Tried it for the first time today and completely underwhelmed. Ordered a bacon, egg, and cheese on a bagel and got what looked like vomit on a bagel soaked in grease. After 20 minutes, brought myself to taste it. Oversalted and runny eggy mess with bits of burnt stuff off the grill. Waste of $6.50. Threw it out. Not at all what I expected.

Half sandwich of the Mary, Queen of Scots

I visited Highlands Deli with my family after shopping at the Robinson Salvage store for some discount buys. This is an adorable deli with friendly service located in the center of downtown Carrollton. You order at the counter, and either wait for your takeout order or find a seat in the main dining room, the smaller overflow dining room across the hallway, or outside. The decor is delightfully filled with Scottish items, and their menu similarly reflects their heritage. I had a regular order of the Highland Chicken Salad, filled with chicken, walnuts, apricots, raisins, celery, and spring onions, served on a large lettuce leaf. My mom tried a half sandwich of their Mary, Queen of Scots, which was the same chicken salad on a croissant. The chicken salad was made with sweeter mayo (not really my favorite), but the added nuts and fruits made for a delicious meal. My brother had a half Cyril sandwich, filled was ham and provolone. My sister-in-law had a half sandwich of The Ayrshire Melt, with hot ham, cheddar, and dijon. As you can see from the photos, the portion sizes are HUGE! Everyone loved their lunches. Note that if you cannot find parking out front, there is a small covered parking deck behind the restaurant that connects to the back door of the building. Highly recommended!

The best sandwich I ever had the Jarito. Great place but you better beat the rush because it gets busy.

This is exactly what it looks like: a late-night bar to hang with friends, grab some drinks, and throw some darts. Nothing overcomplicated just a good time. Beer was decent, food was okay, but that's not really the point here. The fun factor is what stands out. Great spot to bring friends or even a casual date. Get in, have fun, don't overthink it. Overall: 4/5 - fun, simple, and knows exactly what it is.

We came on a Friday and they had open mic night for the first time in years - per the bartender. I would say this restaurant has a good thing going because on this particular night they only had 2 bartenders and no servers, but they were extremely efficient. I ordered the Giant Pretzel with queso and it was mediocre - not much flavor for an Irish Pub pretzel. I would recommend the pretzel bites instead. I also ordered the wings, plain, with ranch and they were great; however, I wasn't expecting 15 wings. My boyfriend got the Spicy Patty Melt with fries and rates it 8/10 because as a man "it was good and I'm fat." We're eager to try the other Dunwoody Restaurant Group spots soon! Overall, the price was reasonable at $100 for 4 drinks and 3 food items

Overall the seasoning of these dishes were on the heavy side. In particular, the medium lamb and mushrooms were quite spicy. The mild goat also had a kick of heat but it was OK for me; in fact, this was my fav as the sauce was thick and flavorful, and the bone-in goat was super tender -- definitely had better quality than those sold in farmers market. Besides, the achar was quite salty, so salty that I could swallow it only with tons of rice. There are not many Indian restaurants in Midtown Atlanta. Compared to Tabla, another Indian restuarant only ~0.5mi walk from this one, the dishes in Blue india have a larger portion size, especially for their curry and biriyani. The naan was huge as well -- my peshwari was about 0.6lb! However, Tabla had more side dishes including tandoori vegetables, which made it more suitable for dining alone.
