Ordered the shark burger with no onion, no tomato and a key lime pie togo. When I got the burger, there was onion and tomato on it. The actual patty, sauce and fries tasted good which is why It didn't get one star. I walked maybe 5 mins and my key lime pie looked like it had straight milk on the bottom of it. Service was decent. Overall, burger tasted good but didn't get what I wanted and service was decent. I am pretty disappointed

A quaint place by the beach. We were looking for a place to eat after walking on the beach. Not much choice for food here by the beach. Venue: small casual joint with bar seats, high too and table. Food: small menu. For some reason, didn't want anything else on the menu but could not pass for oysters. We ordered what was recommended for oysters. It was good. But I've had much better. Tried their margarita flight - it was extremely acidic. Service: it was good. Slow service I thought. Our server seemed ahead had a lot of hat on. Price: average.

I attended a private event at Shark Bar and Kitchen recently. I have passed this place many times heading to the beach and had no idea the gem that was inside. The intimate seating, well stocked bar, and unique decor all made for an inviting location for my team. We enjoyed several different dishes including smash burger style sliders, shrimp cocktail, oysters, fresh sushi, poke, and more. Every bite was tasty and they were washed down with classic cocktails and beer selections that anyone could enjoy. The staff were all friendly and helpful. There were no empty glasses or stomachs. I hear that there's going to be a sushi bar upstairs soon, so I've got to come back for that. All in all, this is a great little spot for classic beach fare and a solid drink while people watching out of the window.

Weird service...at the bar and wasn't greeted by a server. Just handed waters for the three of us. Then we watched the server wait on 2 tables that were seated after us. We requested a drink menu but she never returned to get our orders. The only way we were able to put an order in was to ask the hostess if we "could order food and drinks" duh! Again....service is weird and almost insulting. Menu reads pretty cool. Disappointed it's only 6p and they are out of the Duck Fat Potatoes and caviar small plate. Ordered "crab fingers" $28 breaded crab claws came. Not "fingers with crab meat" Expressing martini has grounds in it. Lort! Smoked Cobb salad has no smoke flavor. Brined Pork belly is bland and dry. Yikes menu reads well but is POORLY executed! So bad food ; bad service.

I got the market fish sandwich ($23) and it came out in about 20 minutes. The fish was cooked and seasoned perfectly! I absolutely love how the fish tasted in my mouth. The chips were also quite good. The staff were friendly. The only complaint was that we were a little cramp where we were sat. Overall the food was amazing! Very fresh and amazing. A great meal after a day at the beach! Food(50%): 9.0 Staff/service(25%): 7.5 Value(25%): 7.0 Overall: 8.1/10

Food was good. Atmosphere was good. I'm not a fan of food that is even moderately spicy so this wasn't my favorite meal of the trip but I would recommend this spot for the close proximity to the best beachwear shop (access 16), the beach and the pier all in one stop.

DELICIOUS!!!! We walked in at 8 o'clock and they closed at 9. The girls were so sweet and accommodating & let us sit outside. All of the food was so incredibly delicious. We alll said it was the best meal of our entire trip. And not badly priced! Definitely a smaller joint, so make a reservation if you decide to go. Would definitely recommend or come back here!

4.5 Stars: Hidden Culinary Gem Masquerading as a Sports Bar! Shark Bar & Kitchen at 13 East Salisbury Street, Wrightsville NC 28480 When we walked into Shark Bar & Kitchen, the atmosphere was classic, cool neighborhood bar--perfect for watching the Carolina Panthers game. But let me tell you, the moment we caught the scent of seriously good seasoning, everything changed. When a sports bar menu starts dropping high-end ingredients like "Duck Fat" and "Caviar," you know you're in for a surprise, and this spot absolutely delivered! We ordered a few things just to test the waters, and the results were jaw-dropping: The WOW Factor Dishes * Duck Fat Kettle Chips w/ Whipped Crème Fraîche + Caviar: UNBELIEVABLE. I've had caviar on my travels to Brazil, but this was a revelation. The chips were crisp, the crème fraîche was smooth and creamy, and the caviar was fresh and perfectly salty. The combination is a textural and flavor masterpiece--a truly elevated bar snack that you must try. * Grilled Oysters (topped with Parmesan cheese): Forget a 10/10; these were a 15/10! Perfectly grilled, smoky, and topped with a savory, melted Parmesan finish. A must-order. * Market Fish Sandwich (Blackened Flounder): Top notch! The flounder was seasoned brilliantly and cooked perfectly. The balance of the blackened fish with the slaw, sliced jalapeño, and tartar sauce created a flavor explosion that was out of this world. The Service That Earned the Stars1/2 We had one initial hiccup with the Crab Fingers (hand-tossed, fried crab claws)--the first batch wasn't as fresh as the other food. However, our waitress was a superstar! We let her know, and without hesitation, she had the chef prepare a brand-new order from the crabs delivered that day. The fresh batch was a HOMERUN. This is the kind of service that shows they truly care about quality and customer experience. Final Verdict Shark Bar & Kitchen is now our W.O.W. Location: Wrightsville Outstanding Win! It's a spectacular spot that deserves recognition not just as a great bar, but as a serious foodie destination. Easily a 4.5-star experience and now in my top 5 places to eat in Wrightsville Beach. I only hope I can get a table every time we return! Review by: Creating Exposure... Through Food | mP

The ladies behind the bar today were so nice and helpful when selecting a wine to drink. The raw oysters were huge and came with all the fixings.

8/26/23 My husband and I came here for dinner but decided upon sitting down that we were only going to order their appetizer of the fried combo platter of oysters, grouper and shrimp. The food was average but quickly served. The service was great too. I was disappointed not to see shark options at a place named shark bar. Also there weren't any local tap beers available. Other than that it was a good experience.

There is an elevator you can take to the 2nd floor. Had a nice view of the ocean from our table. We didn't have enough time to check out the beach since it became dark early. There are quite a few steps to get down to the beach area from the restaurant (since it is on the 2nd floor) and you will need to walk a short distance. We started off with the Pork belly banh mi sliders appetizer, which were an excellent choice. I loved the crunchy bits of the sweet and salty pork belly. For entrees we had the handhelds Bacon jam B.L.T. and Vegan burger. The Bacon jam B.L.T. was great. The vegan burger was okay - I didn't like the flavor as much and the big raw onion slice. Both entrees came with a choice of a side - we chose fries and sweet potato tots. Fries were good. Sweet potato tots were not bad but not as crispy compared to Mess Hall's tator tots. Also had the pesto flatbread with balsamic glaze, which was good. The flatbread was more on the softer side. It sure made for a tasty leftover snack. Service was okay. Highchairs are available. They have a Kids menu/coloring page with crayons. Would come back to try other foods.
