Shalom is honest!!! I recently had my check engine light on for my 2018 Ford Expedition. I went to a Sugar Land repair shop and they diagnosed the issue as needing 2 catalytic converts. I took it to Shalom for a second opinion. He told me that it would still be covered under Fords Emissions warranty of 8 years/80,000 miles and not the 5 year 50,000 mile. He told me to bring it back to the dealer and get it fixed for free. Shalom could have never gave me that info and quoted lower than the Sugar Land shop. Instead, he was honest. I called the shop to let them know that my car was not braking well and that I thought that the breaks might require bleeding. I had used the shop several times before, and in each case, they told me that they would do an assessment to determine what the problem was. In this case, the counter representative said that they would check out the car and that the breaks might require flushing. I brought the car in yesterday morning, and around early afternoon, they told me that they would be flushing the breaks. At the end of the day, they told me that the car was ready, and I picked it up as the shop was closing. When I drove away, I knew that the brakes had the same problem as it did when I left it. I called back and they told me to bring it back this morning, which I did. Late in the afternoon today, they told me that they had bled the brakes again and felt the the problem was either the master cylinder or the ABS, but they did not know which and would not commit to making the repair or refunding the money that I spent the day before which did nothing to improve the performance of my car's braking system. I tried to complain to the owner, "John", and he rudely talked over me and then hung up the phone. I was referred to this shop by a friend who had used the shop for years, but stopped some time before my last visit. After I told her what I went through, she told me that her last encounter was similarly poor. I'm reminded again why it's important to go to a quality auto repair shop. I had a slow leak in my tire and took it to a shop near my house in Rosenberg. They said they pulled a nail out and patched the hole. The next day the low tire light came on and I took it back to them and they claimed they looked at it for 40 minutes and said there was no leak but the tire pressure was low. I took it to John this afternoon. First of all he got it in right away, and his guys found a leak in five minutes. Outstanding job! These guys are the best! Do not recommend this repair shop. They damaged my husband's transmission without getting his permission to move or repair it in the first place. Now they expect him to pay over $3k for a van that is no longer running. Additionally, they are holding his work van hostage. All of his tools and equipment are in the van and they refuse to allow him to gather his possessions. They are affecting our livelihood at this point. We have tried reasoning with them but they refuse to cooperate. read more

I was referred to John by AAA when my car overheated. I requested for John to complete a full inspection of my work van to make sure nothing else major is going on. John informed me that I had a bad heater valve. I also told John that I had a small oil leak coming from my rear main engine seal according to my dealer Chevy. John then told me to bring my work van back next month so he can confirm if there is a leak from rear main seal. So John gave me an estimate for $1,000 to fix my heater valve which I approved. A week later John's office employee Melissa called me to inform me my work van was ready for pickup. I asked her if the van had been test-driven. she said yes. So I arrived to pick my work van up after paying. I left and turned on my A/C which didn't work then realized my radio didn't work either. So I called Melissa. I told her my radio and A/C was not working and she told me to bring the work van back which I did. John , the mechanic, said he forgot to reconnect the A/C wires which was taken care of but not the radio. Unfortunately he said there is nothing they can do about that. It must have happened when the van overheated. I said okay but this didn't sound right to me. A month later my engine oil began to leak more so I took it back in to John's shop and again I asked John and Melissa to fully inspect the van and check all fluid levels, brakes, and codes, if any. John said it was leaking from the valve cover gasket so I asked John about the rear main seal which the dealer informed me, was leaking from. John said he would like to repair the valve cover gasket first and see if it was still leaking oil. So John repaired the valve cover gasket and did my back brakes and aligned my work van as well. The bill was about $2K which I paid. A month later, my engine oil was leaking really bad. My engine light came on, reading low engine oil pressure and instructed to turn car off, which I did. I called John to let him know and he told me to bring it in which I did. John then informed me that it is leaking from rear main seal. So I asked him if I need to get a new work van. John replied that there was no (?) that he can fix rear main sealed that is leaking oil. So I told John before repairing rear main seal, to please check to make sure nothing else is wrong with my work van. And also email John's office staff as well to inspect my work van. I called John's office to get an ETA. Melissa answered my call and she wasn't too happy and had an attitude like she didn't want to be bothered. She said my van would be ready on Friday so I told her that I need to get some tools from my work van and asked if I could come over. She said yes. When I arrived, my car was on a lift still so I asked about it. John said he had to remove the transmission out again cause the van was not shifting. I asked if it would be ready the next day. John confirmed that the van would be available. After leaving, I got a call from Melissa, instead of John, informing me that she had "good and bad news". "Good news" was rear main seal was. replaced and repaired, and the "bad news" is transmission is now bad. Melissa told me she would have to charge me for the transmission and my reply was "why should I have to pay for a transmission that your mechanics damage?"Melissa was rude and said if I didn't pay, I would not get my work van back. I informed Melissa I would rather buy a new van since the mechanic shop refuses to pay for my transmission which they damaged. The repair shop, Shalom, wanted over $3K and now they refuse to return my work van. Finally, I will report John and his company to BBB, consumer report, and take him to small claims court. Please don't use or recommend this company to your family or friends . This mechanic shop is run by dishonest people and will hold customers' cars if damaged by them and if you decide not to approve their estimate. John and Melissa never informed me or asked me to sign a waiver regarding transmission. They failed to inform me, as the customer, of the possibility of permanent damage when replacing rear main seal and transmission. I would like my work van back A.S.A.P. if John not willing to replace my transmission that he damage by accident or due to his inexperience. Or release my van that is not working due to a damage transmission cause by John. I have tried to work with john and his team and they refuse to work with me instead they put the blame on me and refuse to reply to my emails. read more

I took my vehicle to Shalom Auto body Clinic to get serviced. the vehicle is a 2012 Mercedes Benz. It needed a "C" service: check the fluids, oil & filter change, check the wiper blades. This repair shop called and said I had a bad coil and he recommended that all 6 coils should be changed along with 6 plugs and also 6 gaskets. I said go ahead and change them. My wife picked the vehicle up and drove it home. the next day the car just lost power and stopped. Took the vehicle back to Shalom. They could not find out what them problem was. Took my car to Mercedes Greenway. The Intake valve was leaking because of bad gaskets. Mercedes Benz gave me the gaskets that they removed. Shalom never replaced the 6 gaskets but charged me $75. Shalom's deception of saying he changed the gaskets caused the Intake Valve system to Leak. Mercedes Benz provided me with the physical evidence. I have a law suit against Shalom Auto Body Clinic For Deceptive Trade Practice. I would never ever do business with this Repair Shop again. Because this repair shop is a Triple AAA Repair shop I reported them to Triple AAA. John who is the shop owner and his receptionist ( Malissa ), cursed my wife out and demanded that she leave the shop when she requested a refund. We paid Shalom $1347.33 to service our vehicle. Three days later we had to pay $1250 to Mercedes Benz to correct a problem caused by Shalom's Auto Repair where they charged me but did not replace the 6 Gaskets and this caused the Intake System to Leak. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO SHALOM AUTO! Worst experience ever! Shalom replaced an engine 7 months ago. The engine failed after 7 months, but was covered under warranty. The vehicle was with Shalom for a month and not repaired. We were given over 10 different dates the car would be ready, when we called to verify we could pick-up the vehicle on that date there would be an excuse, e.g. the mechanics were given time off and no one was working; there are other customers ahead of you - this was after a month, who was ahead of us after a month! Once, we called and she told us the mechanic broke something on the car and needed to replace it. I get accidents happen, but Shalom didn't call us to disclose the accident. Every single time there was an excuse why we could not pick-up the car. We never received a call from Shalom giving any status update, and the only way we found out information was to call the rude, dishonest and unprofessional lady at the front desk. I emailed a complaint to the owner, who to this date, NEVER responded, never picked up the phone to call and attempt to mitigate the issue or provide any rationale why our repair was taking over a month. I also told the front desk lady to let the owner know I had a significant complaint, again to date, no response. After being told the only thing remaining was to put the bumper back on our car, we arrived at the shop the following morning to what was a blatant lie. The car still needed 3 hours of repairs. We literally had to camp out in the lobby and force the mechanic to repair the vehicle (to which he had an obvious attitude). Within a day of receiving the car back, the check engine light was back on. The mechanic failed to even plug back in the MAP sensor, and had put only a small amount of oil in the engine. Ridiculous! The shop likes to give the impression it is a Christian-based company, but hanging crosses on your wall and placing Bibles in the lobby does not equate to integrity or ethics. Transparency, follow-up, ethical work and honest communication was not my experience with this company. If you want respect, truthful and timely communication, and correct repairs to your car, then DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO SHALOM! read more

Great shop! I have been coming to Shalom before their building was finished. At first it was a shop near by but now even after I have moved further away and I still make the drive here. John and his team are always knowledgable and super friendly. Their prices are more than fair compared to other local shops. I have been here for easy things such as a simple state inspection to getting the whole side of my truck fixed after an accident using an insurance claim. One time he took me on a tour of the shop to show me the equipment and paint booth and I was shocked everything is state of the art. They matched the paint perfectly! It's a body shop, not a restaurant, but you can tell they take pride in their place. I picked up my car today and am very happy with the results. They not only did great work on my car, but handled all the paperwork with the insurance company directly. They returned my car in a timely manner and it was much cleaner inside and out than it was when I took it in!
