this sharetea is located in shanghai plaza which is usually busy. i went on a sunday therefore it was extra busy. parking can be quite frustrating, especially on weekends. i came here before noon and there was already a line. the wait wasn't that bad, you can use that time to choose what you want to order. there was only three people working, two doing the drinks while one does cashier. the cashier was nice, it did seem like she was counting down when to leave though. when she asked for my number to pull up my sharetea points, she read my name and had an odd reaction, not pleasant. i know my name isn't common, i don't expect her to know how to pronounce nor did i correct her. i just wished her reaction was more professional because i kind of felt offended. i am giving her the benefit of the doubt, though. maybe her intention wasn't ill but it did came off wrong to me. i ordered a thai pearl milk tea (rp pearl with crystal boba, 80% sugar, and less ice), wintermelon tea (crystal boba, 80% sugar, and less ice), and matcha with fresh milk (half herbal jelly and crystal boba, 100% sugar, and less ice). i always get the thai milk tea, however it can be sweet so i get it with less sugar. i ordered with less sugar this time but it felt like they added 100%. it's no biggie though, i can just add more ice to make it less sweet. the wintermelon tea is always refreshing. im not really into matcha so i won't comment on that. the place is nice and big compare to the other boba shops i've been to. there are a lot of seating areas, perfect for w small date. due to the fact that this place is usually packed there barely seems to be enough space, though. i also wish their blender is more quiet or they place it in the back because it is so loud. when i was ordering i had to raise my voice and lean over the counter, the person helping me had to do the same as well. as stated, i went on the weekend so it was packed and only three people was working. i believe that there should be more people working because not only would it benefit the staffs but also customers. customers would be able to get assistance faster and the employees would be happier with more help. read more

This place is busy! Which is a good sign. The young lady at the register was friendly, although impossible to hear with all the blenders noise, a mask and an acrylic screen. As a popular boba chain shop, I have very high expectation since I really like the one in Cali. It is located inside the new Shanghai plaza, right across from the main Chinatown plaza. Decor is not bad but also not too impressive. Few two seated tables and nothing for a bigger party. They do offer great variety of drinks to choose from, and you can adjustment on ice and sweetness level for your drinks, so that's a good touch. My main concern is the sweetness of their drinks. My two drinks that I ordered from two different times were too sweet for me! First time I did not adjust the sweet level of my drink, so it's should be at 100% sweetness. Boy, after I took my first sip, I thought my drink was at 200% sweetness level! Second time, I asked to adjust to 80% and came out to about 150% sweetness for my taste lol I guess if I ever come back to Sharetea, I will have to ask for 30-50% sweetness, when I usually don't have to adjust sweetness level at other places. read more

Their drinks are delicious, the quality and drink size is definitely worth the price, and the customer service is spot on. The employees are kind and helpful. I came here with my mom and sisters after the Fremont Street Experience on our way to our hotel. I ordered the Tiger Tea with 50% sweetness and mini boba (they were out of regular boba). My mom got the Strawberry Mojito with 0% sweetness because it is already very sweet. My sister got the Wintermelon Lemonade with mini boba in addition to the mini boba and lychee jelly. I'm glad I put lychee boba in this because it gives it more flavor and cuts the sourness from the lemon. I wish there was more wintermelon flavor in this drink. 5/10 recommend. I can't believe I haven't made a review for Sharetea yet. I love to come here whenever I need my boba fix and I am around the Shanghai plaza area. It's crazy because I remember coming here and the parking lot was never full. Now that the plaza is growing so fast, parking might be a hassle from time to time but not too bad. Inside- nice and clean ! They also have a good amount of seating area as well. On the right side of the entrance when you walk in they have a nice photo booth with a bright ring light where you can take a picture and have send it to your phone or email. Boba- their drinks always taste good and I never been disappointed. I got one the jasmine green tea with boba and my GF got the oolong milk tea. Their boba is nice and soft with good texture. Service- service is always great ! Super friendly and always are super helpful whenever you have questions about the menu. Came here for their soft opening on May 12th 2019 and have been coming back numerous times since. Me and the fam have tried just about every flavor they have. Our favorites are mainly from the Fruit Teas and Brewed Teas category which are Mango Green Tea, Wintermelon Lemonade, Strawberry Tea, Pineapple Green Tea, Pineapple Black Tea, Wintermelon Tea, and classic Green and Black Tea. Of course we get all our drinks with boba and I always get extra. You have tons of other options for toppings but boba will always and forever be my favorite topping. Just want to give out a special shout out to one of the workers there and her name is Monique. Ever since the soft opening it seems like she is always there every time we come in. It's 1 point for every dollar you spend. Matcha Green Tea Creama: The boba was pretty chewy and the drink itself was alright (This was from my first visit). I was expecting more of a Matcha flavor but that's okay. QQ Happy Family Milk Tea: I assume this is just a regular milk tea with pudding, mini boba, normal boba, red bean, lychee jelly and herbal jelly. I ordered and the employee just said there were 6 toppings already in it. I tried figuring out which toppings with every sip. I never order other toppings but it was nice to try something different. I had the choco milk one day and I thought it was a fluke at how watery it is. So I tried the matcha with real milk along with my sister (I had 80% sweetness and less ice and that was the only difference between the order). The product came out and the initial taste was nothing. No sweetness (mind you I asked for 80% sweetness), no milk taste ("real milk"), and no distinct matcha flavor. It was a 5 USD cup of opaque water with vague sweetness if even. It shouldn't have anything to do with the fact I asked for less ice and less sugar and to verify that, I tasted my sisters (which was regular ice and regular sugar) and it was the same. They were busy and I understand that but twice has the drinks been nothing but colorful water. What makes it even more irritating is that both drinks were 10 USD and the price isn't bad at all for a good drink. Except, it wasn't. I ordered a mango ice blended with ice cream and took the suggestion of the cashier to have the ice cream blended as well and I can say that was a great suggestion because it tasted really good. If you are in the mood for milk tea or boba, you can find at least 3-4 shops within a 100 yard radius from any where in China Town. With that said, and as a self proclaimed boba expert, I would like to share(tea) my experience with you!! The first thing that set this place apart for me was the positive vibe from the moment we walked in. One of the four girls working, not sure which, shouted out a warm welcome. I thought that was very refreshing, because I usually do not get a welcome at a boba shop even if I am the only customer. This might be considered a minor detail, but I loved the fact that their menu on the counter had bright, sufficient lighting and is very customer/reader friendly. Boba has become very sophisticated since I had my first cup of milk tea with tapioca pearls in Rowland Heights 20+ years ago. Back then the only decision I had to make was medium or large, lol! So, I really appreciated the fact the their menu was well laid out and easy to read. One of my pet peeves with so many of these new boba places is walking in and having to analyze the menu to figure out how and what I want to order‍. That is why I thought it was worth mentioning. Daphne was our cashier and her co-worker Jasmine stood next to her with a bright smile. As we placed our last order, like clockwork, Jasmine started making our drinks and Daphne explained their reward program and asked us if we would like to sign up, which I did btw. I really enjoyed watching the teamwork between the employees. The cheerful banter as they worked the machines and made their job look so fun and effortless. Jasmine called my name to let me know our drinks were ready and they were made exactly as we had ordered. She thanked us for waiting and wished us a great rest of our afternoon with her big, bright smile!
