Attic Air came out and replaced the motors under warranty (30 minutes of work) and charged me a ridiculous amount of money that equals $1,300 per hour. They had the motors out already when I got the price. I was between a rock & a hard place, so I had to pay. What's more is they should have replaced the motors with what I purchased in the first place still offered with a lifetime warranty. They did not. All I have now is a 1 year warranty on the motors. A local electrician at $200 an hour would do the same work. The motors are $89. Had I known the price ahead of time I would have not had Attic Air do the work. Attic Air will likely return the motors to the manufacture and get two free motors. Clever. I do not recommend this company.

We were arranged to use Momper Insulation through our general contractor who is handling some home…read moreimprovements for us. We got insulation blown into the attic of the house and over the attached garage. The access to the main attic is in the master bedroom's closet ceiling. Through the course of the time they were here, I went up to get something and saw they had some of the old batting insulation just leaning up against the wall next to my bed without anything being covered. My husband, who works from home, also saw this and asked them to remove it and they said "yah, we'll get it all out before we're done". No sense of urgency. No respect for the fact that people SLEEP 2 feet from this large piece of insulation. They didn't wrap any of old insulation before carting it through the house. If I hadn't thought ahead and put up old sheets to cover most of our clothes, they absolutely wouldn't have done anything to protect the area. I say this with certainty because they did not put up one piece of drop cloth, inside the closet, nor down on the floors, nor did they bother to even minimally clean up the bits of insulation they left EVERYWHERE. I have two young kids, one of whom has asthma, and for over a week, I was cleaning up bits of pink insulation and vacuuming and re-vacuuming everything. I didn't sleep in my room for more than a week, trying to make sure it was clean enough to be safe. Every square foot of my home where they were, had bits of insulation. It's been almost a month since they did the job and I am still finding it places. I'm furious! The piece of board that covers the access has insulation visibly sticking out around the edges!! And to top it off, they didn't say a word when they were leaving. None of the usual 'here's what we did, we'll invoice you, do you have any questions" as is typical for any workers you have in your home. We just noticed that their truck wasn't in the driveway anymore and they didn't come back. The ONLY good thing I can say is that the insulation is really doing well keeping the summer heat out of the house, but that would be true no matter who installed it.

He did set up an appointment for that day and told me he would email my estimate. I then contacted my estimator again on the 15th and said I should have it right away. Here it is the 22nd and still nothing!! I am an estimator/ superintendent for an industrial contractor. If they did not want to do the job all had to do was tell me. But I will not recommend them to my friends that are currently building homes!!
