The service was great, very attentive and constantly checking up on us. During the day, the sun will burn you alive so take a hat or sunscreen to avoid getting burnt, but during 5pm and on, the view is incredible! Great music to give the mood to the ambiance, and the lighting and decor is great. They always give complimentary champagne to toast to the beautiful sunset. We ordered their whole fried fish of the day, their churrasco and the cilantro lime shrimp. We loved the whole fish, very delicious and crunchy. The cilantro lime shrimp bowl, is good, ALOT is served so best to share if you are not too famished. The churrasco was soft and good, but the portion is very small for the price. The beans were plain, and the rice was good. Oh and the yuca was also delicious. Brooooo but them Parmesan truffle fries thoooo.... Uff!!! They bring it as a side order and wow I was in love!!!!!!! This restaurant was a really good find. We used Yelp to find it, and thought it was a stand alone restaurant. It actually is inside of a resort, on one of the few beaches in the area. The beach is for resort guests only but they allow you to eat dinner or have drinks at the restaurant, which is really more like a small bar area with a few tables on a patio. The menu was somewhat small but there were a lot of really great unique options, which made it very hard to decide. I ended up with a pasta dish and my husband had a hamburger. We split lobster nachos. We loved all of our dishes. They were very tasty, a reasonable portion, and made at the right temperature. Our server was very nice but not real attentive and we had to ask for drinks more than once. The prices for food and drinks were definitely on the higher end and to top it off they added an automatic gratuity into the bill and we almost left a 20 percent tip on accident on top of that until we saw that a 18 percent service fee had already been added. So, watch the bill. What was really disappointing was that there was a group of 4-5 VERY DRUNK people sitting at the bar. They were yelling and being very loud to the point that the bar tender kept rolling his eyes. Everyone in the bar/restaurant was obviously disturbed by their antics (getting out of their chairs and play fighting, rough housing, and just being very loud and disruptive to everyone else). But no one said or did anything. A manager should have been called over to ask them to quiet down or go down to the beach area. They really were a downer for what should have been a nice meal. There was someone singing live music on the patio, and from what I was able to hear over the loud obnoxious bar patrons, she sounded very good. This is a beautiful resort with a very nice bar area overlooking the beach with good food. Just be aware of the issues mentioned above. Easy parking. read more

Dry Rocks did not disappoint this birthday girl. I have a good track record for having the best birthday dinners and this year was no different! Oceanfront seating. We sat in the swinging chairs which was a nice touch. The food was phenomenal! My date and I basically split everything. The fries were gone before the nachos and fish even came out lol! Fries are my favorite and especially truffle fries! So gooood! The lobster and shrimp nachos were soooo good and they definitely don't cheat you out of the seafood. I had shrimp and lobster on every bite! The fish.... My goodness... The catch of the day, Yellowtail snapper, fresh crispy flakey seasoned to perfection... the sides were black beans yucca fries and cilantro rice. However the rice was crunchy and inedible. But honestly I forgot about the rice. The rest of the food was so good we didn't mind. The service was top tier so I'm sure we could've sent it back but no worries. The yucca fries were even great with the dipping sauce that it came with. The drinks were awesome! I had the drink of the day a coco mojito I believe it's called. A mojito with coconut cream. So good. We went on taco Tuesday's but we didn't get any tacos. However we still enjoyed the two for one margaritas. I didn't even finish mine so I took it back to my suite along with an order of churros with caramel sauce. We also took the leftover nachos but the churros were warm and fresh so we ate those and forgot all about the nachos lol smh. Overall, I can't wait to visit this restaurant the next time I'm at Bakers Cay. Glad we chose this place over the other restaurant in the resort. The ambiance is amazing! This place has a view of the beach from inside and outside. The outside dining has swing chairs and large couches and even some swinging egg chairs. I ordered the taqueria salad and added chicken. I loved that the meat was seasoned and not just cold cut up chicken they added like many other places so when you add meat to a salad. My husband and daughter ordered the chimichurri skirt steak. I took a bit and it was absolutely amazing. Each of us ordered a cocktail. I had the Pina colada and it was pleasantly sweet without being overbearingly sweet and it had just the right amount of rum for the kick. For dessert, we ordered the key lime pie. Inside Bakers Cay Resort. My family and I were looking forward to having a meal or two. When we first walked in, we were pleasantly surprised by the vibe and service. All of us ended up ordering many different dishes. Everything we ordered was delicious! We ended up eating here at least once or twice everyday. I typically only write positive reviews but this disappointing experience warranted a review. My parents have lived in Key Largo for over 20 years, and we vacationed as a family here for 20 years before that. This last experience at Dry Rocks at Bakers Cay Resort, was very unfortunate despite the gorgeous setting. First things first, they made us Valet our car, $15 just to be able to go to and eat at the restaurant. The service was slow, and We were the only ones dining there. Drinks were so expensive ($19) a piece and weren't great. The food was incredibly disappointing. We ordered the queso blanco to share before our meals, the chips were stale and the queso was orange straight out of a grocery store jar. The main meals were ok. There were four of us, 2 non drinkers and 2 who ordered a margarita a piece. A 20% gratuity was automatically added without our knowledge. For 4 people, we paid almost $300 plus a $15 valet bill. The weather was beautiful, the resort was dead. The beach only had a few people. Not surprising based on this experience and the rumor of new management. Not sure I'll be back Any time soon. read more

Although this place is beautiful and the environment is great. Beautiful views of the sunset, it is an open door restaurant where all doors are open and exposed to the exterior you get wet when it rains it's hot and humid 99% of the year, but the drinks are great they have a great Mezcal and tequila variety limited albeit worthwhile. Right off at the beach so you have great views of the water from almost every seat, and the food is very decent. We had shrimp nachos and they were absolutely exquisite the spicy mayo sauce was good it was very excessive. The fish tacos were good and a decent bambino kids menu. The meat tacos were great too. The only reason they get a lower rating is cause the service is sooooonslow. Took 50 minutes to get food after it was ordered. read more

I would highly recommend visiting Dry Rocks! While on vacation, I tried the steak and chicken bowl. Both were excellent. My husband ordered the chicken quesadillas which were great! We also tried the Mahi tacos one night which I would skip next time. The bowls were our favorite; they were packed with a lot of flavors and sauces! Portion size was very large and shareable. She was extremely knowledgeable about the many tequilas offered and talked to us at length about them which was really neat to learn. For reference, this is the second time we've stayed at Bakers Cay and when we arrived we came to Dry Rocks for dinner. First and foremost, the view is great, right on the water with an absolutely spectacular view. The service very attentive and friendly. Let's get to the food... I'm a connoisseur of Jerk seasoning and sauce. This restaurant offers wings with an option for Jerk sauce... when I ordered it 3 years ago, I wasn't expecting much, BUT, OH. MY. GOODNESS... it blew me out of the water! The flavor was addictive... completely authentic (you'd literally have to be in Jamaica or have a Jamaican making this sauce). So when I came back, I ordered the very same wings. Soooo flavorful, the right amount of heat, perfectly crafted... I'm not lying, if you put the jerk sauce on a flip flop it would be delicious! It's literally the best and most flavorful bite ON THIS ENTIRE ISLAND.. I legit mean it and I don't take this review lightly. If you want the perfect jerk sauce, I highly recommend the wings with the jerk sauce. The GM was attentive to come and visit his patrons and give kudos to his staff, which I appreciated. This is on the beach of the Baker's cay resort. The restaurant is great and the staff is amazing. The food is amazing. Especially the spicy fruit salad and truffle fries. The rest of the food is equally good. The staff is amazing. The ambiance is great as it is by the water. Evenings have some mosquitoes but nothing bug spray doesn't solve. Be aware you either need a day pass which is $100 per person or be a hotel guest. Luckily the guard shack let us go to front desk to inquire about day pass. The manager there was very kind and as long as we promised not go anywhere else on the property she allowed us to have lunch at Dry Rocks. The ambience is beautiful and serene. I am hesitant with hotel restaurants, but Dry Rocks did NOT disappoint. In fact, it blew me away! The scenery, ambience, and food quality are hard to beat. The restaurant is inside Bakers Clay Hilton Curio Hotel, and it is right on the water. There are three levels of seating with different type tables, wood swings for 2 or couches that you can enjoy good drinks and great food while listening to good tunes. We ordered Queso as an appetizer and this was not overly delicious. It was the one piece of the meal that was not great. After that we ordered the Cuban sandwich with fries and that dish was really, really good! I am a sucker for good fries and these were the bomb. After that, we ordered the Churros with Nutella dipping sauce and that was DA BEST. Everyone was super friendly and they even have a Tiki Bar right on the beach. Not everyday that you find fancy mexican food in the Keys. This restaurant sits on the deck on the beach side of the hotel with a very cool tequila bar and a magical view. The menu is small and simple but everything is pretty good. Dogs are also able to be in this area as well as the beach. We had the Queso dip along with a beer and a margarita while we waited for our room to be ready. We sat in one of the chair swings facing the beach to enjoy that magical view. The restaurant overlooks the beach and has an extensive drink menu with Mexican food and a few other items to choose from. What we ordered: Cilantro lime Shrimp bowl: this bowl was so amazing I got it twice! It is a very large portion and can easily be shared between two people. The shrimp was incredibly seasoned and cooked. If a bowl is not your thing you can also order any meat in taco form too! Guacamole: the guacamole was great and the chips are gluten free! This a great dish to start with Queso blanco: the queso was good and comes with a few things on top to add to the dish. Overall, this is a great place for lunch. I think I just found a diamond in the ruff in Key Largo!!! I was looking for a spot to have lunch with great views, drinks and some love on the menu and I certainly was impressed. Dry Rocks is located inside the beautiful Bakers Cay Resort that's owned by Hilton. The restaurant is small but the service and quality of food and drinks were everything! I started off with one of there signature drinks named Keys to the summer and then worked our way to the fish dip and then MahiMahi tacos. It's so hard to find a spot that's not crazy packed and have access to the beach with no seaweed. We stayed 5 days at Baker's Cay and this is one of their restaurants. The food was OK but the prices are very high (as is typical of these resort restaurants, so take that with a grain of salt). The "cheese" for the chips and loaded fries is like a cheese gravy. Would be better if it was just normal nacho cheese. Lobster tacos were OK. What a cool vibe here! Different levels... different views.... comfy over stuffed chairs, rocking chairs.... inside... outside. Ample, pleasant waitstaff continually checking on customers without being pesty. You can even bring your dog here - and there is a doggie menu, too! Met a friend here while I was on a stay-cation. We sat at the bar and had margaritas. They were really yummy and not acidic at all. The food menu has upscale Mexican. We decided to have lite fare. My friend had the salad with steak on it and I had the tostadas. The salad was huge and she took half of it home.
