We stopped in here on a recent Saturday at around 12:30 p.m. The easiest parking is in the public free deck across the street and half a block away. Street parking in front of the restaurant (on the square itself) is limited). The restaurant is a long, deep single room with the kitchen at the rear. There are booths along both walls and varying size tables in the middle. It was fairly crowded when we visited and the room can get noisy. It wasn't unpleasant, but don't come here expecting a quiet dining experience. We had one main server but they also tended to tag-team food delivery, water or coffee refills, etc. Service was good. We both got combos (half sandwich and half salad). We agreed that the salads were still larger than we expected even at half-size. I got some variant of a BLT as the sandwich, and liked it. The salad (primarily spinach with other interesting veggies) was good. I usually like balsamic vinaigrette dressing. The version here was really strong and slightly bitter. I'd go with some other dressing if I came back. My wife liked her meal (she had different sandwich and salad variants as well as a strawberry-based dressing that she liked). Prices were quite reasonable, too. We don't make it to Carrolton frequently, but I'd definitely be open to eating here again next time. read more

Was in town for a dance competition and my friend kept telling me how good Corner Cafe was. She picked up our orders to go and she was not lying. I had the Rosemary's Baby Daddy and the Popeye Salad and WOW both were amazing. The bread for the sandwich was melt in your mouth good and the chicken was so tender. While in town on business my coworker and I had traveled all day and were starving! Stopped in here for dinner. First off I make better salads at home and it took forever for his pulled pork sandwich and my salad. Chicken had no seasoning and the whole salad was nothing great! Our waiter Lucas was amazing. He knew the menu and ingredients inside and out. His recommendations were spot on. His friendliness just added to the quaint ambiance of this cozy cafe. The mugwomp was delicious! The Weeping Willow perfect and the mushroom soup must be eaten with the delicious bread. We definitely recommend this place. If you are in this area you must try this spot. A recent visit to Corner Cafe revealed significant changes. I visited on a Sunday afternoon around 2 p.m. The rather neglected bathrooms have been addressed with fresh paint and updated decor. If you love soup and sandwiches, especially creative ones, this is the perfect place for you. We were in Carrollton and figured we'd explore the square and find a place to grab lunch. We asked a few people walking around where they'd recommend and everyone said to go here. So glad we listened. We both got the soup and sandwich combo with broccoli cheese soup. The soup was perfect. Good suze pieces of broccoli and not too cheesy. I wanted it taste like soup, not thinned down cheese sauce. Everything I hoped it would be. My husband got his go-to sandwich and he thought it was perfect. The thin focacia bread allowed the flavors of the filling to be the star. I got one of the creative sandwiches with granny smith apple slices on it. Loved the crunch and tartness that it added. Not sure when/if we'll be back in Carrollton again, but if we are, we'll be back. read more

I went here with some coworkers for lunch, and we weren't impressed with the quality of the food. There really wasn't anything special about any of the sandwiches we ordered. They were sort of dry and tasteless. The service was friendly, and I liked that I got to pick which hot tea I wanted out of a decent selection. However, we felt we could have gone to a grocery store's deli and picked out something better. She quickly got our drink orders and told that our service, Donny, would be right with us. Several minutes passed before Donny came to get our food order. His service was "just ok". I've frequented this place for 15 years. They always provide quick and delicious meals in such a cute setting. They are located on the square with free parking all around you. Must try the spinach dip with bagel or pita chips, hands down best dip I've ever had. All of their sandwiches can be halved and served alongside a soup. My favorite sandwich would probably be Rosemary's Baby Daddy. None disappoint. When I was pregnant I would call to make sure they had the veggie chili available, they always seemed to sell out of that quickly... I know why. Yum!
