Note that the side of grits and biscuits & gravy were not on the paper menu, but an option to order. Around noon, a djay began to set up and play r&b music, prior to that there was gospel playing. Twenty five minutes or so later, I overheard another server state that there were only two chefs cooking, and some guests were upset because of timing. This made me nervous and I asked our waitress if our food had been started because we could cancel and return when they were less busy. However, she assured me that the cooks started our food and it ended up coming out less than ten minutes later. This is when an okay visit turned into a good one. The food did not miss. There was not really anything that I disliked. The cinnamon roll pancake was the star & I would recommend it and get it next time. The chicken wings were seasoned well and crispy. The turkey gravy on the biscuit was unlike any I've tried but delicious. The red velvet waffle was good with and without the icing. The grits were good once I added a little salt. Overall the meal was great, the portions were big and we had enough to bring home for the next day. I would return for brunch again on a less busy day.
