We hired ISF to insulate the walls on our 1901 house. Previously they did a great job insulating…read morethe attic, because we weren't ready for the walls at that time. The crew arrived on time, discussed the procedure and immediately began work. I was a little concerned about the process, but everything went smoothly. They worked through brutal cold and 35 MPH winds. They were awesome! Our siding and windows are about 4 years old and it was important to me that it all stayed in good condition. Most of the insulation was being applied from the outside of the house by removing sections of siding and drilling holes through the sheathing. All the siding was reinstalled and looked just like it did when it was new. The crew was meticulous in wiping down any over-spray and keeping the job site clean. On the inside the had some areas that needed to be foamed through the existing drywall. They carefully drilled holes and covered all adjacent areas with protective plastic . Afterward their drywall guy plastered all the holes leaving them smooth for us to finish as promised. We had several original walls with zero insulation and the noise from outside was always an issue. Now I notice how quiet the inside of the house has become. The next day after the install, the temperature was 16 degrees and we had snow. The furnace is easily maintaining the heat inside without running excessively. We have a smart thermostat and I am anxious to compare this year's heating/cooling costs to the previous year. We have a 4 year old high efficiency gas furnace and air conditioner. A couple of months ago we experienced a record cold wave that forced our furnace to run for 48 hours straight just to maintain 68 degrees in the house! Hopefully that never happens again. We have noticed the foam has stopped the air leakage around windows and receptacles. The crew consisted of diligent workers that kept us informed, did great work, and left the job site in good order. I highly recommend them!

Do RECONSIDER this company. Thoroughly research them, and ensure you understand every detail of the work you are paying for, especially in the event that the work goes awry and develops MOLD. Discuss expenses--like who will cover them--and make sure every detail is in writing and signed by Mike Young; you might as well get his direct contact while you're at it, otherwise he will avoid you 100%.

Protect your loved ones by warning them, reporting these unethical practices, and finding a reputable alternative. Don't become another victim of their deceitful tactics and outright scams. Here's just one example: We were charged a hefty fee for absolutely no work. Their truck couldn't navigate our driveway on a snowy day, and instead of rescheduling, they went ahead and billed us anyway. When we called to dispute the charge, we were met with pure arrogance--told that we "don't understand how their business works" and that we were required to pay, no matter what. They demanded an outrageous amount for literally nothing. It felt like a joke--except it wasn't. This company is clearly taking advantage of the elderly without remorse. We are reporting them to the Better Business Bureau, and we encourage others to do the same. Do they honestly think they can just skip the work and still charge seniors? Absolutely disgusting.
