exterior at night

Was craving a sweet treat and stopped by this place after having dinner nearby. Loved the environment...the outdoor area had a large take-out window. There is also some seating there and on the adjacent lawn. I was happy to see lots of ice cream flavors to choose from...though I was a bit disappointed with the minimal chocolate flavored options available at that time. I ended up getting a small vanilla almond which I thought was okay. The prices are very fair for the various sizes. Staff was very efficient. Lots of street parking in the immediate area.

Kids Chicken Tenders with fries and a side of mayo.

Sweet Briar Cafe serves delicious ice-cream outside and filling meals inside. Their outside patio has a few tables with umbrellas for the sunny days this summer as well as some smaller tables. While their outside is a nice size, the inside eating space is a bit on the smaller size. From the times that I have been here, the service has always been professional. The waitress that served us didn't seem to be bothered by us asking for mayonnaise on the side or by us spilling the bill in the past. Sweet Briar serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner which I appreciate. For lunch, our meal was very well cooked. The fries and chicken tenders were crispy. With the burger being cooked to liking. I enjoyed the food, service, and ambiance here. The only downside is it feels a little cramped when inside and the food may take some time to get to you. Still recommend Review from Sophia. @TastyBitesbySophia on instagram.

Great brunch on a fabulous Fall Sunday! I got the eggs Benedict, and my daughter got the pumpkin pancakes special. Both delish!!

Sweetbriar Cafe is my favorite restaurant in the Greater Philadelphia area. Every meal I've had there was excellent. Our usual go-to is the burger of the week with sweet potato fries (always very crispy and tasty). The various toppings they offer with their weekly specials are full of complementary flavor. Their desserts are excellent too - so many different flavors of milkshakes for whatever mood you are in. All of this at very reasonable prices. I can't recommend this place enough!

Any place that charges you to use a credit card always gets the lowest rating. I understand that Square is charging you that 3% to run my card but that's an operating expense that shouldn't be pushed onto the consumer.

On a nice day eating outside would be nicer. Cramped inside. Service was ok, but slow. Chairs could use pillows.

There's something about La Provence in Ambler that just feels special. La Provence…read more It has that romantic French countryside ambiance that makes you want to slow down and stay awhile. It's also BYOB, which makes it even better -- bring your favorite bottle and make a whole night out of it. The vibe is warm, intimate, and perfect for date night, but they also have a gorgeous outdoor space that can host up to 100 people, making it such a hidden gem for larger parties and celebrations. They opened in September 2019 -- just six months before the pandemic -- which makes what they've built even more impressive. It's truly family-driven. The husband, Manuel (from Spain), is the head chef, and you can absolutely taste the care and authenticity in every dish. Cindy, who is from Panama, brings so much heart to the restaurant as well. We started with Prince Edward Island oysters and the crab salad, which had crispy bacon pieces for a great touch of texture and the crab was incredibly fresh -- such a perfect balance of flavors and crunch. For entrées, the beef bourguignon was rich, comforting, and everything you'd hope for from a classic French dish. The Dover sole felt elegant and perfectly executed. We ended with the chocolate mousse, which was light, decadent, and the perfect sweet finish. And I have to mention our server -- Delroy was fabulous. Attentive, personable, and so knowledgeable. He truly elevated the entire experience. Between the ambiance, the hospitality, and the beautifully prepared food, La Provence is absolutely somewhere I'll be coming back to for an elevated night out.

The bar area is beautiful, comfortable and service was excellent. The martini was on the large size, which doesn't offend me LMAO. And the beer selection also did not offend me. ;) The tuna tartare was soooo good, I could have eaten a couple of them. Taste was exceptional and really really fresh with no sinew. The fried chicken sandwich was crispy and full of flavor. I like this place after one visit and will return. Let's see if they can get that 5th star from me. We were seated and our server, Joanne gave us a quick rundown on the menu. She was very attentive and personable. Our party of four ordered the pork sandwich, the shrimp BLT, deviled eggs, the pepperoni flat bread, the meatball skillet, shrimp cocktail and French onion soup. The sandwiches were excellent and were served with perfectly cooked shoestring fries. The soup was great - plenty of cheese & bread topping delicious broth & caramelized onions. Joanne was correct when she told us the shrimp cocktail was "elevated". The grilled shrimp were marinated and perfectly seasoned. The flatbread was good, topped with a drizzle of hot honey. The deviled eggs were yummy but I would rather the bacon on top didn't have a maple flavor to it. The meatball skillet was served with toasted bread slices, hearty marinara and dollops of ricotta. The meatballs were a little dry but we enjoyed it anyway. We will definitely plan on coming back to The Fort to try new items and for another pork sandwich. Great spot!

What really makes it unique is the fact that you can place your food order and then go grab a craft brew in a plastic cup and then walk back to get your food. Or, if you prefer to bring your food to the bar area, you can do that too. We had a hankering for burgers and wanted to give Lucky's a try. I'm glad we did and it was an enjoyable experience. We ordered a share basket of fries which were perfectly cooked crinkle fries. They had ketchup available as well. We each got a burger, one classic and one Oklahoma style which had two patties. The classic had more of a Kaiser roll whereas the Oklahoma had a potato bun. The meat was fresh, not frozen and cooked nicely on a flat top. The onions on the Oklahoma were sliced incredibly thin but for some reason were not soft enough to bite through (my only disappointment). It's easy to find as the doorway is right down from Rita's on Ridge Avenue. Give it a try!
