First; the workers who came to do the job were polite, professional and knew their job and did it well. That's the only reason they are getting at least 2 stars. This is to tell you to use caution when discussing price. When I ordered a non emergency septic pump out I was quoted $545, which I thought was pricey but saw their good reviews. After the job I was charge $690. When I inquired about the jump in price I was told it was an extra $100 because they had to dig to get to septic lid. True, they had to dig a mere 3 inches and di not have to search for the tank. If I had been told this up front, I would have dug myself or used another company. I have been on septic for decades and never been itemized like this before. Digging (within reason) was always part of the price. Again, I wish I was told about their itemization up front. Then they added $25 to clean the filter which was a 2 minute job consisting of pulling it out a swishing it around in the waste water. Finally, a 3% credit card fee which I was not told about or given the opportunity to pay by check. So, although they did a good job, make sure you ask a lot of questions about their pricing policy before hiring. As for me, I'll be using another company next time. read more

Septic tank was neglected for 20 years. Called shamrock septic got an appointment. I got a call 30 minutes prior to the appointment notifying me when he would arrive. He arrived looked over the job and went to work. I wanted the septic pumped, filter cleaned and raisers installed. This guy did not screw around. He knock it out, did everything I wanted done. The people that operate this business and show up at your home are the BEST. Recently needed there assistance in a pump out ,however one of the access lids was under my shed under 18 inches of ground,the other outside area but also 18 inches of ground. Two fellows came out uncovered the first lid,then proceeded to cut a section of our shed floor out and uncovered the other. This along with the pump out ,extending pump out lids above ground was all completed in a couple hours,and site itself returned too my satisfaction. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! The worst customer service experience I have had yet in Blue Ridge! They charged me $250 to head out to my property just to locate the tank. Then gave me an estimate of $2,700 to pump it. Another company did it....for the cost (Triple R septic)...they also said it was 3 feet deep (much less). I tried resolving matters with the company and had no resolution or help. I, in fact, was called "hyperbolic". Absolutely horrible service. We were quoted for one price, then the guy charged more than he stated because the tank was less than 1 foot deeper than he expected (and we had dug out a great deal. Then he stated he charged $100 for every hose he had to use, then refused to pull his truck close to the tank so he could drag more out. (He could have pulled as it was a road for tractors that have used for several decades.) The guy was truly blessed with a lack of personality as well. We just bought a house up in Blue Ridge. We had another company inspect the septic system when we were not there. After having Richard from Shamrock come out, I'm pretty sure we got ripped off. Richard came by to complete the work that the other company quoted us and in the end, pointed out that we didn't need the repairs which saved us time and money. Richard actually taught me how a septic works ( I've always been on a sewer system) which is important when you are taking care of one especially because I feel you are less likely to get ripped off when you are informed..... The finishing touch that I really liked was that he cleaned up before he left too. The other company destroyed my garden and left a HUGE mess! From now on Shamrock is our Septic servicer! read more
