I owe Kevin an update on my review as it's been some time now. So here it is! Sharetea has become one of my go-to boba spots in San Ramon. No other boba place has BoGo (Buy One Get One Free) offers and I love a deal. Then you ask, "But why not 5 stars?" Well, at one point there was a 5 star moment and then there seemed to be a change in folks working there. The quality seemed to be inconsistent depending on who made your drink. The boba sometimes is very sweet to not sweet at all to the right consistency to slightly undercooked but I haven't gotten overcooked boba which is good! Also depending on who's there, the person can be very knowledgeable of the drinks and tell you right away if sweetness can or cannot be changed which is VERY helpful. Perhaps the menu can indicate this so that it takes the responsibility away from the staff. Still everyone is very friendly and service is quite fast. I think there's just been some recent changes, so I'm seeing improvements. Again, it won't stop me from coming and I'll again change my review if things change. I'm definitely a fan. read more

Updating my review since ive been here at least 20 times since they've opened, i like this location more than the other ones since they have a BOGO deal. What other boba places have BOGO deals. They also offer my FAVORITE COFFEE MILK TEA for BOGO. I cant drink 2 coffee milk teas by myself but i can share with my brother or boyfriend. Sharing is caring . Ive recently tried their mango crema, strawberry black tea crema ( which tastes like strawberry ice cream amazingness ). Sesame milk tea, ginger milk tea slightly spicy, not so strong ginger taste. The wait is over! The Sharetea in Diablo Plaza is finally open! I'm glad they accept the Fivestars card, just like Kung Fu Tea inside Pleasanton Ranch 99. Location wise Sharetea is far more convenient for me compared to T4 on Alcosta. This location is pretty small with very limited seating, so its more conducive for take-out. They do have a nice wall-sized poster showing some of their moat popular drinks, so its worth looking first. I got the Honey Aloe for the wife and the Hokkaido Pearl Milk Tea for myself - all default ice and sweetness. Both drinks pretty good. I actually like the Hokkaido a bit better - has a smooth, almost caramel-like aftertaste. read more

Got the strawberry ice blended with ice cream and lychee jelly and it was pretty good. The service was fast as well, I didn't wait more than 5 minutes. The drinks are all one size and my only issue is the price. I can't justify paying $6.25 for this drink. read more

Located in a Safeway/CVS shopping center. Stopped by after lunch on a Saturday afternoon. Plenty of parking. A few people in line before and after us. It wasn't busy but there was a steady flow of customers. A-OK with me. Just the right speed. Cute little Shop with a couple of tables inside. Ok, onto the drinks! Okinawa Pearl Standard sweet/regular ice. This one taste better than T4. A really rich tea flavor. This drink is either standard sweet or no sweet. I like my drinks sweet. My parents ordered: Matcha Red Bean Milk Tea 30%sweet/ regular ice. Dad was happy with it. Had some red beans left over at the end. Definitely will be back to try out other drinks. Customer service was friendly. Thank you! Handmade Taro with Fresh Milk Standard Sweet/regular ice. Mom said it was a bit too sweet. It's either standard sweet or no sugar on this one. A personal and local favorite! Having exhausted my milk tea appetite during the T4 boom a couple summers ago, this was my first time having milk tea in a couple of years. I'd instead been ordering tea and longan/jujube/wintermelon type drinks at milk tea places. Sharetea makes a pretty good Wintermelon drink (I get mine 0% ice 0% sweet with Aloe Vera) but since I actually opted for the Coffee Milk Tea (0% ice 0% sweet with Aiyu Jelly) this time, I thought I'd check in with a review. This was my first time trying both the Coffee Milk Tea and the Aiyu Jelly. Even without sweetness it was very satisfying and tasted exactly like it's name suggests. The Aiyu Jelly was very pleasant--slightly citrusy but reminded me of fig--and complimented the drink surprisingly well. I would order the same drink again. In my experience, the baristas at this location are always friendly and efficient. The interior is pretty small, so definitely plan to grab and go. As a rule, I prefer Sharetea and rank them pretty highly against other chains in the area because to me their drinks taste fresher. That being said, their drinks do run sweet and I would consider reducing your normal sweetness level. They're also slightly more pricey and their only come in one size (probably what would be a large). Also keep an eye out for their drink specials! I had to come in after Poke Don for a passion mango fruit green tea 50% sweet with less ice to help wash down my meal. I'm a regular at many Sharetea locations and familiar with the menu. I was surprised that they open at 10a.m. because all the others open at 11 or 12. The customer service is nice and fast. The girl working the counter whose name I don't remember told me that during the weekdays they get really busy when the open from customers from all the businesses around them. This is good info to know so I don't show up during those times and days for an early fix. I was pleased with the service that I shall return. read more

First time at a Sharetea location and am quite content with their boba creations! Not a ton of people here but the staff was friendly and helpful during our time here. They have a ton of options! The drinks a little pricier but I think the sizes of their drinks are also slightly larger. For example, T4 offers cheaper boba drinks but their cups are on the smaller side. At least compared to the ones at Sharetea. What I like about Sharetea is that they have fresh taro drinks! My brother ordered one when we came here, and the taro tasted extremely fresh. My matcha green tea creama was stellar. I didn't make any modifications to it, though, and should have toned down the sweetness. It was too sweet as it was. read more

So glad they finally opened one up in the Tri-Valley. No more standing in line at their San Mateo or San Jose locations! Friendly staff, quick service, great drinks, no lines, and tons of parking... My favorites are: okinawa with aloe, black sesame milk tea, and fresh taro hot milk tea. Be careful with the black sesame drinks. The seeds were all over my teeth! Lol. Love the hot taro milk tea especially with the recent cold weather. You don't actually get to the taro until the last 1/4 of the cup. Be sure to sign in with your FiveStars rewards card. I've already cashed in 3 free drinks. I probably go there way too much and usually walk out with 4-5 drinks. Actually a decent boba place in the San Ramon area? Yes! What a surprise to see one of these pop up next to Subway in the all too familiar strip mall on San Ramon Valley Blvd. Drinks range from $3.00 to $4.50 - that's it! Take your pick and you won't be disappointed. Toppings are $0.50 each. They even have hot drinks served here! I like that Sharetea gives you the option as part of every order to choose the amount of ice and the level of sweetness. My go-to is always the green milk tea with grass jelly - less ice, 50% sweet, delish! No seating available inside, so more of a grab & go place vs. the other locations they have. Been to a few of these but my first time at this location. I went on a Tuesday lunch afternoon and they had two gals working there. The people in front of me had order like 15 drinks. The cashier basically ignored us instead of telling us it would be a while and just looked stressed out. I'm sure it pretty chill most of the time though. The tea itself was decent and tapioca / boba was soft. I like that you can pick how sweet you want it and how much ice. They take Five Star rewards FYI! read more

Love Sharetea, when I started working in San Ramon, I didn't know how close it was, I usually go there a lot, but since they opened one near where I live, I am loyal to them. 4 stars this time because I used to Clover app to order my drink. I picked classic pearl MT. It automatically selected extra ice, substitute boba, and 120% sweetener. So I selected extra ice, regular boba, 100% sweetener, and I got all except the sweetener tasted off. All options were a bit out of order and a little difficult to use. This place is in a pretty busy shopping center so you'll find parking. The guy who was the cashier was super helpful since it was my first time. They also let me taste something clear made out of jelly that they put in the drinks. It was not boba it was something else. Drinks are pretty large and they come with a seal so they don't spill in your car. It's a little pricey but that's everywhere in San Ramon. Next time I would probably not put the clear jelly thing they put inside the drink but overall was good. read more

Felt like leaving a good review because I've always liked this place and don't think some of the bad reviews are fair (in my opinion)! I just went in today, and liked the system they had for social distancing. The employees also prepared my drink very fast which I appreciate, because I was on my 1-hour lunch break. It's true they don't do phone orders but they do pick up the phone when you call, so if you don't like waiting in line, you could always call ask how the line looks outside. read more

This sharetea location is very clean and has very nice employees. The menu options are the same as any other sharetea. I usually order the Thai Tea, less ice, regular sweetness. It was just as expected, what I like about their Thai tea is the thickness of the drink. My husband ordered the Taro milk tea, no ice, regular sweetness. He wasn't too fond of it. There was a lack of taro flavor in his cup & it had a coffee taste to it. He never drinks coffee, so the flavor for him stood out. read more

Very expected of a Sharetea store. I was honestly pretty surpised they opened a store in San Ramon since it isn't a city/area I would say is boba crazy. It was a bit slower than the other locations but I couldn't complain about the taste. Exactly the same as drinking a mango green tea from Berkeley or San Diego. For people new to Sharetea, you can customize your drink, so you can make ask for sweetness percentage (50% sweet is what I go with) and ice amount (I go with less ice). read more

I frequent other share tea locations. I can't recommend this location however. They served a boba drink with coagulated boba-I couldn't break up the boba. It was the size of a softball. So not only was there little tea, I couldn't eat the boba! I went to the front to point this out. The kids working couldn't even apologize. Drinks are better made than the Dublin location. Consistent quality. But the best thing yet is they promote bringing your own cup. They give you 10 cent credit but more importantly don't give you a weird look for using your own cup. New is that they sell a "Sharetea tumbler" which keeps it colder and larger in volume. Contracted them for 90 drinks, delivered, for my wedding in Dublin. Contacted them through their Facebook page and they were extremely responsive and helpful. Paid the night before, and they delivered the drinks on time and brought people to move, clean, and arrange the drinks. Everyone at my wedding loved it! read more

Came here on a Thursday night at approximately 7:30 pm after having some Pho at Pho Viet. It was pretty empty inside with only one table with a party of 2. Sharetea just hasn't been our go to for boba as there are just too many other chains that offer a larger variety of boba drinks and snacks (iTea, T4, boba guys, happy lemon, April 8 cafe). Took a few minutes to reacquaint ourselves with the menu. My youngest remembered that he liked the strawberry ice blended with ice cream so we proceeded to step forward to the register to order. What happened next just blew my mind: Me: Hi, can we get 2 strawberry ice blendeds, instead of lychee jelly crystal boba with-- ShareTea Employee: tersely cutting me off as she proceeded to bark at me, my family and a friend while giving a dirty look "crystal what? What's that?" Me: The white boba- Employee: We don't have that! Me: Noticing that everyone in my family was feeling a tad intimidated by this girl, I reluctantly proceed to try and finish ordering. "Ok then let's go with regular boba". Before I could even say how much sweetness or ice the employee began to continue barking the question with a look of disdain on her face and impatience in her tone. Annoyed, I reluctantly continued to specify our next few drinks: oolong cream- again rudely cut off and barked at she asks how much sweetness and ice. Our friend who is a very kind and timid individual looks completely afraid at this point is gesturing to just go with the default sweetness and ice. I then ask for another oolong cream when yet AGAIN I'm rudely cut-off. At this point enough is enough WHAT is wrong with this country? Why do we think customer service has the right to be rude to customers? I finally speak up. "You know you don't have to speak like that." That simple comment didn't even seem to sink in with her as I received a look of disdain and disbelief. I continue to explain that she "snipped and rudely cut us off treating us like crap!" I'll give credit to the employee as she said "sorry." At this point she has put a damper on our evening. Our drinks arrive, we grab a seat and then my kids ask "what's wrong with that lady? Why was she so mean?" I explain that it's a lack of knowledge around customer service and pride of one's job. I told my kids that it's not ok to bark at people like that. Aside from the initial horrible customer service the drinks were actually quite good. My kids enjoyed their drinks and we enjoyed the oolong creams. As we were leaving Sharetea the other young woman asks us if we wanted a black tea cream, that it was made with no sugar accidentally. She unlike the other employee was smiling and friendly. Not sure if we'll back. Too many boba options around to have to be treated poorly. #Bummer read more

Love the tea. Drive out of my way to come here. Spend $5 plus for one drink and am willing to do so, that's how much I enjoy the product. The 3 stars is reflective of the Manager lady who is something else. While handing me the drink, she lets me know "she is the manager" and begins to scolded me for substituting items in my drink, telling me I will need to pay more next time. I was like "I never questioned how much I pay for what I like, why the heck are you coming after me - go tell your staff who ring up the drink". I have ordered this exact same drink, with same substitution over 10-15 times and have never had any issues and I have never questioned the cost. This franchise partner needs to take a hard look at their Managment at this location. She demonstrated no sense of customer service and that same attitude probably reflects back on how the staff also feel about her. read more

Pros: - Good quality tea and boba. The tea flavor is strong and really comes out. My favorites are their black milk tea, roasted oolong milk tea, and taro milk tea. I love their taro milk tea the best out of all the boba spots in the area. Nice and creamy, not watered-down (I'm referring to their regular taro milk tea. I don't care much for fresh taro milk teas in general because I find the taro bits to be distracting). Boba pearls are nice and chewy. - Good service overall. They don't skimp on my milk tea when I ask for no ice. By principle, I appreciate this. (Disclaimer though: it might depend on the baristas who make it? I can't recall if this happens all the time, but my most recent order was indeed topped off.) - A little bit pricey, though the portions are TALL and make it worth your buck. Cons: - That being said, maybe their drinks are a little too tall? I guess that's a good problem to have for a boba-lover, but I can't finish it myself sometimes. I guess you really do have to share the tea (corny joke fully intended)... - No snacks and not much of a hangout spot. ): The place is small with only two tables and gets very loud easily. It's more like a grab-and-go spot. Pro-tip: - Sign up for their Five-Stars rewards program and get email notifications for their deals (eg- BOGO, $1 off, build up points to get a free topping or drink). So worth it. read more

I frequent many of these Franchise shops. Good customer service at this location. It's also one that I haven't had to wait real long to get my drink. Still hoping they'll figure out a way to add my lychee (flavor) not toppings and taro to a drink mix soon. Until then I have to just add the Lychee as a topping. We came here yesterday (Saturday afternoon) to pass some time after doing Zscape nearby. Clean, fast service and our drinks were good enough. I liked the ability to lower the sweetness of the drink too. HOWEVER I did not like the minimal options available on the shakes (7?). Also only one size. ShareTea San Ramon remains as the local area's most trusted boba shop. In today's climate of boba store competition, nothing beats the kindness and customer service that the staff provide, partnered with the delicious drinks that are served incredibly quickly. My go-to drinks are the Hokkaido Milk Tea at 80% sweet, and the Mango Green Tea at 50% sweet that manages to tastes amazing every time. The tea flavors are prominent unlike many other boba shops, and the boba ball topping is made authentically with perfect consistency. This particular location places itself at a decent standard; one that is not cheap and feels low quality, but also not a high end, fancy boba. It's a casual spot that's perfect to fulfill boba cravings on the go, and I hope to try other flavors in the future. Review #089 - 2016 Showed up around 6:30 PM on a Friday evening to meet up with my younger sister. This location has plenty of parking, but if you drive an SUV like I do, parking can be a pain because the spots right out front are compact size spots. When we showed up, the place was already pretty busy. However, once we got in line, even more people showed up, but the kids here are good at keeping calm and managing the lines. They get your drinks ready pretty quickly as well. The only bad thing is that this location has only 4 tables so it gets pretty crowded when it's busy. This place is owned by the same owner as the Concord location, I believe. They make the drinks just as tasty as the Concord location does so it's nice knowing we can meet half way here. read more

Good boba in SR...finally!! I've never been to a Sharetea (shame, shame) and am so happy with the crazy # of options, namely getting to select the sugar level of each drink. For first timers (like moi), there's a huge picture of their top 20 best sellers to get you started. Non-caffeinated choices are important for me (nursing) & my kids so we went with: *mango blended icy with lychee jelly *handmade taro foam milk, 0% sweet, mini pearls *passion fruit with yakult, 50% sweet, reg pearls The winner was the passion fruit with yakult...which was weird because I was sure it'd taste off because of the yakult...but was pleasantly moded. With so many different options and add-ons to customize, it's kinda daunting for first timers - like Starbucks virgins. It's prob a good idea to check out their menu online (http://www.shareteaconcord.com/menu/) before your first trip so you don't hold up the line and irritate regulars like I did.
