I have been wanting to check this place out for a while now and always pass it on Rt 30. The other day my father and I went in here to get some dinner. The hostess sat us near the window in a corner. The party next to us was so loud I couldn't even hear him right next to me. We waited about 22 mins before a waitress stumbled by us to ask if we had a waitress or anyone waiting on us. We told her no and that we were getting ready to leave. She quickly stepped up to the plate for someone else and took charge of our table. The food itself was really good and once we got a waitress it was pretty uphill from there. The only other thing the struck me as slightly off was the decor on the fireplace. It looked very winter themed...as I'd they may have forgotten to take there holiday decorations down. Overall I'd go back. They have some good specials. Just hope you get a decent waiter/waitress. read more

Kitchen was closed in the middle of a Saturday afternoon because of Steelers training camp. While that may make sense to management, it makes no sense to hungry travelers who don't want fast food and want to sit down and have a nice meal. Fine, we took our business elsewhere. read more

Hubs and I had a very good meal here at Sharky's and I feel I must update my review from a year ago. We pop in and out of here for drinks and appetizers, but this evening we joined a group of six for dinner and drinks. My better half got Shrimp Florentine and I requested classic grilled chicken sandwich with Cajun spice. I didn't want to interrupt our conversation with the others in our party to take pictures, but our food was presented well and tasted good. Sharky's is a sports bar and has added delivery options. Unfortunately, we are not in their radius. I am happy with our recent visits here as we were put off a few years ago with poor service from the staff. My boyfriend and I were visiting the area and stopped in. We were looking for a cool and chill Sports Bar type of place and we found it. Place was clean and inviting. We used to come here a lot, but it has been a while since we have been back. I went with my standby, a buffalo chicken salad. For one thing, the price is now $15 for a salad. I got pickled eggs and beets added for an extra $2. When it came out, I was shocked. It used to be a nice bowl of salad, and many times, I would joke that it was like a bottomless pit. Now, there was a very small amount of lettuce and the remaining toppings. I finished all of it and was still hungry. I get prices have gone up, but it's not fair to charge 25 dollars for a salad that isn't enough to fill you up. I will not be back here for a while. Hopefully, they will heed this advice and provide the quality and quantity of food they used to. At this point, I would not recommend going there. read more

This was my second visit. The first was for their wing days the service was great the wings were very good. This last time we sat at the bar I didn't get off to a good start the bartender was wearing what appeared to me to a nitie so I asked if they were having a slumber party this did not go over well. Sorry not sorry I like women's breasts as much as the next guy but I felt this was not a fit. Next I ordered a Philly Cheese steak as described meat, mushrooms onions and peppers provolone cheese. When the expeditor broght it out the meat was minced with a little cheese , I found one green pepper no onions no mushrooms and as I said one little green pepper. The manager came by and asked how everything was and I pointed out the lack of the toppings. He immediately took it and said I'll get that fixed for you. Returned shortly with another, same kind of meat dry a sprinkling of cheese not melted no toppings I again pointed this out to the manager he said the are probably minced. He offered me something else I asked for a burger, he asked pink or no pink I asked for pink when the Burger arrived it couldn't have been any dryer absolutely grey inside. The Manager tried but the kitchen failed completely . I can't say that I won't try them again but I'll give them time to work out their issues. read more

We ate there on 2 nights for our stay in Latrobe. Really like the atmosphere and the place, wish I liked the food more. First night it was their pizza special night, we had 2, they were ok. Crust was great, sauce seemed like it was out of a can. Second night they were out of my first choice, a stuffed chicken breast (who runs out of chicken?) So I ordered ribs. They were hard and overcooked, terribly tough, I think they covered them in sweet barbeque sauce to hide it. I scraped it off because it was so sweet. I only ate half because they sucked. Food was pretty good, prices ok, but we were very disappointed about the apparent lack of dress code standards for waitresses. They advertise children's menu and say they are "family friendly", but having half your breasts hanging out while serving families isn't appropriate. So passing this monstrous deck many times, we finally stopped in on a Sunday brunch...very wise choice by us :) The wood fired pizza was our main course and the fact that the service was VERY strong made for a great experience. They have a plethora of beer choices (bottles no drafts) but great pairing suggestions for many of entrees. For an app we decided on a pulled pork and cheese with pizza tips. Its one of those apps that is so cheesy, so rich that you can feel your arteries hardening and they have never been happier. Do try this place...we will be back. OK, Update! Well, in the new normal, this traditional eatery is not making it. While the food was never more than good or okay (it's never been great), and satisfying, our recent visit showed how downhill this place has gone in recent months. I was told by a few other patrons how the food quantity and especially quality has degraded, but we had to see for ourselves. It's true. And the service was absolutely horrendous. We were seated promptly, but then they were not at all busy for a Saturday. Then, we were waited on, but not promptly. Oh, yes, gone was the great complimentary popcorn, apparently a thing of the past (unfortunately, as this was always a treat to look forward to, and a reason to come here). After, and not joking, nearly 40 minutes, our order arrived. No apologies. Wow, portions have suffered, and so has quality. Wilted sandwich ingredients and cold fries. While the food quality is not welcome, on top of it the prices have skyrocketed. While we are getting used to premium prices most places these days, at least most establishments have retained their quality. Not Sharkeys. I think, no, I accept that this will be my last visit to this establishment. They've been living on reputation for some years now and they really need to raise their level back to something above long waits and low quality. Haste la vista Sharkeys, and I did not let the door hit me on the way out. read more

Anita did a great job. She had a full bar and handled it with ease. Never seeming frustrated or annoyed and with a smile. Refreshing to see.

7 of us went here after church today. The wait for a table was minimal and the beer was cold, hence the 1 star. They turned their pool tables into seating. I really disliked this because our family was sat so far apart we could barely talk to each other. We decided to go out so we could be together and the seating really defeated the purpose. It took what I think, the 1 and only employee for the whole restaurant, over 20 minutes to take our drink order. Another 20 minutes to come back with the drinks, then we were left for over a half an hour just waiting to order. Fast forward almost 40 more minutes to get our food. Wings were good, burger was overcooked and no pink center like I asked for, chicken salad was basic, stuffed chicken was like hospital food, and the philly steak sandwich was dry and horrible. I think all of the food sat under a heat lamp for a long time. The server had zero personality and was completely unapologetic. When everything was said and done we were there over TWO hours. This is unacceptable and I will never go back! Don't waste your money here where they must be trying to make up for the shut downs but grotesquely understaffing. read more

First time visiting.. we ate on "the pier" Outside. Upon entering u go up stairs no directions or signage. Where u are then greeted by a rude hostess that u seem to have unconvinced by your presence.. then the manager comes over-- for no reason to advise u it will be a 20 minute wait- can't request outside-- it's first available. Wait was 15 minutes no more and we did get seated outside. Food came out sparatically in no certain order.. 15 minutes after two of parties had no food and the rest of us were eating we asked about the food. Our waitress advised she wasn't in the kitchen and it was the food runners responsibility.... 10 more minutes later their food came out cold. The staff is clearly unhappy with their job and it reflects in the service but the food (that was hot). Was amazing.. I would probably order take out but won't be returning to eat in. read more

The perogis are double fried and almost inedible. I had to use twice the sour cream to give it any flavor. The fish tacos are literally fried fish cod and very mayo filled coleslaw. It was not good. I had to take off half the fried skin and ask for cheese and lettuce. Then the fries were over cooked and I got truffle fries. And it's literally just truffle powder sprinkled on some. Again not good. It's bar food and mediocre. Our meal was almost $60. Everything is way over priced and not good enough for their price points. read more

Me and my wife here for our son who plays basketball at SVC so we've been here and enjoyed the atmosphere and food. Not a good day today the blonde waitress walked passed us 4/5 times never said a word never asked what we wanted to order and after 20 minutes we decided to leave then she smartly said have a nice day. I told her it would've been good if I didn't feel judged. I'm African American by the way. I'll talk to the St. Vincent people if this is normal. My son and his teammates come all the time so I'll wait to pass judgement. Thanks for the response Calvin and maybe after my son's game tomorrow we'll return. I don't want to pass judgement on one person's reaction to us. Went here for a work thing a couple weeks ago... Hadn't been here in years... Got a southwest chicken salad and a cup of chili. Chili was good. Chicken salad was alright but nothing special. I liked that the manager replied to my comment on here and was open to comments and wasn't defensive..... It shows that you really care about your restaurant. I've changed my mind... I am a travel nurse in town a short while and have been to sharkys 3 times. The first time I asked for my burger med rare, came out hard as a rock. The second time I ordered the avocado burger which was really good. The 3rd time for brunch I ordered dippy eggs which came out so burnt the yolk was comparable to a hard boiled egg yolk. The toast came with no butter and my husbands French toast was burnt. Takes forever to get a table. Will not be giving them another chance at food, may come back for $2 mimosas. read more
