We ventured over to this area of Danville to stop in the Goodwill and found Sharks Grill in the same parking lot. We were honestly pleasantly surprised! The restaurant itself isn't anything fancy and could be cleaner, but the food was great! And affordable too! We were most excited about the green tomatoes and they did not disappoint. My sausage was really good, cooked perfectly and juicy. My husband had buffalo tenders and fries and was satisfied. used to love this place! But NOT any more. Got a two piece catfish dinner and 10 piece fried oyster, every thing so over cooked it was burnt! We could not even eat the catfish because it had so much salt on it that you just spit it back out !! read more

I've seen a few arguments between staff right behind the counter. I've not had any negative encounters myself, but there should be more professional in front of customers. Shark's Grill is my single favorite restaurant in Danville. The head chef has quite the resume and it shows in the food. He is ALWAYS willing to customize orders and make off-menu accommodations. I really enjoyed the crawfish po'boy, gyro cheeseburger, gut buster (gyro/Italian beef sub), and meat lover fries. But the best part about this place is the seafood, most of which is brought in fresh several times a week from either Chicago or out of state. My personal favorite is the fried gator bites (chef will grill them instead if you ask). Some other delicious seafood options are the catfish salad, catfish nuggets, and boiled crawfish. We tried a little of everything. Alligator was some of the best I've had. Perch and Walleye were both good. It is a cornmeal breading on the fried fish. I love that the broilers also has broccoli so you get a vegetable. We got so much food for what we paid. We will be back. read more

We ate here for the first time tonight on a recommendation from a friend. So glad we tried it. It was a special night for my kid & he loves seafood but we're not huge fans of Red Lobster. I ordered the crab and lobster broiler and my kid ordered the shrimp and crab broiler. You get the choice between garlic butter or cajun seasoning OR if you just ask you can get both. The food was phenomenal, especially for being prepared in the midwest. The fresh portions were large with plenty of well seasoned vegetables. There was only one server working (Tues evenings are usually slow) and despite how busy she was, she was very prompt and friendly. Okay it has happened Sharks like many small businesses has raised prices, also their online menu is no longer accurate. My wife loved their 2 pound lobster and crab combo dinner, on the menu it is 34.99 we ordered that and the bluegill dinner which on the menu is 12.99, my wife left an 18% tip. Not really paying attention to the bill, well until I checked our checking statement, the total was 157.74! Yep that's right 157.74!! Thinking it was a mistake and since we were going to order for our daughters birthday we decided to just ask when we placed her birthday order. Well here it is. The combo doesn't exist, and they now charge 34.99 a pound for lobster tails and 17.99 a pound for crab, so when we thought we were ordering a 2 pound dinner we were ordering 2 pound of lobster, 2 pounds of crab. Hence the huge bill. We swallowed hard, and decided to return to red lobster from now on. read more

My family and I loved our meals here. Located in a quiet area at the end of a vacant shopping mall. The food was amazing. Menu choices have something for everyone. I can't say enough about this place! It's so good!! It's going to be our new family get together spot. I got the crab legs, my 3 year old got the "pizza puffs" and my aunt had the gist and shrimp (all pictured). They were all DELICIOUS! The only other place to get seafood is red lobster and this place is cheaper and wayyyy better. They give you a ton of food for what you pay. A little downside is if you have a lot of people you might be waiting for a bit for food but that's because he makes everything when you order it. And even then we didn't have to wait a super long time for how much he had to cook. It all came out hot and at the same time. Everything's fresh and not pre cooked and sitting under a heat lamp. The waitresses are super nice and informative. Btw that pizza puff I got for my 3 year old was amazing. We passed it around the table and everyone loved it.
