PHENOMENAL!! To say I was impressed with North Bay is an understatement! Let's start from the beginning. I have been looking for a cabriolet 2018 Audi S5 Cabriolet for at least a month, either they were sold by the time the dealer got to me or the price wasn't right. I saw that North Bay had a few on their lot(which is unheard of) and I contacted them about a particular S5 Premium Plus. It was after hours and they got back to me next day, and we began the process. From the pictures, the car looked immaculate, low miles, off lease and a fantastic price. As I work and live in NY and they are in CT, I was looking to do the deal online. I contacted many dealerships outside of my area that would only talk to me if I drove to their dealer, some as far as Virginia. Being out of state was no problem from the team at North Bay. Put in a credit app online and they went to work to make the deal work. My credit has some dings and this was going to be third vehicle that we financed. A lot of banks wanted us to trade in one of the vehicles but we were looking to have three, as my son needed a car and we were going to be gifting him one of the cars. I don't know what or how they did it, but they were able to not only find a bank willing to accept the terms but the rate was very agreeable. Gave me a call and email on a Saturday to tell me the deal was done. Again, like no dealer I have ever dealt with, they asked for no deposit and started to prep the car for pick up! They put the car through their shop, full check up, and even put on a set of BRAND NEW, HIGH END tires! We drove up to CT from Long Island, NY to pick up the car on a Saturday am. Since we purchased the car sight on seen, it was the first time being at the dealer and seeing the car. Timmy and the team immediately welcomed us, had the detailed car bought around with temp plates for us to drive before taking care of the paperwork! The car was beautifully detailed and in absolute phenomenal shape, it looked like it just came of the factory line. Timmy took us through the pay work, and it was seamless! No high pressure add on nonsense, just a small dealer fee(which wouldn't even cover the cost of new tires on this particular car) and we added GAP insurance. Less than 40 minutes, in and out with a beautiful S5 cabriolet! This place is what a car buying experience should be, especially with cars at this price point! I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a late model luxury vehicle that is perfect condition, low miles, great price with ZERO HASSELE OR dealer BS! Warning: Loyal 6-Year Customer & Car Buyer Held Hostage Over Unauthorized Work I have been a loyal customer of North Bay Imports for six years. I bought my car directly from them and have had every single service done at this shop since the day I purchased it. Since the old crew (Dallas and John) left, the honesty is gone. I just paid $1,600 and was treated with utter disrespect and predatory billing. The Breaking Point: The "Secret" Repairs: I brought my car in for a noise. I authorized a drive shaft repair and axle work (which Nicole, the advisor, initially tried to charge for until I reminded her they were under warranty from their own shop). Billing "Errors": My bill was initially $1,900. When I questioned it, I found Nicole had added a diagnostic fee. In six years of buying and servicing my car here, I have never been charged a diagnostic fee when getting the actual repair done. She only took it off the bill because I caught it and called her out. The Pickup Ambush: When I went to pick up my car today, Nicole suddenly claimed I needed an oil change and sway bar links--items she never mentioned in the two weeks they had my car. The Mileage Lie: I just had an oil change there on 1/29. I haven't even driven the miles for a new one. She tried to claim the previous staff recorded the miles wrong--a total lie to cover up a money grab. Illegal Detention: Because I declined the surprise work and the brakes, Nicole refused to give me my keys unless I signed a separate "danger waiver." She told me they had the right to keep my car even though I was paying in full for the repairs I authorized. This is a violation of CT law. Zero Accountability: I confronted Nicole in front of the female part-owner with my text records proving she never mentioned the extra work. Despite being a customer who bought the car there and only services it there, the owner was completely indifferent and stood by while her staff was untruthful. I was forced to sign their waiver under protest just to get my property back. It is heartbreaking to see a business I once trusted turn into a place that uses fear and illegal coercion to make a sale. Save yourself the stress--take your vehicle somewhere else. read more

I'm writing this experience for two reasons: 1. To inform you to always do your due diligence when making any purchase, but especially a large purchase. If I had shown up at this dealer in the morning to purchase this car and found this out in the moment, it would have been a problem. 2. To encourage car salespeople to 'do better'. I've met some great ones, but most of my experience has been disappointing. Dec 5th, 2025 North Bay Imports in East Windsor, CT and I recently settled on a price for a car, and they sent me a deal sheet. I sent North Bay Imports a deposit and they prepped the car for sale. Financing was in place, insurance for the car was acquired and an appointment was set to pick up the car. In the meantime, I had been in contact with Audi corporate and they, Audi, sent me the original window sticker for the car. When I looked at the original window sticker, the car options listed on North Bay Imports website and the original window sticker did not match. The option missing, that is listed on North Bay Imports website for the car I ordered is the AC charging package, and it is an $1,850 package. I immediately reached out to North Bay Imports to see where the mistake was. The next morning the Sales Manager, Steve Powers, leaves a message saying that, in fact, the mistake was theirs. In Steve's message to me when I pointed out the discrepancy he said, "It looks like the vehicle that we were on doesn't have charging ports on both sides, but it still has the same capability to charge on a level 1, level 2 or level 3 through that one port..." Steve, no it does not have the same capability because the AC charging option adds a 19.2kW AC onboard charger. Justin, the salesperson, swore it was a mistake and not deception so whoever is reading this will have to decide that for themselves. The comments made to me by Justin, after I told him that this was "stereotypical dealer B.S. (I said the entire word)", were, "...I'm glad you caught it because that would have been a bad trip for ya." He also said, "...I've been here for four years, this is the first time this has happened to me, generally it doesn't." Generally?? And then he says, "I didn't know, or we didn't know, that the, the second charging port was a sticking point for you..." Sticking Point? That's like saying that if they knew that a sunroof was important to me, we would have told me there wasn't a sunroof even though they advertised that the car had a sunroof. He was acting like this was my fault. Unbelievable. Assuming an $1,850 option isn't important to anyone shows the lack of care and accountability when it comes to listing their cars. And so, since we were supposed to pick this car up in less than 24 hours, I gave them the option of taking the cost of the missing option, in which they admitted was their mistake, off the price of the car or give us our $500 deposit back. Steve's response was, "We're not discounting the car." Discounting the car, he says? That's an interesting choice of words considering the almost $2,000 option missing from the car they were attempting to sell me. The one thing I can say is that they refunded me my deposit very quickly. Too bad they just wasted two weeks of my car search. This dealer is two hours away from our home, we rented a car, had our cashier's check in hand and ready to go. You know that feeling you have when you're about to get a new (new to us) car? North Bay Imports ruined that for us. The vehicle we were going to purchase was labeled "Sale Pending" on their website. The "Sale Pending" label was removed almost immediately after returning my deposit. But you know what still remains? Yup. The false and misleading information about the car is still on their website. I said I mostly post reviews for food but made an exception with North Bay. It is a no haggle dealer, prices are very fair. No dealer could come close to the pricing. I was speaking with two other dealers in fact and did a ton of research on the web. I worked with Rick on purchasing my E350. Rick is a no pressure sales person, extremely polite and came through on all requests I had made. I received a pretty good price for my trade in also. Rick had some minor touch ups completed, installed a new cabin filter, and wiper blades. This facility flips cars fast! If you see something you like, I recommend you go there ASAP to see the car and give it a spin. I live about 40 minutes from here and it is well worth the trip. Hire a third party inspector to come look at their cars. They will lie about their "certified" car selection. You'll see below how a valve cover sealant/gasket was leaking and the wouldn't repair it. Jon P informed myself over the phone that "in our opinion it isn't leaking". If you don't ask questions, they won't tell you anything. Chris, and Jon come up with excuses, and do not tell the truth. In my opinion their vehicles aren't "certified " to a high standard. See below their attempt to super glue a center arm rest back vent part together in their "certified to manufacture specs" vehicles. Bottom line, use caution. Look at other poor reviews. Went In cash ready to purchase a car . Walked in the door and the man at the stand up desk couldn't be bothered to even look up from his computer to greet my wife and I. After standing there waiting to be acknowledged for 5 minutes We explained that we were there to test drive and purchase a vehicle on the lot . He walked into the sales area , then back out to tell us someone would be right with us . We waited in the waiting area for 15 minutes without speaking with a sales rep . I have to be honest - I'm having a very difficult time with this review. You see, I'm trying to get to this level in my reviews where 5 stars are truly hard to come by - I mean - a place would have to be absolutely 100% perfect. And since perfection is truly hard, almost impossible to come by, most of my favorite places / places that I truly love have 4 stars. That isn't to say that there was anything wrong with the place at all, but again - perfection isn't easy to come by. And thus my dilemma with North Bay Imports. I'm very tempted to give it 5 stars but I don't want to seem like I'm caving in to my new rating system already. So how about this - if Yelp could support 4.5 stars, that would be my rating here. So North Bay Imports gets a 4.5 from me. It was truly one of the easiest and more pleasant car buying experiences I've ever had. And considering that I live in NJ and North Bay is in Hartford, CT - that's saying something. So why buy a car that was located 3.5 hours from my house? Several reasons: 1) Price. The price of the vehicle that I was looking at was far better than anything I was able to find locally for practically identical cars. Based on the wholesale value of that particular make and model with similar mileage, the car was priced perfectly. That meant no haggling, no shadiness, nothing. 2) Quality and appearance of the vehicle. I've been toying with the idea of getting a convertible for years now and when I finally settled on an Audi (the evil winter of 2010/2011 pretty much dictated that all-wheel drive was a must and unless you have the cash for a Porsche, Bentley, or Lamborghini, Audi is your only bet) - I became addicted to the autotrader. No where even remotely close-by offered a vehicle with exactly the options that I wanted with the mileage threshold that I was comfortable with. There was one, but after taking a peek at it on a dealer's lot, I ran away as the condition was scary. Not the case at North Bay. The car was in perfect condition and was clean as a whistle. It looked brand new. Apparently, there was a ding in one of the panels and a scratch on the bumper, but it was repaired before we picked up the car. 3) Ease of transaction. As I mentioned earlier, this was probably the easiest buying experience I've had. Dave Mason (the owner and our contact) was extremely easy to work with. 100% top-notch and above the bar. There are stereotypes of used car dealers. You absolutely won't find that here. I should mention that while the paperwork was being finalized, we were talking with a customer that was there having the oil changed on his A8. He told us that this was his second purchase here and has never had a problem. Same buying experience as us and top-notch service. In the past, I've drove away from a dealer with either a sense of remorse ("I think I just got ripped off!") or feeling the need to take a shower from all the sleaziness. North Bay isn't like that. In short, these people are saints. Here's the deal: I was moving to Vermont from New York, and when I went to load my car with stuff, I discovered someone had broken the window. Oh well, I thought, and I covered it with a plastic bag and got on my way. Right outside of Hartford, my battery light came on, and the charge meter started dipping - my alternator was dying. In a panic I pulled into parking at Bradley Airport and rented a car to go the rest of the way, leaving my car in a parking lot in the airport, with a dead battery and a broken window. Fast forward to the following week: looking for nearby service center, we discovered North Bay. We called Chris in the service department, and it was the best decision we could have made. Not only did he help us recover/tow the car from the airport, but he took the car in and got us back in tip top shape in no time: he replaced the alternator, replaced the window, and even replaced a wiper someone had snapped off a month prior. On top of that, he disproved a fake "bad" CV boot that a Vermont inspection station had claimed we had, and gave me advice on the future suspension maintenance on the vehicle. In short, this place is awesome. Not only did they save my ass, but they were helpful, above and beyond, and all at an amazing price. Ok. So go with me here. This company is awesome and for the following story... I found a steal of a deal on their website. They're in Connecticut, I live in south Jersey, but was working in South Carolina at that moment.. These guys quickly responded to my emails, were very HONEST about EVERYTHING, and couldn't have made the deal any easier so much so that within 48 I actually got on an airplane and FLEW to Connecticut to pick up my car. There were 3 glitches after I drove it back to Jersey. One, it didn't have floor mats, so they were upfront about it, ordered them, and they're on their way. Two, they inadvertently gave me an incorrect key. No problem, they ordered me a brand new one from BMW. Third, the advertisement said "satellite radio with one year free". The car didn't have the satellite option and when I took it to my local bmw dealer, they said it would cost about $600 to install the hardware. The guys at North Shore didn't flinch and stood by their word!!! And here, I'm 250 miles away and the deal was already done! Just awesome.. Went to look at an Audi A4 one Sunday afternoon. Walked in and met with a guy named Mark who made us feel like we were bothering him. He made no attempt to get of his chair to greet us and shake our hands. He gave us the key to the car and said "go have fun kids" ugh I'm not a damn kid. The key he gave us was the wrong one the first time and I had to walk all the way back into the office and ask for the right key in the pouring rain. All this while he stayed inside and played on the computer, and never came out once to check on us or answer any questions. Talk about lazy or what? The car was very clean and detailed amazingly. Filling out the credit application online before I drove the 3 hours to Connecticut allowed me to close transaction within 2 hours. This included loan origination, inspection of my trade, inspection of the car and a 3 mile test drive. The pricing of the vehicle I purchased was more than fair, I would argue better than any other outlet and their appraisal of my trade was the most generous quote I received (checked with the dealer I purchased from and from other used car purchasing services). They are a no haggle dealer but worked with me to get where I wanted to be. As it was a used car there were some scratches to be taken care of and they did a beautiful job, car looks brand new and they detailed it again for me after they took care of scratches.
