I just had the worst chicken pad thai I've ever tasted in my life. It was dry and FLAVORLESS. Gave 3 stars only because the Taiwanese pancake we also got was delicious (though overpriced) and my husband's beef stir fry was really tasty. Food was cooked perfectly and tasted SO good. I ordered the egg rolls, Vietnamese shaking beef, and a Peach kiwi tea with aiyu jelly. Everything hit the spot I was in a food coma on the way home. Glad to finally see a Sharetea a franchise from Taiwan in the greater Philly area as I've only seen them in NYC and in California. I always go for the basic milk tea to see how the pearls (boba) are cooked and the taste of the tea. I was very impressed the milk tea has the perfect balance between tea flavor and milk. You can change the sweetness levels on your drink I always go for the 25% (30%). I also got pearls in mine and they were cooked perfectly not too chewy or overcooked mushy. The best noodles I've ever had. Large noodles with beef and sauce is what I ordered. It had bok choy broccoli and cabbages and onions. Delicious I should have asked spicy as it wasn't medium as I had asked but they did offer chili oil. Worst service. I was forced by the waitress to pay $2 for tofu in my Pad Thai because she couldn't bypass the system for Pad Thai without adding $2 tofu or chicken, $4 beef or shrimp, and $6 seafood. Apparently the manager advised the waitress to select $2 tofu and charge my account. All I asked for was Pad Thai without adding a protein. Beware as they may do this to other customers as well. This is a take out review. Never actually ate in. I thought this might be good since my brother-in-law's kids like it. I should have known better. We had pork dumplings which were just average, nothing special but also not terrible. The pad thai was the worst I have ever eaten and that's saying something. It wasn't horrible but it was completely inauthentic. Tasted nothing like real Thai food. The peanuts were whole and came on the side. Huh? On the plus side my mother actually really enjoyed the pad thai. Ja Jiang Mein was meh. The black bean sauce was a mild brown color and wholly forgettable. Also the flavor was incredibly bland. I admit I haven't eaten very much Taiwanese food but the restaurant in Queens I went to many years ago was much better. I think a lot of restaurants which try to do too many cuisines end up like this. Large menu but mediocre quality. It's not easy making quality food of multiple ethnic origins. I strongly suggest a different place if you want genuine Asian food. If you want quick and bland, reasonably priced, this place is OK. However, there are so many other better restaurants in the area for when you want something delicious. read more
