but I'm never disappointed on the food! This location lives up to the shake shack standards and I have no complaints!

I like shake shack, but the prices they charge are too high for the little food you get, it's like an upscale Fuddruckers. For example strawberry shake $5.50 really SMH. Also what I noticed about the staff, is that all the black workers are cooks, or working at the cash register. You have 2 white manganger running the show wheres the diversity in management. This is just my observation that's all. THIRD WARD IS THE NEXT (SELMA).

**July 2025: Wednesday Lunch Visit**…read more While I was researching iconic food in Wisconsin I came across an item called Butter Burger which sounded so decadent and delicious. My friend and I were only exploring Milwaukee for a day so we wanted to make sure that we picked a good spot to try this region favorite. AJ Bombers came up consistently ranked on top for really great burgers. We came on a weekday so parking was pretty easy, but it is metered street parking. The restaurant is located at the corner of a large building and since we arrived right at opening we were seated right away. We ordered the following -Cheese Curds $9 - These were delicious. Nice and crispy, almost had an airfried texture to it so it tasted healthier than others that I've tried -Bomb Butter Burger $14 - The meat was very juicy and overall a good burger -Milwaukee Burger $12.50 - This was a fantastic burger and I think I preferred this to the Bomb Butter Burger. The flavors were more balanced IMHO -Tater Tots and Fries: The burgers all came with a side and I enjoyed both! They were freshly fried and served hot. The tots made me feel really nostalgic since those were things I remember eating growing up. The unfortunate news is that this restaurant despite all the accolades will be closing later in 2025. It's served Milwaukee for 16 years and while I'm bummed that they'll be closing their doors later this year I'm glad that I got enjoy one of Milwaukee's best. If you get a chance to check them out their decor also has a lot of personality.

I haven't been in years, but it was sad to see that they don't give out peanut like they used to and they were not all over the floor. There was a singular waitress there but she was nice and checked in on us. I ordered the Milwaukee Burger. I loved the onions on it and added tomato to it. I thought the burger itself was ok. Not too much flavor, I wish it was a little more pink. It would've been better if the bun was more toasted as well. I ordered onion rings, fried pickles, and cheese curds. Cheese curds and onion rings were really good, but the frickles were huge and every time I would take a bite the pickle would come out of the batter and I would be stuck with the plain batter alone. Overall loved the ambiance and I was miss Aj Bombers and its history.

It is a ln old school, classic vibe. I enjoyed all the sports decor and memorabilia on the walls. Right off the bat, one of the things that stood out to me was how incredibly affordable this place was! Looking at the prices, I was surprised that you could get a burger here for around twelve bucks including fries. That's like fast food prices. Most restaurants charge way more than that and don't include fries, so this place is an amazing bargain! We got their cheese balls, which were cheese curds. These were not bad. I do prefer a more beer battered curd, but I didn't mind these. I also got a bacon cheeseburger called The Loser. In reality, it tastes like a winner. The bread bun is amazing, so soft and fresh. The burger is juicy and flavorful. It's also not too crazy big where all the toppings fall apart. The fries were also crispy and tasty. Our server was also very kind and attentive. She gave us sugar cookies at the end of our meal, which was a nice treat. Overall, I enjoyed coming here. I would come here again to catch a game and enjoy a drink and some bites. You get a decent burger that is also a good bang for your buck.

Saw this place on the walk back to our car and stopped in for a couple drinks and some appetizers. We were very happy we did. We sat at the bar and it was fairly empty at the time, which was a Thursday around 1pm. The bar is so beautiful with all of the copper details. It feels very clean with an upscale look but doesn't feel like it's too fancy to stop in on a regular day. Our bartender was awesome and she was training a new person that day so she was happy when we chose some fun cocktails for the newbie to make. Our favorite was the Beet Marshall. Oh my gosh is this a delicious cocktail! Unique too! Very refreshing, light. And fantastic color! My partner tried the Rhubarb Negroni which was also very good but we both decided Beet Marshall was the winner! We had the fresh pork rinds for an appetizer, came out sizzlin and poppin! Yes!! We also had the Cajun dill curds they were really good, not too heavy with just enough seasoning. I think this place is a great spot to check out anytime! Nestled among a lively stretch of bars and restaurants, it has a fun atmosphere that makes it easy to settle in for a few hours. I stopped by during March Madness, and despite it being the middle of the day, the place was buzzing with fans watching the tournament. The bartender--who was the only one working at the time--did a phenomenal job keeping up with the crowd. While drinks occasionally took a little longer, she handled the rush with professionalism and a great attitude. One thing that really stood out was the bar itself; it's impressively long, possibly the biggest I've seen in a venue of this size. The food was exactly what you want from a sports bar: satisfying, flavorful, and the perfect complement to an afternoon of college basketball. I'd definitely stop back to watch another game.

While other restaurants in the district had hour and a half plus waits, we practically owned the place sitting wherever we liked. On event days they have a reduced menu. As they were slow, the kitchen gracefully allowed us to place a regular menu Crustless Grilled Cheese with Tomato Bisque order for our kiddo. I ordered the LP Burger with bacon ($14 + $2.5 - double smash, sharp american cheese, shredded lettuce, fresh tomato, shaved red onion, LP sauce, potato roll) and my wife ordered the Potato Chip Crusted Chicken Sammy ($12 - honey mop glaze, mayo, shredded lettuce and pickles). The bar has a fair amount of good bourbons and at decent prices for being in the deer district, such as the double neat pour of Stagg I had. There was one bartender/server for the place, but she knew how to hustle while still being super friendly. The interior could use some art on the walls, but is bright and clean otherwise. The food was delicious and presented very well. That bacon I paid extra for? Oh my goodness. Thick cut, perfectly cooked, so dang good. Usually I regret adding bacon but here it is a must. My 8-year-old kiddo, who is practically a vegetarian at this point, devoured her grilled cheese and half of the big bowl of soup. I never even saw my wife's chicken sammy, so you know it was good when it goes down that fast. Thankfully as our food arrived the place started to fill, as they deserve to be filled! I want to come back on a non-event day to try the shrimp poboy, their house dry rub wings, as well as on the weekend for their brunch.
