Love Laura and her staff. Beautiful rooms, great priced too. Animal friendly and a guest lounge to hang with the kitties!

When evaluating hotels, I always look at the same things…read more First of all, how is the lobby. In this case, the lobby was bright cheery yet had ample seating for folks to talk and congregate . Second, I consider lighting both in the hallways and the lobby and in the room. In this case, the lighting at all of those locations was quite good if not,l excellent. Third, I consider water pressure. Hotels have a way of putting all these flow restrictors on faucets so that folks can't really wash off the soap and subsequently end up walking around with oily matted hair. Water pressure for me is a key variable when deciding whether or not to stay at a given location and, one of the reasons I often times regret staying at a particular location. In this case, the water pressure was good to good plus. Fourth , I take a look at add-ons, do they have a bar, do they have a restaurant, do they have a pool or hot tub, etc. ? In this case they had a restaurant on site which was nice along with a bar. Both of these were a great feature for hanging out with folks. They also had a pool. Finally, I look at Service. Will they provide and do they provide daily turnover of the room? Are the folks at the front desk available, and eager to help? In both of these cases at this particular location all of that was true. The folks at the front desk were nice. They were willing to turn over the room daily. No complaints here. For all of these reasons, I would give this place one notch up from average.

The room was on the back side and looked out on a nice green landscape, we weren't too far from many places to eat but I think we just got something to-go at Guido's which is right in front (it's more of a grocery store but they have plenty of prepared food options). I still like Hampton a bit better as they include breakfast but this is a nice alternative.

BEWARE of this Hotel and its unprofessional, and downright cruel GENERAL MANAGER - LAURA RUMMEL!!!!…read more We had a terrible encounter here at this Hampton Inn with Laura Rummel, General Manager. I would steer clear of this hotel and go elsewhere if you are able to as she is unprofessional, rude and condescending. I have been a loyal Hampton Inn customer for decades and a DIAMOND HILTON member, and have never in my life had a negative interaction with any hotel personnel, particularly a General Manager! This is my first complaint, but I felt it was quite necessary to help others to avoid this abuse. My 5 year old daughter attempted to get a paper cup off of the counter during breakfast, and was scolded by Ms. Rummel and told no that she could not get a cup. My daughter came back crying hysterically. I approached Ms. Rummel and asked what she had said to my daughter since she was crying, and was told that she told her NO bc she was "messing up her teas." I looked over and saw 2 tea bags that were somewhat out of place. I asked my daughter to clarify what had happened, and she stated that she was trying to get the cup and the teas got caught on her sweater, so she was placing them back. I went back to discuss this misunderstanding with Ms. Rummel, who was adamant that my daughter was out to mess up the coveted teabags here. So, I asked her name and explained to her that I thought she was unkind for making my daughter cry, and that it was odd that she did not feel badly or even attempt to apologize for making a child cry. **She blatantly told me that SHE WAS NOT GOING TO APOLOGIZE, and that my daughter should not be messing up her teabags and that she should not have been unaccompanied (mind you - 6 ft from where we were eating breakfast in a clear vantage point of me). I informed her I would be making a complaint with Hampton and she told me she "DID NOT CARE, BECAUSE AS THE GENERAL MANAGER - ALL COMPLAINTS COME TO HER ANYWAYS." After I told her I would be calling corporate, she continued to double down on this statement multiple times that it didn't matter, since the complaints come to her.** So, BEWARE if you choose this hotel that clearly Ms. Rummel is an unhinged individual with a power complex, and will not care about your well-being, and, in fact, overtly try to to make you feel unwelcome and uncomfortable. Save yourself some frustration and mental anguish and stay at another Hilton property, or at least until Ms. Rummel has been replaced.

Loved that there were fire pits and wood available, though we didn't get to use them. Stunning roadside pool was neat, clean and decorated so cutely. Love the lobby and bbq areas. What a fun place this would be to stay with a group! Close to Tanglewood (where we saw the legendary James Taylor), Clark Museum, hiking trails and skiing. In fact, though summer, we picked up breakfast at Jiminy Peak and road the chairlift to see the views! The website was clear that they did not have food or a liquor license on site, so we knew to drive to the fabulous general store a mile or so away to get our snacks, including milk to enjoy with the coffee pots in the room and the Kerug in the lobby. Nothing ruins the vibe like coffee mate.

I passed the Springs Motel once when I was in the area and decided that on my next work trip, I'd stay there. I stayed for two nights, and it's a very cool place with comfortable, clean rooms. Love the retro fridge and decor. The hotel has been renovated and reopened, and after talking with the maintenance guy, it sounds like they're doing a lot of great things now and for the future. I was really only at the motel in the evenings to shower and sleep, and it was great. I do wish the lobby were open earlier and later--I think right now the hours are 9 AM to 6 PM. I only stuck around on my last morning so I could see it. It's very cool and retro. I snapped some pics before heading out.
