I just ate lunch here this afternoon (6/5/2026) and it was delicious. I had the Italian beef, fries, and drink combo. The sandwich was steaming hot with a generous portion of meat, and the seasoned fries were great. The Italian Beef is one of my favorite sandwiches in the Birmingham area. I always have it hot and dipped. Pre-Covid, this store had another location down in Hoover a little past the Galleria, and I ate there at least once a week. Sad that that location no longer exists, but at least this one does, so I'm happy. I want to go back soon and try their wings with spicy peach sauce. That sounds tasty and different from the standard sauces every other place has. This next one might not be for everybody, but I also want to try their chicken liver/gizzard combo. I love those things in general, and freshly prepared as everything is here, they could be really good. I highly recommend this place. This was my first time trying food from this location. I stopped for gas at the station next door and decided to follow my curiosity and my stomach. There is no indoor dining, so it is takeout only. There are a few chairs and a bench inside for waiting, which works just fine. Since it was my first visit, I asked what they sell the most of. I was told wings and fish are the top picks, so I went with the catfish nuggets and fries. And because I have a very real and very serious sweet tooth, I also grabbed a slice of red velvet cake. I asked how fresh the desserts were and learned they are not made in house but delivered. The response felt a little rude, but hey, we are all human and the food more than made up for it! Let me tell you, the food came out HOT and DELICIOUS. I ate every single French fry. Even the tiny little baby fries hiding at the bottom of the container. Zero survivors. That says a lot. I also chatted with another customer who said he works in the area but lives in Montgomery. He tried this place once out of curiosity and now comes back regularly. That alone speaks volumes about the quality and consistency. The interior could definitely use a little TLC, but overall I was very satisfied with my first experience. They recently changed ownership and name. It's now called Wings Spot instead of Shark's. Located on the Northwest corner of Greensprings and Oxmoor, Wings Spot is very near I-65, next to a Burger King and shares the same building as a Shell station. Parking is a bit tight since the Shell station is basically on location. There's no drive thru so you'll have to park and go inside. I don't believe I've ever stopped to get gas at this Shell which explains why I've never been here to eat until now. As mentioned, this location is under new leadership which may explain why they don't have any dine-in tables in the lobby area. There's a small drink station to the right where you can fill you own cup with soda, lemonades and tea. Directly in front of the entrance is a small sliding plastic opening where place your order. The person who took my order was very nice and helpful. He even suggested a combo which saved me some money when I wanted to get a catfish meal and a side of wings. The menu is what I would equate to one of the Wings R King places. They have a bit of everything including salads. The only thing they're missing are hot soups. Otherwise you can get fish, shrimp, chicken, philly steak, cheeseburgers, fries, okra, cole slaw, baked beans, even a grill cheese sandwich just to name a few. Oh they have a recently added new wings flavor Spicy Peach. I opted for a fried catfish, okra, and bone-in wings. He handed me my empty styrofoam cup and I made myself a drink while I waited. They were fast and I had my to go order in under 10 minutes. Everything is to go but there is a small bench and a couple of chairs for you to sit if you don't want to return to your car to wait. The fried okra was fried nicely. The wings were breaded and fried and tasted pretty good. They gave me a nice sized catfish filet. It was seasoned and flash fried to perfection. The taste on it was pretty good too. It is definitely best eaten fresh out of the fryer and I only lived about 10 mins away. Had the combo where I got to choose 3 items for 11.99. I chose the chicken wings , liver and fried oysters. The chicken and oysters were so good and fresh. I wasn't crazy about the liver this time but maybe it was a one off. Other than that I really enjoyed everything. read more

I absolutely love this place! Everything that I have eaten from her has been good. Tonight we ordered the 20 piece wings half lemon pepper and half hot lemon pepper with fries and for my daughter I ordered her chicken nuggets. Let me say these aren't your typical basic chicken nuggets. It's actually strips of chicken breast cut into bite size pieces and seasoned very well. My daughter loved them. Everything is cooked to order which is a plus, but expect to wait at least 15 minutes for your order or you can call it in. The prices are very reasonable. The parking can kinda be messy since they are located out (right next to) a gas station, but it's well worth it for fresh hot chicken wings! I am absolutely mortified after ordering 2 catfish combos 07/08/2023 and to discover what I was eating was not US catfish. I have eat enough catfish in my life to know this isn't it. Sharks do better better to the community that supports you. I will never eat at any of their locations again. If you are interested in what the fish is; it may be Swai. A very well known and cheap sub that is passed off to customers as catfish. Google it. Restaurants all over the US have been getting over and add Sharks to the list. read more

Horrible! I have been going here for about two years, every Friday I come here and get cut wings lemon pepper flavored, I have never had my wings breaded, I pick up my order, I get home and notice that my wings had no lemon pepper on them, they were only breaded plain wings. I called back to ask if they could remake my order bc they had it wrong, the woman who answered who claimed to be the manager got smart with me and hung up, she refused to fix my order after they messed it up, needless to say, after 2 plus years, they have lost a customer!!! Stopped into sharks for oyster meal but they were out of oysters. I got hot lemon pepper wing combo, daughter got shrimp and honey stuffed crab combo, husband got shrimp combo. I made the mistake of given them another try at the hot lemon pepper wings but it was truly an epic fail, they were horrible, but the jumbo shrimp was "as they say" OFF THE CHAIN, that means they were good. The peach tea was diabetically sweet. My daughter says her food was good but just not enough as the stuffed crab is like the stuffed crab at Captain D's. My husband says his food was ok. The place share the same building with Shell's gas station which doesn't have many places for parking. Inside of the building isn't large and the first thing I realize while waiting for my food is they don't have restroom for there customers. The sink for hand wash were out of order and even though they had the air conditioner on, the heat from the kitchen kept it humid inside. It didn't take long for my food to arrive and everything on the plate were definitely hot and fresh. The catfish and the fries were season well and the hush puppies had a sweet taste which kept it moist and made it taste better than any other hush puppies I've eaten before. Great little hole in the wall spot for quick good food. They have many options of combos. I ordered the perch, oyster, shrimp combo and it was very good. Perch was superb. Oysters and shrimp great but a little smalll. I also ordered chicken wings cut. They were good, although next time I would probably order whole wings . This use to be my place in Ttown! I came to this location in hopes for the same experience & boy was I right. All I ever get here is the 10 piece hot wing combo. The wings are breaded which adds lots of flavor! The fries are heavily seasoned, you can even get them flavored with ranch or Cajun. The inside of the restaurant was dirty, the fried green tomatoes taste like hot glue, and the Oyster Po' Boy isn't much better. I really do want to like this, but my taste buds can't lie.
