I went yesterday for a 60 min massage and a pedicure and could not have been happier with my experience. Both services were perfection. I actually hesitated to try a pedicure because I have gone to my normal nail place religiously for years and have been happy but Ratha blew my nail salon out of the water. The attention to detail, the care and consideration of my comfort, and the absolute gorgeous job she did was more than I could have ever hoped. Not to mention, this is the softest my feet have ever felt in years. Like butter! She was also lovely to work with. My massage with Courtney was also incredible. Again, massages are nothing new to me, so I sort of go into each massage knowing what to expect but Courtney melted me. I never fall asleep during a massage (maybe once in my entire life) and I was out like a light at some point. She was so careful of the space on my shoulder I told her about the recent surgery on, but didn't ignore it and deprive me of any of the shoulder massage piece. She accommodated my still-drying toe nails from pedicure prior (I didn't have any choice about timing; I added the pedicure on at the last minute and they were happy to work around my request). All in all, I was happy with scheduling, the services, and felt that pricing was more than fair for the quality of the services received. I have paid much more for pedicures and massages, only to be disappointed in the results. Highly recommend Parisian! Looking forward to returning to use the remainder of my gift card soon!

At 81 years old, I wanted a short pixie cut with fringed bangs. First, I was given a relaxing hair shampoo with some scalp message with a thorough rinse (which some stylists don't do) and a keratin treatment I had requested. Megina spent a lot of time cutting my hair and fringing it as I requested. She was truly wonderful. I left the salon feeling rejuvenated and very happy with my hair style as well as the cost.

I was told by hairstylist Jennifer in confidence that what I wanted can be easily done. 5 hours later and my hair was fried (had to cut more than two inches) and it had turned green/blue. And looked so disgusting that I had to keep my hair up or braided to not draw attention. The entire appointment Jennifer was rude and making excuses for the AWFUL things she was doing to my hair. She got to the point of cutting random chunks of my hair. I was naive and thought it was my fault based on the fact I had never lightened my hair before. She was blaming the way my hair was colored (wasn't colored), the way my hair was cut, and any other excuse she could pull. I later found out that this woman specializes in MENS HAIRCUTS. and had never mentioned to me once about how uncomfortable she was or unconfident that she could do a good job. She kept me under the dryer for almost 40 minutes with bleach and foil in my hair. And toward the end of the appointment admitted defeat by saying "I don't care what clients think of their hair, as long as I like it I know I did a good job." It's safe to say I got a refund from the owner who again, was incredibly nice. I'm just baffled that this other professional did not mention her uncertainty once and royally messed up my completely healthy hair. I was able to fix it at Beautiful People salon in Cromwell (see my review on their page to see final results). I will never be asking for Jennifer again, and am so disappointed with how unprofessional the entire experience was.

She must have used a very strong developer (or something) because what I walked out with was ORANGE, BRASSY hair. Not to mention that my hair STARTED SMOKING when Kelly Marie had it in the foils. I alerted her, she made a face like, "Oh no," unfolded the foil, took a look & just closed it back up & left it on for another 15 or so minutes...what in the world?! End result, the entire top of my head lost about 8 inches and then they had the nerve to charge me $200+ for it! I was realistic in my color choice & was still staying in the "dark" color family so why did I walk out with orange, brassy hair? When I say orange...I mean literally orange. I was too nice since I saw Kellys eyes get watery when I told her it wasn't what I wanted and I didn't notice the fall out until I got home. The next day, I went back and had Sammy Jo try to fix it. She applied a nice color that quickly washed off after my 1st wash. All I was left with was dried, orange, shreds of long and short brillo-like hair. Only if you don't like your hair, then you can give them a try. Maybe they'll do a nice job with cuts but I woudn't trust them with color or anything that involves chemicals.

The salon is very large but only one hairdresser was working, she told me she was booked for the day. I asked If my previous stylist Amelia was available in the upcoming days and found out she was no longer there. It doesn't seem that this salon can keep a hairdresser longer than a couple months!! I'm not sure why they have a sign promoting walk ins if they don't have the staff available to fulfill. Although this is a beautiful salon, they are clearly doing something wrong here and after such a high turnover rate, the owner should think about doing some things differently. I do appreciate that the owner was always willing to make things right, which says a lot about their commitment to customer service. Unfortunately, I reached a point where I couldn't continue trusting that I would leave happy. My biggest frustration was with the lack of professional accountability from some stylists. If a result doesn't look good, it should be acknowledged and addressed rather than pretending everything is fine. Consistency and honesty are just as important as talent, and that's ultimately why I decided to go elsewhere.

I was just looking for my hair to not be as yellow, since I didn't think anyone could fix it in one appointment. Jen took out the yellow tiger stripes and blotchy spots, and gave me the most beautiful and natural looking highlights. My hair has dimension and is super shiny again. Seriously, she worked some magic :) I'm so happy I finally found a salon in CT! And the prices here are super reasonable. I should note, Ashley is fabulous as well. Both of these ladies will provide you with professional and kind service. Today I met Leslie for a facial.. what a special and caring person she is. She created such a relaxing and beautiful room to pamper her clients. The facial was so much more than a facial! I was immediately helped to relax. She took her time, massaged my head, shoulders and parts of my upper shoulders and back. I felt so taken care of and she was just lovely to chat with. I didn't realize just how much I needed this pampering and relaxation. I left feeling so happy & relaxed... from a booked facial! I'm still new to this salon so I imagine as I experience new services I can come back and update you. In addition to hair and skin care, nutritional services and life coaching, they have a masseuse and a red laser lit sauna!
