We were hesitant reading the reviews but need not have been. The rooms we stayed in, 131 and 133 were perfectly clean, and up-to-date. Bed and sheets were clean and crisp, towels were nice and fluffy. If you are not the type that flips out because the water didn't get hot in two seconds, you'll perfectly happy here. In similar fashion if you don't mind that breakfast is not available right now (even if it is mentioned in their ad), you'll be fine here. It's not like you are being deprived of a fabulous breakfast spread anyway. For those wondering about the lobby and shoe situation: The lobby was scrubbed with and smelled like bleach / sanitizer, and there were very few shoes in the lobby area, which, come on, is not a big deal. The parking lot was basic, but I saw they had planted dozens of plants in buckets to make that space more festive and pretty, I think that's neat and shows the owner / manager cares. My guess is that some rooms are updated while others are not so if you want to stay at this economically priced motel in an otherwise expensive area, ask nicely and see if they'll have a room for you. read more

Our room was clean, well-running and quiet a/c, spotless bathroom ... mini fridge and microwave. The exterior needs a good cleaning and serious renovation (the lobby is a mess). We needed a place to stay for one night, and this was perfectly fine. read more

The place is a dump. We had to buzz a doorbell to get in. There were signs on the plexiglass around the clerk saying 'don't bang on glass.' Two older people were sitting in chairs in the parking lot. The key didn't open the room door, so we declined to stay. Were still charged and had to open a credit card dispute. Run, run away! read more

BUYER BEWARE!!!!! Worst Hotel Ever!!!! Consistent with everything that other reviews have suggested over the past 5 years or so, this place is absolutely disgusting! The property is dirty and in disrepair throughout. The staff if unfriendly and incompetent and could care less about the customers, rarely present, keeping the front door locked even during business hours. Lobby and breakfast area are off limits to customers and instead a playroom for the owners kids. Rooms are dark, dirty, dingy and disgusting. I did not stay long enough to check for bedbugs but I believe other customers who indicated they may be present. Despite all of the negative reviews over many years neither the owners of this property or EconoLodge or Choice Hotel organizations have taken any steps to improve it. Trust me when I say that the property is not at all as described or pictured on any marketing sites. You will be quite disappointed when you arrive and will NOT get a refund if you refuse to stay. DO NOT BELIEVE the glowing reviews. They are obviously fake in an effort to maintain at least a rating of 2 rather than the 1 they deserve. read more

DO. NOT. STAY. HERE. Rented through Priceline (do not use them, they refused to help). This place has violated its building code. The toilets are filthy. The place has bedbugs and reeks of weed. There is a shoe sitting in the "lobby" which has plexiglass, like a safety feature. The door lock is not secure. You will deeply regret this. We drove all night rather than stay here after checking in. I've lived all over the world, including war zones. This is on par. Would give negative stars if I could. read more

I would not recommend staying at this hotel/lodge again. The outside was worn down. You had to go outside to get to your room. They advertised continental breakfast, there was none. I gave it a 2 because the room was cleaned but a little worn down. Bathroom okay. read more

Don't stay here. I know you're seeing an affordable price, but don't do it. The rooms are filthy. The comforter on my bed in my Non-Smoking room was covered in cigarette burn holes. The head board was crusty and taped together so it wouldn't fall apart. Dirty, used wash clothes still in the shower. I was in two different rooms ( first door wouldn't open due to the battery being dead on card reader lock) and both rooms smelled like stale cigarettes and ass. In the morning, their room service guy walked in with out knocking not once, but three times. Starting at 8am when we were still sleeping. Then again just in time for me to be sitting in a towel out of the shower and last but not least again while I was changing. I know it's cheap, but take some damn pride in your business and clean it up. Don't let the whole place fall apart. read more

On checking in I was forced to take a smoking rom cause I had a dog. The lady who barely spoke English gave me that room. Several hours later the manager is banging on my door saying he didn't know I had a dog. I refused to open the door and told him the lady that checked me in knew. At 715 I went for their basic breakfast. The milk was out but no one around and a sign up that they'd be back in 5 minutes. I ate by myself. Went back to my room and walked my dog. Returned to check out. A number of people were eating but still no one behind the desk. Another person also wanted to check out. There was a phone number on the sign. I called it and he phone on the desk rang! We waved at the security cameras. Both rig. I banged on the staff only door and the manager peaked head out. He looked like he was woken up from bed. He said just put the keys on the desk. This place was creepy! read more

As a well seasoned traveler with over 2000 hotel stays in a 30+ year career, I would rate this place in the bottom three. The rooms are OK but there are a few issues. The way the bathrooms are designed, the toilet seat does not go all the way up, and you are forced to lean forward. The air-conditioners have some preset on them and you cannot get the room very cool. The check-in process was a nightmare. They supposedly have free breakfast, but the lobby is locked up tight. read more

Stayed 3 nights. Start with the good - Bathroom was in good shape. Clean and modern, but the door latch was taped open with electrical tape. Beds were comfortable. Wifi worked okay. Not so good - Despite the Check In By 2:00 guarantee, we arrived just before 3:00, no one was covering the front desk. A worker said someone would be there in 10 minutes, but it was closer to half an hour. By then at least 4 groups were waiting to check in. The actual check in was quick, no problems finding my reservation. Finally, there are decent places to eat and shop nearby, such as Market 32. The property is older, with room doors opening outside, no hallways. Door was banged up and while the lock was modern, the latch looked to have been damaged and repaired by an amateur. Our so-called non-smoking room smelled of cigarette smoke, with several cigrarette burns on the bedspreads. The room was dark and small, and as we were on the ground level, we didn't like leaving the shades open. What they call a "hot breakfast" on their sign is a few pieces of bread and english muffins and a toaster. Very sparse layout. They had one of the waffle makers but it was not available the whole time we were there. From what I could see, the woman covering the desk in the morning was also servicing the breakfast area. Outside, there is an abandoned IHOP adjacent to the parking area. I suppose that's not their problem, but it was another creepy part of the experience. Overall it's strictly a one nignt place, and don't plan on eating breakfast. read more

I stayed in this hotel for 2 nights. The service at the desk was friendly, the room was clean, and the furniture/matress/bathroom seemed updated. I didn't try the 'free breakfast', which seemed to be cereal and make your own waffle station. I stayed here because of the pet friendliness of it. The proximity to main roads and shops made it easy to get supplies and/or fast food. My specific room, the new faucet in the bathroom wasn't mounted to the bathroom counter, so it kind of floated... That was really the only downside/negative. I didn't have an issue w/ hearing cars or neighbors. read more

Avoid this place at all times -- property manager is scamming guests with breakfasts. When I said to him that my booking via Booking.com included breakfast and that I would like to get a difference refunded since they don't provide breakfasts due to COVID, he started yelling at me, saying that he will not refund the difference, and that he is canceling our 2nd (last) night at his hotel. When I showed him a receipt from McDonald's across the street where we eventually had our breakfast, he said that he can only refund "not hot breakfast" portion of our receipt since they wouldn't have provided hot breakfast here, even though he has a giant sign of his hotel saying "Hot Breakfast". I told him that I will give 1-star review, and he said to go ahead and give a 0-star review; wish here was such an option to satisfy his request. read more

DO NOT STAY HERE! The stay started with a very rude and nasty hotel clerk. Then the room was dirty. There was hair in the bathroom and on the towels. and on the pillow. There were cigarette holes in the bedspread and a large red stain on the sheets. Disgusting! Clerk would not give a different room or a refund because when I paid for the room it was a non refundable payment. I had to up air-freshener and Lysol. I slept on top of the bed because I was afraid to sleep on the sheets. I don't think the room had been cleaned. read more

Well, it's not the worst place I've stayed at, but it's one step up from that. I wouldn't walk around barefoot in the room, let's just start with that. I only needed a place to sleep because I had family plans, but the two nights I was there were adequate for that. When I checked in initially, I was given the key to a room that actually had someone sleeping in it! Wups. He meant to give me a different room. The cleaning and maintenance staff were very friendly, however. The bed was hard and wobbly and I bought a blanket to use at night because the one on their bed seemed dirty. The pillows appeared to be cut in half, and there were three. It was very bizarre. I regretted not bringing my own. It's not the worst place to stay in the world, but probably the worst place in the Berkshires. If you just need a place to lay your head at night, you won't have a problem, but if you need a place to hang out in, it's very very depressing. read more

I expected this place to be the usual cheap hotel we stay in when on the road, but it really surprised me. The lobby was really clean and so was our room, and the woman I spoke to who was working with housekeeping and checked us out was friendly. There were a lot of small details that most inexpensive places exclude, like leaving shampoo, conditioner, lotion and soap, the curtains had valences, the TV was a name brand and so on. I feel like I got more than what I paid for. They seem like they're really trying to make it a pleasant stay and I would stay here again! read more

This is the 3rd time we've stayed here for multiple days each time and the experience was consistently lacking. The lower rates which are really the only positive thing here, also attracts some less than desirable characters that often hang out on the balcony drinking, smoking and making noise all night. Calls to the front desk go unanswered. The breakfast is severely lacking unless a piece of toast is your idea of a hot breakfast. Friendly's across the street offers half price breakfast M-F at least, so you can eat. On our latest day, our room didn't get serviced at all. And there was nobody at the front desk last night or this morning to give us the items that we needed because our room wasn't serviced. And when we finally did reach the manager we needed multiple towels and were offered one towel and told that they didn't have any others. We needed four...And when we walked out to our car we walked by a whole room full of towels! The air conditioner in the room was either too hot or too cold and you had to get up multiple times in the night to either turn it up or turn it down depending on if you were hot or if you were cold. In the first room the air conditioner didn't work at all. If given any other choice the next time we visit, we'll stay elsewhere. read more

Was forced to take a smoking room (didn't think I had asked for that), there were burn holes in the bed spreads, stains on the carpet and walls, holes in the bathroom door had been covered with contact paper! Had to go out and get a can of Febreze just to make the room tolerable. Tried to find another place to stay, but there was nothing available in the area. Breakfast is a joke. It's obvious the owners are not putting anything into the upkeep of this place and it will only continue to deteriorate. Stay ANYWHERE else! read more

Pretty sure this place is a scam. We called days in advance for two non smoking rooms. Then they tried to say we ordered them separately and that they had one smoking and one non smoking. When we demanded a non smoking they uncharged us for a double... This double room had a broken door that the guy in the front had to open with a knife any time I needed to get back into my room... Room dos not have a remote control. Non smoking rooms smell like smoke still. Breakfast is a joke. Abandoned ihop connecting to parking lot raises more questions than answers. Four of us hiking got two rooms with less than great experience. We don't need much, but; One "Non-smoking room" smelled smoky. So, host decided to move 2 to another room. He then "obnoxiously" tried to charge extra because claimed other room was BETTER?? We said WHY! and he then backed off. However, the bed in the other room was slanted? Having had a long day (we're guys) and kept the room. Also it said Continental B'fast was supposed to be at 6! However, we knocked on door at 7 and office locked. Somebody finally showed up as we were nearly leaving and we got some cereal and left. read more
