I am no fan of dentists, knew an old cavity had fallen out, and it had been 4 years since I'd been to the dentist. Dr. Warner took wonderful care of me. It is a small office consisting only of Dr. Warner and his lovely mother who runs the office. Dr. Warner is an indigenous Takoma Park resident from a dentist and doctor lineage who will tell you stories about having his own teeth cleaned in the very chair you in which you sit. He is comforting and non judgmental -- I got no scolding for being absentee for so long and no lectures about flossing. Dr. Warner cleans your teeth himself -- it's just him, no dental hygenists. I'm an old fashioned gal and this makes me trust him more. Most importantly, he cleaned my teeth expertly, quickly, and with no pain. He fixed my tooth just as swiftly and competently. I couldn't even feel the novacaine shot. He didn't ply me with drugs and he didn't push cosmetic procedures. He's just a great old fashioned Takoma Park dentist, who doesn't charge an arm and a leg. Even though I have fancier insurance now I'm gonna stick with Dr. Warner

There are many things I liked about our visit (our first) and his care. His office is accessible from the Takoma Park metro. He accepts my BCBS Dental Plan insurance. He didn't push any weird stuff that was pushed on me by previous dentists-fluoride foam for a fee, for example. He also didn't push x-rays which really scored him points with me. Rather, he asked when our last x-rays were, and suggested instead that we get our records from our previous dentist and bring them. Again, i think this is excellent, no need to expose you to unnecessary radiation, he said. right on! Dr. Warner stresses flossing and preventative care. I really feel like he has his patients' needs in mind. I am very pleased and really recommend him! Edit: the one issue i have with Dr. Warner was reaching his office on the phone. We tried to schedule a visit and kept getting his voicemails, forever, and it is not possible to leave a message. This was frustrating. also, the office is not open on Fridays.

Once upon a time, I had a really painful cavity. Like many people, I am really terrified of…read morecavities, which is probably why I procrastinated going to the dentist until it was absolutely necessary. I scoured Yelp (and cross-checked my insurance) for friendly and recommended dentists. Premier Dental Care was rated highly. I called about five local offices - and Premier was the first to call me back. (Side note: Only one of the other companies ever called me back, and that was several weeks later. Premier called back the next day.) Dr. Hines graciously filled my very deep, very ugly cavity on the same day I came in, during an evening appointment. He did a great job. We scheduled follow-up appointments for remaining cavities on my right side and for the cavities on my left side. (How these cavities got so bad, I do not know.) Each side also needed a deep cleaning. I was able to schedule these appointments around a vacation, the winter holidays, and prior to the commencement of my new job. Premier has been flexible and accommodating in making appointments. I had a later appointment with Dr. Sarai. Both doctors were gentle, skilled, and very kind. They took great care to make sure that my procedures weren't painful, and after filling my cavities they worked carefully to make sure that my teeth fit together and that my bite was aligned. Everyone working at the office, including Dionne, the Hygienist, was courteous, kind, patient, and friendly. As in, they were actually all of those things - I can't remember the last time I was at such a friendly place in DC. Kereida, the Administrator, worked with me so that we could maximize my insurance coverage, and at the end of the day the prices were very reasonable. Finally, the office is great. It's small, clean, and homey. Dental chairs come equipped with TV and cable - so if you're sitting there a while, or you need something to distract you from being terrified because you are at the dentist, you can watch TV. Also, the X-ray machines are in little cabinets by the chairs, which is cool because you don't have to get up and go to a weird room with a big scary machine. Finally, of course, you can ask for sunglasses to protect your eyes from lights or flying bits of goo or just about anything else - which is really the icing on the cake. The End.

To Whom It May Concern, I am writing to express my…read moredisappointment with the orthodontic treatment and follow-up support I received from Premiere Dental Care. As a teenager, I paid approximately $4,000 out of pocket for braces without insurance. At the time, I chose Premiere Dental Care not only because of the services offered, but also because I wanted to support a Black-owned business located near my grandparents' store in Washington, DC. As a Maryland resident, I made that choice despite not having the convenience of living nearby. After completing my treatment, I was provided with a retainer. Unfortunately, I later lost the retainer, and my gap has since begun to reopen. When I contacted the office to ask about obtaining a replacement retainer, I was informed that I would need to return for a new mold. The problem is that I now live over two hours away, making an in-person visit difficult. More importantly, taking a new mold now would capture my teeth in their current state, including the reopening gap that I paid thousands of dollars to correct. I worked hard and made significant sacrifices to pay for my orthodontic treatment without insurance. I invested in braces specifically to close the gap in my teeth, and it is frustrating to now be in a position where I may need to spend an additional $3,000 on Invisalign or other corrective treatment because I cannot obtain a replacement retainer based on my post-treatment results. As a loyal patient who supported your practice and paid entirely out of pocket, I expected more flexibility and assistance in preserving the results of my treatment. This situation has been both financially and emotionally upsetting, especially considering the effort and commitment I made to receive care through your office. I hope Premiere Dental Care will review my situation and work with me toward a reasonable solution. Sincerely, Quacy February

A coworker recommended Dr.Michael Lamb's practice for a routine cleaning but when I arrived to the location I was disappointed that the facility was old and the equipment was outdated. I proceeded with my check in process because a co-worker who was new to the area as well said she had gone there a couple times. As I checked in the staff wouldn't even acknowledge me and they were very rude and unwelcoming. When I arrived to the appointment I was eating my lunch because I was starving and pregnant. I checked in fine but then 15 minutes into me eating my food Rita and Nikea at the front desk said there was no eating. I advised them that I was almost done eating at that point and asked if I could finish. They said no so I asked if I could eat outside and they said that was fine. After I finished eating I walked back into the office and waited to be called. Trisha called me for my cleaning and asked if I had just ate. I told her yes and I asked her how did she know and she said the front desk staff informed her. She asked me if I would brush my teeth and I said sure. I thought I was going to brush my teeth in the room I was in because there was sink in there but as I approached the sink she asked me to go to the bathroom. I said ok no problem but I didn't realize the bathroom was out of the office and far down the hall. I brushed my teeth and returned back Trisha. Trisha then walked out the room without saying a word and then Katrina walked in the room. Katrina told me that I had to wait in the waiting room and that I had to wait for Dr.Lamb. I asked her why and she said I just have to wait in the waiting room and said she would not give me an explanation. Now I am irritated and confused so I told her that I would wait here for Dr.Lam since the office staff already had me doing so many things for no reason. She told me that I could not do that because they needed to see other patients. I reminded her that I was a patient waiting for Dr.Lamb and I wasn't leaving because she couldn't give me an explanation and informed her that I didn't even get my teeth cleaned yet. I waited for about 30 minutes or so and kept asking where Dr.Lamb was and she kept telling me he was with other patients. I didn't understand how he was with other patients when I had an appointment with him but realized they were just giving me the run around. The staff took up my appointment time with there unreasonable request because the cleaning would of been finished. Katrina then came in and said Dr. Lamb could also call me, I finally decided to leave because I realized everyone was giving me the run around. She said he should call me in next 30 minutes but of course that never happened. I called the office several times that day to try to inform Dr.Lamb of his staffs behavior but he never called me. I continued to call the office throughout the week and they continued to give me the run around. They even had the audacity to ignore my calls and block me. I knew this because I called from other numbers and they answered the phone every time. I am furious that they wasted my time, caused my blood pressure to rise while I am pregnant, made me waste my gas money, and added unnecessary miles on my car. I am also appalled at the atrocious customer service this office had and I am disappointed that for my first visit Dr.Lamb would allow this behavior to occur at his practice. Dr. Lamb also plays a huge part in this because I am sure someone in his office delivered my messages or told him about the situation but he never called me nor had anyone from his office contact me to discuss my concerns. After weeks of trying to get through to someone of authority I finally got in contact with the supervisor by the name of Ms.Wilkinson. She said that they had sent a letter. I advised her that I never received the letter and asked what the letter had to say. She stated that I had to find a new dentist and I was flabbergasted. I said no one even reached out to me so how is that even possible. She said she would resend the letter but couldn't give me any further information. I told her I have never endured this type of behavior from any establishment and let her know I would be reporting them to the Better Business Bureau and my insurance company. I told her I wasn't ever returning anyways but I wanted Dr.Lamb to know what type of behavior was occurring in his establishment. Then to make matters worse I received a bill for my co payment for my dentist appointment that never even occurred. That bill will never be paid and I will never return to this office and I don't recommend that anyone ever go here because it is a waste of your time and money.

Due to an issue with my bite, I kept biting my lip, which caused swelling and scar tissue. It became noticeable when I ate and talked, and it honestly made me shy away from social interactions. I kept putting off seeing an orthodontist, and after this experience, I truly wish I hadn't. My free consultation was better than I could have imagined. From the initial phone intake to the stunning, luxurious office, every single staff member was friendly, caring, and genuinely invested in making me feel comfortable. The entire experience felt thoughtful and personalized, and I walked away feeling fully informed about my care and next steps. Jessica handled my intake and X-rays and made the entire process completely stress-free. She took the time to get to know me as an individual, asked thoughtful questions about my concerns and hopes, and was clearly knowledgeable and capable. Viviana, the practice manager, is truly an angel on earth. She radiates warmth and kindness and clearly loves what she does--it shows in every interaction. I had absolutely no reservations or fear because of her care and reassurance. And Dr. Mina... I don't even have the words. She was honest, compassionate, and incredibly thorough. I never once felt pressured into an expensive or unnecessary treatment. We reviewed my X-rays together, she answered every question, and we came up with a plan that was conservative, affordable, and effective. They also referred me to an oral surgeon to evaluate the scar tissue on my lip to determine whether it would resolve on its own or needed to be addressed. That level of care and foresight truly meant so much to me. I walked in terrified and resigned to the idea that I might need braces. Instead, after discussing my options, I ordered retainers. Viviana did my scans and talked me through everything so I felt completely at ease. They even put in a rush order so I wouldn't have to be uncomfortable any longer than necessary. I am beyond grateful for this team and will absolutely be a lifelong patient. If you're considering orthodontic care--don't go anywhere else. Just go to Kumra Orthodontics.
