Pretty much everyone knows what Jamba juice is and after going to a few of them, you might pick up on the fact that they are indeed a franchise. Meaning, that the quality can wildly vary in terms of the service and cleanliness. Pretty much all the food since it is franchised is reliable and the same, but it can very much depend on the management and the employees on your experience. The last time I was at this establishment I saw there were a few people online and I walked up to the cashier. I inquired If it was going to take longer than 10 minutes to get my drink, and he replied that no, they would have it out to me pretty promptly. I thanked him for that, as I was in a time crunch and just wanted to get some good healthy smoothie into my system. I ordered a large smoothie, paid, and waited in the back for my drink to come up. About 8 minutes later my drink was called. However, it was the wrong size. I brought this up to the cashier, and my first assumption that like Starbucks, she would have them remake the drink and take care of it. Rather, she had me show my receipt AND verified with the employee who took my order that it was supposed to be another size. He acknowledged that he punched the drink size wrong and that it was indeed supposed to be a large and apologized. Cool, I really appreciate him stepping up and acknowledging the mistake. However, the Girl tells me that because I was charged for medium I need to pay that difference for the large. Wait, wait, wait. This is taking longer than the 10 minutes than I was guaranteed for it to come, it was made wrong, your employee acknowledged he made a mistake, And you want to charge me for his mistake?! Are you serious? I then asked her if her manager was around as I spoke to a gentleman a week or two prior when we had had an issue where we were not given an item we paid for and he quickly resolved it and was personable and professional. But no, as it turns out, this young lady was actually the manager. And that was really disappointing all things considered. I realized at this point there was going to be no resolution and I point blank told her to forget about it and I had no interest in coming back. She just stared at me without a word. First time here at this location, came in to pass some time. The place was kind of crowded when I came in but the service was pretty fast. They have like 6 employees plus a manager. I ordered my drink and had a seat at a table. The drink was ready pretty fast which was nice but it also allowed me time to sit and look around the place. I noticed the lobby area where the tables are is pretty dirty. As I sat here, everyone who was in the store got their drinks and left as well as the one table with 4 people who were sitting there left which left me alone in the store with the employees. The manager gathered all the employees behind the counter for what sounded like a pep talk then they all disappeared into the back leaving me alone out front. I wondered why none one took the initiative to grab a broom and sweep the front since there was no one in the store but myself and there was no business coming in. After a few minutes, some more people came in and they were quick to come out of the back and yell welcome to the people who came in. From this point on there was a steady flow of customers coming in the door for drinks. It is interesting how employees seem to just hang out and chat instead of cleaning when they have a change to keep the looking good. With so many people they should come out from behind the counter and clean the tables and floor. The prep area seems to be clean and well organized, it s just the front area that seems to be neglected. Overall I give 3 stars based on the cleanliness of the place.
