I made the mistake of not calling ahead, thinking it shouldn't be too bad of a wait, I waited around 40 minutes. There was just one stylist working, maybe because it's Sunday, I'm not sure. Once it was my turn. I sat in the in chair and she put the cape on me. I told her I'd like a trim and some side bangs. The stylist's name was Jodi or Josie. She sprayed my hair with some water first. After brushing my hair, and sectioning it two sections, she began trimming my hair. When it was time for my bangs, she asked me how short I'd like them. My whole haircut was complete in under 10 minutes. It looks light and fresh. At this hair salon there is a 4% discount if you pay using cash. I would come here again for a basic trim.

I felt like being in a cheap market where everybody tries to take money from you no matter how instead of in a hair salon! I'm the type of person who does things like hair last minute because, on my days off, I have a lot to do (but I'm also an antsy person and I know it takes long). It. Was. Worth. It. When I called to make an appointment, they told me "walk-in's only on Saturday" so, naturally, I was there at 7:59AM expecting a line at the door. To my surprise, I was pleasantly greeted, taken to a chair within minutes and immediately consulted. Calling all humans with hair: go here. A lot of people are intimidated by the idea of going to get their hair done by anything less than a 'professional'. Good for them, go pay $80 for a trim. Prior to this, my best result was with a woman down south who taught hair at a cosmetology school before making the coveted leap to an "upscale" salon. She was awesome. I only have the one experience with Ms. Karen and Yanna, but Ms. Karen was very attentive the entire time. was truly involved in the teaching process and really understood what I wanted. (I'm not basic.. lol) Yanna comes from a long line of barbers and hair stylists. She is going to be one of the greats, because she cares. THIS is the best my hair has ever looked. Shout out to Becca too for helping with the foils and the color on the front hairline. Sure, my full foil took a little longer that usual, so if you aren't patient, bring a book and chill the F*ck out. Just mentally prepare yourself. I'd say it's like Padawan's learning from Jedi. This was years ago. Second complaint another student left me while she went to the Finance office and Miss Karen was livid about it. Third complaint was a few weeks ago. I had asked for low and high lights and ended up with grayish tones throughout my hair so upon calling that Monday to ask if they could fix it, Miss Marie told me it's a school and I said what does that have to do with anything so I went in on Thursday and they put a blonde toner in and of course it was better than nothing compared to the way I left so beware if you even speak up about the service because you're not pleased, you will be asked to never come back, this is very unprofessional and if it's a school, then the students would have to learn just as if they worked in a real Salon, etc.. I had never left a review before because I didn't think it was necessary. I thought the School was handling it, but then I was told they were taking notes about me very childish and unprofessional upon trying to call the owner Mr. G who owns a very successful business in Rocky Hill he never returned my phone calls just had his reception take information and never got back to me! I also left an email for Martin G and he never responded. I'm not the first do your due diligence and gore reviews all over other platforms. Miss Marie has zero class and had Miss Pam tell me upon me leaving that I cannot come back there!

I went yesterday for a 60 min massage and a pedicure and could not have been happier with my experience. Both services were perfection. I actually hesitated to try a pedicure because I have gone to my normal nail place religiously for years and have been happy but Ratha blew my nail salon out of the water. The attention to detail, the care and consideration of my comfort, and the absolute gorgeous job she did was more than I could have ever hoped. Not to mention, this is the softest my feet have ever felt in years. Like butter! She was also lovely to work with. My massage with Courtney was also incredible. Again, massages are nothing new to me, so I sort of go into each massage knowing what to expect but Courtney melted me. I never fall asleep during a massage (maybe once in my entire life) and I was out like a light at some point. She was so careful of the space on my shoulder I told her about the recent surgery on, but didn't ignore it and deprive me of any of the shoulder massage piece. She accommodated my still-drying toe nails from pedicure prior (I didn't have any choice about timing; I added the pedicure on at the last minute and they were happy to work around my request). All in all, I was happy with scheduling, the services, and felt that pricing was more than fair for the quality of the services received. With that being said, the woman who did my hair fried it, I have fine hair, you don't get to rip it out, she literally pulled the comb though the knots she created, anyone with common sense knows you don't do that, even after conditioning my hair it felt dry and fried, she was extremely rough and couldn't tell that I was getting madder each pull of my head. If this is how paying customers are treated you do not belong in business, and the hairdresser should be fried or retrained, but in my opinion she doesn't belong as a hairdresser. I will never ever go back, she didn't even cut or style it as requested. Very poor service and quality, I guess you get what you pay for.
