Cash or card.....Limited space inside......Straightforward. You can wait in your car, while they perpare your order. The large picture windows allow you to see inside, so you'll have an idea when you order is ready. Although they didn't have jumbo shrimp at this location, they did at other locations.......Did I mention they have 4 locations? I opted for the "Chicago Style" shrimp, which i'm told is large shrimp with garlic breading. Served by weight, cooked to order and served in an open wax paper bag for crunchiness.......The shrimp were delicious. Perfectly cooked and the sesoning was light. I prefer cocktail sauce and hot sauce. These sauces were not homemade but good just the same........The servings for the sauces matched the shrimp size.......Large......I went back the next day...Overall, a great first time customer experience.

I really liked their menu, especially the fusion dishes. We ordered quite a few items.Paneer tikka masala, 100-layer potato, mango salad, paneer tacos, black lentil dal, and a couple of naans. Overall, I enjoyed almost everything except the paneer tacos. The highlights for me were the chilli cheese naan and the 100-layer potato, both were really delicious. We also ordered a few drinks, which were nice. Omg, the desserts were soo good. I forgot the name but it was a chocolate date slice. It was mouthwatering and extremely good. Must try... Overall, it's a good place to try unique fusion food, and they do a great job accommodating larger groups.

From the moment you walk in, the vibe just hits--dim lighting, warm tones, and that effortlessly chill atmosphere that makes you want to stay way longer than you planned. It's the kind of place where you can unwind, catch up with friends, and just be after a long day. The food? So good. The wings are coated in that perfectly sticky, flavorful sauce with just the right amount of heat, paired with crisp celery and carrots for the ultimate balance. The calamari is golden, crispy, and super tender--served with sauces that make every bite even better. And the fries? Classic, hot, and perfectly salted with those must-have dipping sauces on the side (because one is never enough). And what really ties it all together is the service--friendly, attentive, and genuinely welcoming, making the whole experience feel easy and enjoyable from start to finish. Whether you're popping in for something quick or settling in for a long, laid-back night, this is one of those spots that just gets it right every time.

We were there on Friday, so the fish and chips were all-you-can-eat. So crispy on the outside and flakey on the inside. So yummy. The chips were crispy and paired perfectly with the fish splashed with the malt vinegar. The green peas were good, but my favorite was the Stovies. If you've never had proper Stovies, this is your chance to try them. Potatoes and onions with bits of roast kind of like mashed potatoes or a very thick stew. So yummy. They also have an extensive drink menu.

Whiskey fans, you'll love the huge selection along with the impressive beer selection. Yelp should really hype this as a whiskey bar, too. It more than qualifies. The cuisine is phenomenal. Definitely a place to bring a large party on your first visit, so you can sample a multitude of wonderful creations. Pro Tip: if you can tolerate a large quantity of fish, visit on a Wednesday for their AYCE Fish & Chips. I've had many hum drum AYCE dinners that are drab and only fill you up. Not this one. It's a great meal and a great deal. The Shepherd's Pie was fabulous, as was the Bangers and Mash. They've created a Haggis Burger that has to appease Americans, yet, still be haggis. A tall order since most would hate "true" haggis. Fear not, it's not your grandfather's haggis, it is a tasty burger. The fries were great but I'd recommend the Tattie Skins. We tasted so many different malts it was hard to pick a favourite. No foolin' they had island malts, highland malts, speyside and even a couple from the lowlands. Easy to spend over two hours in this public house. We did. Can't wait to get back to this town. This is a must! 02/26

I swear everytime I've gone into a fish place recently they've all been out of catfish, but luckily…read morenot today! This black owned business has above average standing room in the waiting area, two TVs and an ATM with a good amount of seats/benches. Seems like it might've been an old chinese food joint with a few tables, but they opted for a pure takeout experience (which is unfortunately the trend nowadays.) Since it was my first time I thought I'd try both the fish and chicken combo along with the dirty rice. The total came out to be $24 with the wait being about 15 minutes. The staff overall were nice.      After leaving the place and checking the food. I realized that the combo dinner didn't contain a roll and coleslaw like advertised which was kind of disappointing. It did have the fries though. The requested lemon pepper was there, but they also seasoned the chicken/catfish with garlic powder, salt and parsley which is fine. Everything was fried hard, but not dry which creates the perfect pleasurable crunch. The chicken and fish tasted better than a lot of the restaurants in the area with the fish having a lightness to the breading that's sorely missed. Some of the chicken was weirdly tough though as if it was slightly undercooked.      Speaking of misses we have to talk about the dirty rice. Dirty rice is one of those dishes that seems like it either is absolute perfection or an abomination with no in-between. This unfortunately falls into the latter with it not only looking boring with all brown notes, but the initial taste as well as texture being an off putting creamy rancid trip to flavor hell. After a just a few bites my stomach turned which does not bode well for this dish. I have no idea what went wrong here, but it seems like it may have been sitting out too long. Even the smell was a bit rancid. At least it has a good ratio of ground beef to rice which a lot of places skimp on. They also attempted to add in some vegetables like peppers although they are barely noticeable.       Overall Surf's up is a good spot with friendly staff, decent prices, but some issues with quality. My advice is to make sure the cooking temps are correct and consistent. Definitely make sure if food is sitting idle, that it is kept at the mandatory minimum of 140 degrees farenheit to avoid it going rancid so quickly. Also, double check the orders before sending them out or edit the menu if it is outdated.
