Went by 4:50pm and waited until 6:05 and was still closed. They have a sign lunch break not sure for how long if 1, 2 or 3 hours of lunch break? I tried calling and the number is not working. This place has really bad customer service. The lady told me to come back at 6pm when I got there at 5:10pm I literally waiting until 6 the doors were closed I come back and she's just sitting in the back room! While I sit in the waiting areas for 20 minutes and she still doesn't come out. DONT RECOMMENDED. read more

If they ask if you want to get the membership say NO. If you try to cancel the membership, the customer service agent that you call through the 800 number will claim he canceled the membership; but he did not. I called customer service around November 2018 and I am still being charged the monthly $11 membership fee. Since they are still taking money from me after I told them to cancel my membership, I have to go through the bank to get my money back. read more

Pros: They get the job done and I've always liked my brows when I walk out. I especially like that its an actual store in the mall and not a kiosk or cart. That way people aren't staring at me while my eyes are watering like crazy and my mascara is running down my cheeks lol! Cause yeah threading hurts. But it is sooo worth it! Cons: The employees aren't very friendly, even if you try to be nice to them. The girl today almost acted like she couldn't wait to get rid of me. Ultra bland personality. But she got me in, out, and on my way. All in all, I can handle the few minutes of bland personality for some good lookin' brows :-) read more

I went in to get my already shaped, thick brows "cleaned up" and walked out with two brows that belong on two different faces. The stylists as they are called spoke only to one another the entire time in a different language the customers did not understand. My one eye was cut three times; once with scissors. I have one eyebrow that's thicker than the other and I went in to even them out. I walked out with one with an arch and one rounded STILL thicker AND NOW longer than the other!! She couldn't tell what the "problem" was and tried to sell me eyebrow powder that was way too light for me because "it's 5$ on sale today " , when I said no she tried telling me I just wasn't confident enough to use it. No lady I just know what my color actually is. I tried paying as fast as I could but it was dragged out with her trying to sell the membership. But the worst part is she tried to ask for a tip when I was paying! Seriously you mess up someone's brows and think you deserve a tip after you couldn't fix them? read more

Had a membership started here about a year ago for my daughter. The person I signed up with left shortly after I started membership. I took my daughter to get her eyebrows done, we were told our membership was no longer valid. I tried to explain that is not possible since I just received notification that there was an automatic deduction from my bank about 3 days ago. After back and forth it was determined they signed me up for a package that is no longer offered and now I could continue but for $4.00 more a month. Well, I gave in and again signed up for a membership. On this day my daughter had her eyebrows done and was cut 2 separate times. She said it hurt and normally it doesn't hurt that bad. I paid no mind since mistakes happened. Then about 2 weeks later we returned and she was cut 3 times twice on her left and once on her right. I told her to try another person next time she comes. Three weeks later, we returned I dropped my daughter off as I went to another store. After I met up with my daughter at the other store she was holding a tissue to her eyebrow. I asked her whats wrong she said they cut me again and it hurts really bad. I looked at her right eyebrow and seen a chunk of skin was missing. Along with a chunk of skin, her eyebrows looked horrible. It looked as if a child took small scissors and chopped at her eyebrows. I quickly took my daughter to the bathroom and attempted to stop the bleeding. We decided to go home. I called the main office for memberships to cancel my membership the next day. I proceeded to explain what happened and asked for resolution and training for their employees however, they did not care nor did they offer a solution. I will not return to Shapes and will never recommend this place. Update: about 4 days later my daughters cut became infected and after further conversation with my daughter she told me the girl who cut her was threading her eyebrows with thread that was "wet" as it had spit on it.We all are familiar with the technique of threading but by no means does it mean you use thread with spit, it has to be dry. This is simply not appropriate and should not be a practice. Use caution when coming here. Your experience may be better than​ mine but it seems this is common. read more

Went there once & NEVER again, I asked to have my brows simply cleaned up, they had been shaped already by a REAL pro (NS threading in Tulare) I figured there was no way they could mess them up. To my displeasure 10 mins later my brows were pencil thin!!! I will spend the next few weeks growing them out, I regret coming here! read more

Wish I had done myself the favor and not come here!! Went one time curious about threading my jawline (normally I only do my brows). The lady did half my face and charged me more than expected. I was annoyed but felt maybe she didn't understand me as there seemed to be a language barrier. Anyway I pay and ask about just getting the membership for brows only and ended up signing up for that membership package. Within the next couple days my skin broke out horribly and after doing further research realized my skin maybe just to sensitive or more likely the place isn't clean and caused my skin to get infected. Took weeks and a trip to the dermatologist to confirm the skin infection. Was very annoyed and so went back to cancel the membership. I had to go in person because the business phone number listed is never answered and doesn't allow messages to be left. Anyway woman seemed very rude and writes down a number and says I have to call that number. I called and was told no problem they would cancel the membership and not to worry. Fast forward 1 month they now charged me $70! I tried calling again no number, went in got the number again, called customer service again and was rudely hung up on. Called back and explained I wasn't "transferred" and I need this addressed or I'm reporting the fraudulent charge to my bank. The man said he would for sure call me back and confirmed my phone number. Its been 24 hours and still no call back and now I have to freeze my card and reset all my automatic payments just because of this place. DON'T GO HERE. read more

Horrible experience! I was honestly looking forward to getting my eyebrows done and after going - I wished I hadn't gone. I left with cuts from the thread on my right eye and a lot of little hairs still. I did bring it to their attention and another lady clean the rest of what was left. It stains and I know I will have the scab for the next few days. I will for sure not return!!! read more

Ive been to many eyebrow threading salons and this one was beyond the worst one. My eyebrows resulted being uneven, both eye areas were pinched that it cut my skin on both sides, very unfriendly environment and staff. I will never come back there again. The only ones that know how to do threading are the Indian women at other salons not the "shapes brow bar". read more
