This place has some of the best Chinese food around! My family has ordered here many times, but I'm not local so never had it before, but heard how great it was. We ordered general tso's chicken, pepper steak, kung pao chicken, chicken lo mein, pork friend rice, egg rolls and wonton soup. Everything was fantastic! Generous portions meant plenty for leftovers. The service was standard and matter of fact, like many Chinese takeout places. Ordering over the phone is simple - call, place order, be assigned a number to provide at pickup. It's a good system. I ordered a General Tso's chicken to go from DoorDash. It was prepared pretty quickly (around 15-20 mins from ordering), so that was pretty nice. The order was packed in a flat black plastic container with the chicken and broccoli mixed together. A small scoop of rice was packed separately. I think the portion was reasonable for the $15.99 that was paid. The General Tso's chicken was a bit more orange in color compared to the traditional dark brown color I see in most other places. However, the flavor didn't disappoint. It was actually a lot tastier than I expected, and I can see why it's the most popular dish ordered to-go. Overall, the food is pretty good and service is pretty fast (cashier was also pretty nice). The portion is not as big as some other places, but the food was definitely good. I would order again. The restaurant setting itself looks pretty much like most Chinese restaurants so it seems like a good sit down spot for conversations without being crowded or loud. read more

Best general tso in the area! Living in the area, I must have passed by this place dozen times but I didn't try this place until recently. Every time I order from this place, they provide consistency in their food and I am never disappointed. I typically get boneless spare ribs combo but ever since trying their general tso, that's all I get. The worker here is super friendly and you don't feel rushed when ordering over the phone. It was a whole ago - at least 5 years- so I can't honestly rate the place. The food was good but very very slow.

We used to love this place. The delivery guy named Chris is fabulous, friendly and funny and we loved him. We also loved ordering from Tony who unfortunately left recently. The owner who now I guess answers the phone is very temperamental and we dealt with it but we ordered yesterday from them and although mistakes happen when we called to say they delivered one incorrect order we had some problems. First of all she tried to blame us for not noticing when she repeated our order to us although she's quite difficult for us to understand. Next she actually asked for us to return the incorrect food. We had no problem doing so but when the friendly driver came to redeliver the correct food we forget to give him the bag sitting by our door ( a senior moment lol ) . We quickly called the restaurant to apologize and she actually sent him back to our house to pick up the wrong food and I question was she going to serve it to some unknowing customer after it was sitting in my house? I never ate from it but she would not know it wasn't tampered with and it should NOT have been reused! I won't order from here again and we used to order weekly when we were home so they lost great customers over 1 order of cold, delivered chicken and broccoli which was scary when we thought they would use it again. The food is always so good. Try the Szechuan Dumplings. I also got the moo shoo pork. It is now the only place we go to for Chinese. None of the places near us have as good food. Oh and the folks there are very friendly. There is no dine in anymore but it doesn't matter. read more

I actually never realized how close this place was to me until all the other Chinese restaurants in the area I usually go to were sadly closed because of the current pandemic. I called each one and this was the only one open so I ordered food for me and my family. I'm glad I found this place! It's a little more expensive than my usual spot, which was fine, I really wanted to some chinese. We ended up ordering crab Rangoon, chicken fried rice, veggie Lo mein, chicken and broccoli, and general tso's chicken. The crab Rangoon was good but they could have a bit more filling in them. The chicken fried rice WAS PERFECT!!! It was loaded with peas and carrots, with egg. Not a lot of places do their fried rice like this so I really enjoyed that. The veggie Lo mein has baby corn, snap peas, broccoli, and zucchini and was also perfect. The chicken with broccoli was good, just the right amount of chicken, broccoli, and carrots but it was a tiny bit oily. The general tso's chicken was really good though. It's actually spicy and has the peppers right in the container for some extra heat. I'll definitely be ordering from this place again. The food was good and the service was very quick. Stopped in to get takeout. Ordered scallion pancakes and dan dan noodles (minus the pork and peanuts). I know what you're thinking...why would you get the noodles and then change everything about them? Nut allergy and I wanted vegetarian. Plus, they told me they make a vegetarian version. No pro's and con's this time...just...ummm...I wanted to like the food but it was blah. The scallion pancake was ok but it's a scallion pancake. The dan dan noodles were dry and chalky. Based on the description I thought they'd be spicy and have sauce on them. Not so much. The decor/ceiling is really beautiful and the people that work there are quite nice. Will I return? Nope. New to the area and looking for a Chinese restaurant (mostly for takeout), we gave Golden Great Wall a try and I'm happy to report it's our new go-to! We dined in once and tonight ordered takeout. Both occasions were great! The night we dined in we were the only table in the restaurant. The staff was very nice and the food was perfect. It's BYOB which is a plus. For takeout tonight we ordered a couple of the combinations and were very happy with our choices. Decent prices, quick service, and great tasting food. 100% recommend giving this place a try! read more

I was soooo disappointed recently. I had a spring roll that was crispy on the outside but like indistinguishable mush on the inside. Consistently great food and friendly service. Can't beat their combination platters. Our go to meals are the chicken with broccoli and shrimp with broccoli. Both delicious! Our friends/family have been ordering from Golden Great Wall for years. When new owners took over in recent years they took the food to a whole other level, Food was exceptional. Last 3-4 times we were so disappointed in the quality and quantity. Food had zero taste. Checked with a couple other families and they said the same. This week I ordered only one meal to "try one more time" before going elsewhere. In the trash it went. Me Fun Shrimp. Disgusting. Called the restaurant to ask if perhaps there was a new Chef. Maybe he/she was off? We tried several different nights. Nope. Still horrible. Whoever answered the phone was polite and stated he will speak to the owner. That's it? I did not ask for credit or to be compensated in any way. Was not asked my name/phone number/apologize...nothing. THAT tells me everything I need to know. Bye GGW. It's pretty decent although I couldn't tell if the shrimp were off or not, but not horrible. I judge a Chinese food restaurant by their egg rolls and their egg rolls were just okay but everything else wasn't bad. They were one of the few Chinese restaurants open when all the others were closed so it was decent for what it was. As soon as my favorite spot opened back up I haven't been back but if I'm ever out that way again I wouldn't be against going again. read more

My favorite asain food places have been closed down due to the Coronavirus Lockdown, so I decided to order here. Ordered a 2 liter sprite, got two cans. Ordered a side of steamed broccoli, it was way undercooked. Ordered Orange chicken with pork fried rice, got white rice. Ordered chicken chow mein, it had barely any chicken and no fried noodles; the just gave us vegetables and a tiny serving of rice. I really don't like to bad-mouth restaurants, but this place didn't get any of the orders right and their food was overall lackluster. Will not be ordering from here again. read more

It's small, it doesn't feel very clean with issues like mop buckets in the hallway visible from the tables, and the cushions on the vinyl booths being ripped-up and covered with duct tape (you get the picture) but the menu is nice, and the food is good. The staff is friendly, but they kept (including take-out orders) delivering the wrong food to the wrong people, which we all found amusing. I'd give it only 3 stars, but I'm a Yankee. Run, don't walk from this mismanaged nightmare. We ordered take out and were told everything would be ready in 30 minutes. I arrived 40 minutes later only to sit for over an hour begging and pleading with the hostess to check on our food. When I got home our spare ribs were cold, we didn't receive our fried rice and the house special triple delight didn't contain any beef and was a double disappointment. Other patrons informed me during my hour and ten minute standoff that the restaurant was under new "management". That would explain why the hostess left a customer's credit card on the front counter in plain view of other customers as he disappeared into the back for an extended periods.
